  1. Moving to Vegas: A man walks into his bedroom and sees his wife packing a suitcase. He says,"What are you doing?" She answers, "I'm moving to Las Vegas. I heard prostitutes there get paid $400 for doing what I do for you for free!" Later that night on her way out the wife walks into the bedroom and sees her husband packing his suitcase. When she asks him where he's going, he replies... "I'm going to Vegas too. I want to see you live on $800 a year!"
  2. Allright, we just need to know: 1. Who can do the shirts; vinyl would be OK for the text but not sure about the graphics...I would think silkscreen would be best but I think the more colors, the higher the cost. What would 2 color silk cost? 3 color? 2. Who can do the flags? I think a blue flag with white lettering is what we more or less settled on, so would vinyl hold up better than silkscreen on a flag? Cost? Here's the last one I had, I'm partial to the stencil one on top: 3. What would 12"x3" vinyl cut decals of the red tribal Bansheehq.com cost? 4. What would 36"x4" vinyl cut decals of the white tribal Bansheehq.com cost? 5. WHO'S DOWN? Has anyone else actually bought anything from Lee's store? Lee, is the store doing OK? Are you open to this stuff or would you care if some of these guys handled it themselves (might be able to work something out there to support the HQ too)?
  3. Happy Berfday Stan!! Have a good one! mine was tuesday, sniff, b370 that sprocket hub was the best thing I got!
  4. I'll work on it...anyone remember these fucking flags? Everyone was like "hell yeah I'll buy those blah blah fucking blah". I just wanted one of the damn things and it got nowhere: Sick Boy, I've been talking to Lee and Hockey390 about some vinyl cut decals like this, I need another pair for my Banshee (roughly 12"x3"), Lee said something about selling the ones he's got now but doesn't have red...
  5. Banshee33, like this? I think that's a shot of installerdrew...
  6. Aight mang, how's this?
  7. That's just wrong mrmatt, sure as hell hope they don't make you stay...got any sick leave?
  8. Something like this NYUK? Front closeup: This is really really rough but might be a cool idea, lettering on the sleeves would be nice, and so would a black shirt with silver lettering...
  9. Would be a good idea for a FAQ (or how-to for the FAQ section), I've gone over it briefly in the Jetting FAQ, Q#30, but without any pics...
  10. Not even for a day trip Lefty?? You're pretty close aren't ya? Work will still be there when ya get back...at least mine will (I'm confident they won't do shit and there will be a huge stack on my desk).
  11. Here's a little history lesson for ya, courtesy of Yamaha: '87 Banshee
  12. Yes you can, actually if you flip it up on the right side you can change both seals without even draining the tranny fluid. Obviously you'll hafta remove the stator cover (and the left footpeg & shift lever to get it off), and the countershaft sprocket, but after that you should be able to pry them out carefully (try not to gouge the case where the seal sits) and tap in new ones. I don't think you need to separate the cases at all, and if you did I would pull the whole motor to clean off the old Yamabond and go back with new...
  13. Same here. I did a topend (FYI biloxi a "topend" is regular maintanence on a 2-stroke; consisting of new pistons, rings, and boring the cylinders) after I had my '96 for about 2 years, I put about 200 hours on it and no tellin' how many hours the previous owner put on it. I've put another hard 100 hours on it since, including MX, TT, and desert racing and the compression is still holding up perfect. Bottom line, take care of it and it'll last...
  14. We haven't had much winter here, but I just can't wait for Roostfest, six more days... Stay warm guys, spring is on the way, just make sure shee's ready to rip.
  15. STLBill, unless where you ride has real narrow trails (which I assume it isn't since you want a +2 axle & a-arms eventually), just installing a +2 axle alone will only improve handling. Trust me, a +2 axle alone with stock a-arms makes a big improvement in handling alone, and if for some odd reason you didn't like it, you can always go back to the stock width...my LSR +2 axle uses a spacer on each end that will let you go back & forth between stock width and +2. So if all else fails I would highly recommend investing in a Lonestar axle right now, you got the prefect excuse to upgrade... BTW to avoid havin' to beat the axle out in the future, I would also highly recommend installing a grease zerk on the carrier. The only time I've taken mine apart after having done that everything came apart like it was buttered. Good luck.
  16. That's cool Rod, better than nothing, guess we'll see when we get there...
  17. Yeah baby! The time is near...
  18. Damn nice Mustang Tungsten, 64 1/2 or '65? I had a '66 notchback with a little 289 and 3-speed way back in the day.
  19. Pickup coil gap: .015"-.020"
  20. Thanks for the link, I sent this to ABC:
  21. Looks great Tungsten, better stake your claim on that garage before she gets any ideas...
  22. At the four-wire connector coming from the stator, test with an ohmmeter: Charging coil should be 13.7-20.5 Ohms (red to green wire) Pick up coil should be 94-140 Ohms (white/red to white/green wire) Lighting coil should be .26-.38 Ohms (black to yellow wire) If that all checks out, make sure you have the right gap between the pickup coil and the flywheel magnets. If your wiring harness is intact (not rubbed against the frame anywhere and grounded out) and all the connectors are tight, only thing that's left is the CDI and the only way to test it is to swap in a known working one. Good luck.
  23. Damn nice pics Meat, gotta love that Texas dust. I voted for Bill but hope Borich, Yokley, Smiley and Duval give him a run for his money. I gotta get my AMA card soon too. 250R's got outlawed in the Pro class? Huh.
  24. Lowering will only give you an advantage in cornering (like for TT/flattrack/ice racing), and to some extent drag racing, but for trail riding I wouldn't recommend it. Alot of lowering kits don't recommend jumping at all so that would indicate to me that you really wouldn't want to chance it on rough terrain. Plus the lower you get the more limited your suspension travel gets anyway. If you wanted a little lower stance, assuming your trails would permit it, try going to smaller tires (like 19" front and 18" rear Holeshot MXR's). Just bear in mind that the smaller rears will affect your gearing and reduce ground clearance, but compared to stock tires they'll hook up and handle better...
  25. I agree with everyone else about the width-as a matter of fact I think just widening the rear axle alone makes a much bigger improvement in handling than widening the front end. Get the wide axle, you won't regret it. Lonestar is the only axle I've ever used and never had a problem, I would recommend them. I don't have any firsthand experience with Durablue so can't say they suck, but have heard enough horror stories to stick with LSR.
