  1. i brought my old matterhorn miners boot home, steel plates all the way up your foot, and i'm adding +2 to my shifter. just been using cat boots before that. almost 3 years daily, and barely worn
  2. ok, i'm not 100% on the trinity head, but it should be held together with dowels on either side. push the domes out through the bottom and you can get a heel bar in there an gently ease the 2 halfs apart. be carefull not to damage either edge.
  3. do you know which gold series? there are 3 kinds. are you running the lid or snorkel? oh, and stock jetting is not ok with your mods
  4. you'll probably need 250-needle in the middle, but you might wanna start with 260, and go back down if it's too rich
  5. depending on your oil ratio and temp, i'd say 240-260 mains, stock pilot, and needle in the middle, or 1 clip rich
  6. aren't the toomy needles longer and fatter than stock needles?
  7. i have some uncut 22's i'll trade strait across for your 17's. may put you in the pump range
  8. ok, something just crossed my mind- is your filter a name brand k&n, or just k&n style. some of them are oil-less, and if you oil them, they will become verry restricted, causing the exact symptoms yolu're having
  9. think it would be more difficult to try to simplify to a "porting for dummies" mabey just 2 sections to the video; 1 regular technical, like your explaining to an experienced motorhead, and another section explaining some of the terms and processes. i.e. port durations, and how to measure
  10. i have a good left carb body pre-drilled for idle screw. $20 plus the ride. pm me if interested. free tech support, too
  11. haha, you're right. they should. but they don't up here. all i can get is "power jets" and they don't even know what sizes. outrageous pricing, too. worth a shot, though
  12. if you have a stock timing plate and key, there is an indicator cast into the top case @ about 2:00
  13. just want your bad or old stators before you toss them
  14. either/ or pretty much
  15. jeff @ FAST
  16. oh yah, your lean on the mains. should be between 300- 320
  17. which pipes, which reeds, elevation and temp? sounds a few sizes lean on the mains, and rich on the needle/ airscrew
  18. oh, you need to know the wiring
  19. the needle setting is for the middle 75% of the throttle range, which includes over 1/8 throttle
  20. plug caps?
  21. you can downsize them in photobucket, then click on direct link under the pic, and add to post
  22. playwith your needles and airscrews. sync carbs.
  23. haha, i know what it is. i was just questioning it's use. you don't want it to etch the aluminum if you're gonna polish it, or it will be 10x harder then just polishing it. was that 3030, or 3001 diamondplate?
  24. x2 i replaced forks, and all that jazz, but the channel was worn at the top of 2nd. only looked like 1 mill, but just enough to still make an issue
