  1. Congratulations bansheeryder21!!
  2. Yes you'll either need a battery or a batter eliminator (find them on ebay) along with the RZ stator and electronics to run the powervalves. If you're talking about using a high-output Banshee stator, it would probably work but you're gonna need to do some alterations to the rest of the system...the easier way would be to stick to the complete RZ system. The powervalves cycle open and closed when the ignition is first turned "on" if you have a battery, I don't think it's really a big issue if you decide to use the battery eliminator instead, the battery itself isn't a neccessity but getting power to the PV controller is... As for the exhaust, no Banshee pipes are gonna fit without an adapter. RZ jugs just have a flat mating surface with two studs; their pipes had a 2-bolt flange that was secured to the cylinder with 2 nuts. You should be able to get a muffler shop to fab up a pair of adapters, essentially just the 2-bolt flange with a short spigot that matches the pipe ID, you might also want them to weld a washer on there to hook the pipe springs to (I haven't gotten that far on mine yet heh). You might also check with RZ's Unlimited, thought they had them for sale...
  3. I did that to my RZ tranny but haven't gotten to try it out yet (still waiting on a crank)...did it with a pnuematic die grinder and a straight burr, you might give that a shot before taking it to a machine shop...
  4. Thanks everyone!!! I really appreciate it, ya'll have no idea heh, it's damn good to have the friends I do Cheers guys and girls!! Thanks BHQ!
  5. You can use Simple Green instead of the K&N cleaner, not sure of an alternative to the K&N oil tho. You might give Outerwears a call and see if they make one that will fit your filter...
  6. You'll get there man, just don't give up. As others have said, everything has a way of working out one way or another, it's hard to see it when you're stuck in the middle but when it's really shitty, it's gotta get better!!
  7. Yeah led that's fuckin' life for ya, but that shit happens to the best of us. Live 'n learn, lean on yer friends when ya need 'em, and ride on my brother
  8. HELL YEAH!
  9. Got a new home for the Jetting FAQ, Electrical FAQ, plug chop how-to, and the Excel speed spreadsheet: Jetting FAQ Electrical FAQ Plug Chop how-to Speed/gearing Excel spreadsheet Not sure how long I'll have that server space either, but just in case somebody needed 'em I thought I'd post it. Some of the links need to be changed in the FAQ's but all the info is there...
  10. Congrats Brooke!!!
  11. Awesome work joshdagreat56!!! That's just plain sick, love it
  12. I knew ya wouldn't want to part with the buggy, sentimental value, but if it was me I'd feel the same about the Bansh I mean if you're wantin' something to just tool around on, might as well swap the EX for the XR...really if you had both being so similar (at least motor-wise) I think you'd find yourself riding one alot more and the other collecting dust, but if you kept the Banshee you'd always have that adrenaline rush when you wanted it...
  13. Skat Trak Hauler Extremes here, and Mohawks up front, love 'em. Got them from RMA.
  14. That's good news FoxBansheeRacing, hope he recovers fully, keep us posted.
  15. Never seen one like that stu. I use a cheap Rand's swaybar for TT, and on my Ricky Stator a-arms I had to modify the top link of the swaybar just a little to make it fit. Kinda hard to explain but the way mine works there's a vertical bar running from the bottom shock mount bolt upwards to the trailing arm of the swaybar, there is barely any clearance between the rear of the shock and the rear tube of the upper a-arm...
  16. ROFL!!!! Helpless woodland creatures omg hahahahahahahahahaha!!! This has got to be one of the most entertaining threads I've read in a long time, you guys had me fallin' out of my chair... And for the record, I can respect the opinions expressed on both sides, some of ya's don't like it or understand it, that's great, whatever floats yer boat. However, if you have never hunted varmints (most Western states classify rabbits and other rodents as such and with a license it's open season, no limit), unloaded an assault rifle without endangering human life, or simply blown the crap out of an innocent inanimate object (copier, PC, etc.)...YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!
  17. You're a sick puppy led...haha welcome to the fuckin' club I hadn't seen 'em before, hilarious in a demented kinda way and I WANT THE SOUNDTRACK!!!
  18. Have a good one D34!
  19. Led your best bet is a barn cat man, even if ya don't like cats they are fucking lethal to anything smaller than your Beagle. Just like the thread about dogs being the best thing to alert you of an attempted burglary, cats are hard to beat for terminating rodent pests... We got one here at the shop, showed up as a kitten but had been fending for himself. We got him shots and neutered, and all he does is lay around the warehouse all day and kill shit at night. Ask around, I'm sure one of the neighboring farms will have 'em, trap one of those bastards and set him loose in the garage and if he hangs around (a little food and water once in a while won't hurt, a set of shots so he doesn't get Rabies, and get it fixed so it won't want to find, well pussy lol) he'll annihilate any varmints
  20. LMAO!!
  21. There's a little more about LT's at www.macdizzy.com, try this link: http://www.macdizzy.com/lt250.htm And BTW sredish, I don't know for sure how the LT's powervalves work, but a battery isn't a necessity, just look at the vacuum-operated valves on aftermarket (like Cheetah, T-Rex, etc.) Banshee jugs...
  22. Ok she's on a stand so the front suspension is extended, I get 47" across the front and 48.5" on the rear (+2 axle and flipped stock rims). On the ground I'll bet the front is real real close to the rear, right between 48" and 49"...
  23. Those are hilarious, also check out the Austin Road Trip
  24. I'll hafta round up a tape measure and check it tonight, mine fits between the wheelwells of my truck so I'm guessing between 49" and 50". From what I can tell on ITP's site, yes you're right stock offset is 3+2, so the 4+1's should drop your width 2" on a side from the 2+3's...so theoretically you should be 1" wider on each side than stock (43.3" on Yamaha's site) using 4+1 on +2 a-arms: about 45"...but if you've got 50.5" the new rims should at least get you down to 48.5"... Anyway, yes the courses here have been pretty technical, alot more like a GNCC than a Baja race. Talked to one guy from AZ on a built DS650, and he hated our courses, said they were way too tight compared to his desert races We've run a couple through trees but usually the more technical sections are real tight arroyos, and well a shitload of whoops. Huge whoops. Fucking park a compact car between them and either double 'em or do like Jason does; pin it in 4th, sit back on the seat, close your eyes and hang on But none of us have really had any issues with width, Chris (ridingorhiding) runs Janssen +3 LT a-arms on I think stock offset rims. I was using 2+3 rims on +2 a-arms and went to stock offset rims and liked it better, mostly because it felt like the tires were less apt to get jerked off center than the wider ones, but I really could use a steering stabilizer too...
  25. Ngelati there's a buncha LT250R pics here: http://www.quadracer.com As banshee tuner said, they don't have the top end power as a Banshee but make up for it with more bottom end and torque, so may be better suited to an MX track (alot will depend on the rider). Compared to a Honda 250R the LT doesn't have quite as good front suspension, and the chain adjustment is as bad or worse than the Banshee's. The early LT's had motor probs ('85 and '85) but the later years were better, BTW '92 was the last year they were produced here in the US. Anyway, if it's a good deal I'd check it out and see how it looks.
