the only difference in the long rod and std rod is the 795 pistons for the long rod. case porting is just matching the ports in the case to the jugs and is not required. you can buy stroker domes from noss, pd, or any other cool head manufacturer.

if you have "top end pipes" you shouldnt be bogging in 6th gear.

pilots affect idle through 1/4 throttle, so it has nothing to do with power on top. if it idles good and runs well through 3/4 throttle you should look at the mains. did you do a plug chop?

youre gonna have to machine the domes either way. the long rod is a 115mm rod, the standard is 110mm. the 795 series piston has the wristpin moved up 5mm for the increased rod length. so if you go with the standard rod, you can use standard pistons. the increased rod length decreases side load on the cylinder wall and is more reliable. the long rod setup isnt too much more expensive if any, so i see no downside to going with it. thats what i went with.

did you buy the billet mount also? the plastic bracket that comes in the kit sucks. i made my own mount. ill post pics of it later on today. and i believe you splice the radiator hose between the head and radiator.

you can change the pulses per revolution to 2

im not sure it matters, but i put mine between the head and radiator

i powered mine from the hot wire going to the headlight switch. the temp sensor splices into the radiator hose, tach wire needs to be taped onto the plug wire (thats right, just tape about 1" of the wire onto it and use electrical tape), use the supplied bracket to mount speedo cable, and use any screw that mounts to the frame for a ground.
