  1. Had the uni's without the filters on my raptor and it started to suck in the fine sand. Moved to a K&N with outers and havent had a prob yet. The outers are a key in filtering... Helps keep the water off and blocks the bigger dirt and sand from entering your filter so it stays cleaner longer. found this on the net.. Why pay $30-70 for prefilters or outerwears (air box lid covers) when there must be similar material available for a fraction of the price. I headed over to JoAnn fabrics and sure enough, there is this "black casa sheer" material that is the EXACT same stuff as the Prefilter material! However it's only about $6 per yard....and the material is doubled up. So basically you can make over 10 prefilters for about $6. I grabbed some elastic and my hot glue gun and tried to make a cover by measuring the box lid and cutting the material oversized and wrapping it around the elastic. It doesn't look perfect, but once you stretch it over the air box you can't tell the difference between mine and the $70 one.
  2. buy them things.. you can always have them revalved and springed. If not you can put them on ebay and make money off them. But what kind of shocks are they? the Pros are ok but if you can get some black widows or some pro series piggy back with compress is a must and reboud is a plus. the triples are great for all riding. My brothers got the Pro series (DSR)'s on his raptor and they work great and just had them rebuild for like 150.00 but that was just revalving oil and charge and a rush order for some parts due to a dunes trip. I have the elka dunes on my raptor and they are sick ass hell. But for he banshee i have the yfz 450's with burgard arms and i couldnt be happier. the reason why i put the 450 shocks on because i got them off a new bike for 100.00. As for the arms I wish i would have done this when i first got the bike.
  3. The 450 shocks on the stock arms are a work to put them on. but they are like night and day to the stock shocks. I was riding some Mx track with stocks and bottomin out alot. put the 450s on there and stopped killin me on the landings and they are tunable but just put one burgards +2+1's on and the banshee should have came this way stock
  4. Looks like im going to be trying to find a oven that can fit my frame into...They got some Hot Pink? (LOL)
  5. Anyone know if the Raptor 660 stock front lines will fit the Banshee and if so are they longer?
  6. Found a Vito's Tors kit on ebay for $60.00 shipped....Anyone know of this kit. and if there are any other kits i need to be looking into? Thanks
  7. where can I get alcohol? LOL sounds funny
  8. Ya the SAW I love this weapon for when im walking through the city but the only thing is trying to carry all the ammo for it. Its fun when you get to lay down a belt of 100 rounds in about 5secs to give cover. But ya. the E85 i dont even want to run in my bike because i know what works and that is the gas that was made for it. but it will come around one of these days. but not these week. My friend was telling me that there is a special map in the E85 cars and trucks so it will sense from the 02 senser... so unless you got and 02 to run on your bike to keep changin your jetting I just dont see the big thing in running it unless you can start mixing it with reg pump gas but ill let the guys that do that and write back on here. I was readin back on Toulene and there was a guy on here that knows his shit and Im praying that he will chim in on here. I dont remember his screen name but He should have some input on how and whats going on...I think it is FireHead but correct me if im wrong But ya im think we should set up some snipers on the boarders of Mex about 2 miles apart and just start layin down some people. I mean if you come up to a point and starting seeing your people laying there I think I would turn around. Just a thought due to if they can come over are boarder well then Rag Boy or Girl can make it to.
  9. When your inthere check your pilot jetting. Also while your inthere get some carb cleaner and clean everything its justs a think i like to do when im in there and if your floats are sticking its time to clean...FYI
  10. Your going to run into people liking every other pipe out there... You are doing your research and that is good. You need to talk to a builder and thats why everyone is asking what your mods will be so they can match everything for you so everything working together. But all in all. and after market pipe is a great mod to start with if you know the direction you are going into and what you want from your bike. I for one went with the fattys and love the hell out of them... I do dunes in the winter and trails in the summer and those pipes seem to do just fine. But the top end is a little flat but hell im not drag'n so it doesnt bother me. and as for upgrading to the big bores for pipes i cant even put a finder on that. But this is the place to find out.
  11. as much as I want this bike to go to some one on here at HQ but let along someone need a bike...Kind of like a fire. flood. and do this shit over tv as a probo...this will bring in more people which will be more people helping out... Just thinking here :ermm:
  12. I have an E85 GMC truck... The power is great when i use the E85 but shitty for milage. we did a little test with my truck from where i live to nashville and back and the Reg gas is better milage...I was asking my budy that works for GM and said that the engine runs cleaner and thats about it and the fuel is made from home crops.. so thats the only upside. I did a seach on Youtube and they had two SUV's both not set up for e85 on only had e85 run on it and the other with normal gas and the e85 was the cleanest looking inside of the engine. But other then that...Be looking to use about twice the amound of gas. Other then the Gov trying to make a good running gas rather then using all oil gas we have a starting poing and soon it will be like running a diesel off of my frys i had for dinner from BKing...But back to my truck i can say much more then i love it and only with i dad the 08 diesel gmc that my brother has for towing the 5thwheel out..but im getting around 24 highway mile wo/E85 and 14-18 in citys with my full size gmc truck so i cant say much on that part I guess if you want better Gas Milage then get a bike or start walking I will only live so long tell this earth eats its self from the mild east over seas. All I can say from where I have been, seen and done in iraq that i love this country and will never leave its side. The way they leave i like how we lived in the late 1800 I guess some have power and some done...the shitter is a hole in the floor dug out. and thats about it.. and a place i never want to go to again from searching houses after houses unless i gett to some how get a 4x4 fourwheel with a m249 on the front so i can chaise down anyone that wants to run... It will be a spectra gun ship on the gound with fast moving through and over anything... Sorry for the rant there. But all and all on the E-85 I guess it is a good gas but still has some looking into.. I mean we started with steam and all Thats a big way
  13. You are going to have to ream the spindles. I found a shop here in Phx to do mine for $12. I dont remember what the Deg of ream was but you can call burgard and they can help you out. But as for he Arms...I love them. Im happy I went with these arms becauase as hard i ride my bike and throwing it off dunes and jumps seems to hold up just fine for me. Couldnt ask for anything better. And as for the shocks... What kind of elka's you thinking about getting? I got the Dunes on my raptor and love them...Just looking and waiting to find some for the Banshee...
  14. Run 100 oct just to be safe with the start up
  15. What all is done to your bike so some more people can put their input on here.
  16. I like your thinking...Just tape it up and pour the fluid and come back in about an hour...I like that. Leaves more time for watching Football
  17. Ya i like these arms.. i have them on my bike and my dad has them on his raptor. And that is a great price
  18. Ya watch the power band... I was riding in the woods and it started to rain so we started are way back and it started to rain really hard.. well short story is that I started to come up a hit and it was wet and rocky and i hit the powerband Hard to get up and it hooked up and it flipped back over on me and i was laying in a stream of water with my bike on top of me... just locked my legs and arms out and just rolled back and pushed it off. But ya the banshee is one hell of a fun bike to ride. just take it easy for some time tell you get use to the powerband and then ride the Living hell out of it like they are ment for. and what kind of suspension does it have on it?
  19. That is a funny CHART... prob the best one of i have seen in sometime... Also remember that timing will play a big fact in oct as well. Just let the builder know if you want to run race gas or pump and what alt. you are at and they can put you in the area of what size of domes you need to run. Just remember that the stock trank can only take some much more before it starts to come apart on you...
  20. well I normaly dont have time to be looking down and trying to read the gauge but a liquid filled gauge will alow of a better read. Another thing is put some bright hash marks for where you want your temp to be and what you dont want it to go over so it will be easier to read when the back needle is in the area you have an idea of what the temp is at and if it passes the line you dont want then you know to shut it down and take it easy. Just a thought or you can pop the none liquid filled and get some tritium paint and paint the needle and still put some lines on the inside of the cap so that why you can read it at night with a little charge of a light everynow and then. (I might have to patten this)
  21. Just like is says... What are you guys using to oil your cables? I tried to do a seach but nothing came up but was reading a while ago on someone was oiling their cables like every 6 months and it made them feel like new. I would think like a silicone base product, white lithium grease or graphite lubricant? Just trying to find out what works the best.
