start with new plugs. then swap plug wires from one side to the other and see if it changes the miss. after that i would suggest a compressions check, clean carbs really good, make sure both slides are moving up and down, check reeds etc etc
i know i wont be able to make it. cool that you guys had a good time. who all ended up going? i would like to go up there sometime mid sep. if you wanna go
have you ruled out the stator? not sure about the resistance but there is a repair manual in the repairs forum maybe it will show it is stickied at the top
4 strokes are ok for certain things. the 4 stroke craze right now is more of a fad than anything else. if some ass bag created the 3 stroke tomorrow and built it up to be the best race ready machine ever made then everyone would want one. just because 2 strokes are thought of as older technology since they arent really developed anymore doesnt mean they arent as good. as was said before maintnance is everything on any atv or vehicle you are gonna bash around out in the woods or at the track
i cant help much. but i had t5's before and 916's now and the joint where the pipe and mid pipe come together is much further back on the 916's. but maybe if you use t5 head pipes you could mount the 916 silencer more toward the front somehow and make it work together. it would be tricky tho with the way the silencer and mid pipes go on
hows the bike running lyn with the cpi's? im all for a rain makeup date on the 15th as well. maybe we can make it happen. it is raining like crazy now but we will see what the rest of the week does. man dave that sucks about your shee. believe me tho you have the same trouble with four strokes except when they come apart you are out thousands instead of hundreds
got a sprocket from a guy that got it from rocky mountain atv. it is 13 tooth and fits on the banshee output shaft but the total diameter of it is much bigger than my old 13 tooth sprocket. the guy called rmatv and they said it is the right one. but my question is, will the total diameter being different affect the gearing of my bike or will it be the same since it has the same number of teeth????
thats awesome man. our drag races (johnson county fair) got rained out tonight. me and jugriggs are gonna try to run brown county drags next wednesday if anyone wants to make the trip to run
yah id bump your pilots and see what happens. i currently have 50 pilots in my pwk 28s and when i went down to 45's it idled and revved like crap. seemed like it was fouling plugs and had a really bad air leak. but when i put the 50's back in it was perfect again. get some 48 or 50 and see what happens. has it run fine before with this same carb setup?
