  1. i know you guys never get tired of jetting questions so here we go. i looked down through the jetting thread and no one had the same setup as me. currently at .080 over, t5's, chariot reeds, timing plate at +4, elevation around 800 ft, stock port and stroke. im thinking about starting in the neighborhood of 145 or 148 but would like to know if anyone else has a similar setup and what they are running. i have 50 pilots but im def. thinking those are too big. any help appreciated including main and pilot size, needle type and position, and air screw adjustment travis
  2. damn lyn nice addition. youll always have a riding buddy now.

  12. hoping we can be there no later than 4 or 5 on friday. we will hook up with buck and anyone else thats there by then and find a good camp spot. we are bringing some firewood as well. a banner would be a good idea and i dont think speedy is coming so maybe we can make one up to put up when we get there so if we are out riding others will know where we are. me and griggs and another buddy are gonna be poppin champagne and listening to village people in our brokeback 4 man tent if anyones interested...
  13. ive had some luck with barbecue paing. id hate to go sanding on chrome pipes but since their yours i guess just sand the piss outta them and get them good and clean before painting
  14. i hope your right. once i do some plug chops ill run it some and see if the noise goes away. it may not even be detonation that im hearing, i was just a little worried so thought id ask. any one know a good way to describe what deto. sounds like? as for the 10 pound difference, its because the left side got a bit damaged from a broken circlip. i honed it and cleaned it up best i could for now im hoping it will last me the rest of this year since im .080 over and ill prolly need different juggs next time....damn circlip
  15. just had a stock head milled a bit for a little more bottom end. now my comp numbers are 150 on the right and 140 for the left. i was pretty rich before so i leaned my jetting a bit and now throttle response is really crisp, gonna do some chops to make sure im not too lean. anyway i assume i should probably be at least mixing in some 110 with those #'s and +4 timing. do you guys think im ok with mixing 50/50 110 and 94 (sunoco)? when i started it after getting it back together i noticed a ping from the right side (150 psi) so i know i need to do something. if i adjust my timing back to 0 would i be ok on 94 or should i just mix to be safe, or do i need to go complete 110? my elevation is around 800 ft if that matters. also will detonation be more likely to occur when the motor is warm or cold? seemed like after it warmed up a bit it went away. sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance for the help.
  16. maybe a little rtv with duct tape over the top and youll be set. i wouldnt think fiberglass bondo would stick to plastic tho if thats what your talking about. i wasnt paying attention to the other shee in your sig, which one you bringing?
