  1. Vice grips and no 12mm wrench? What the HELL!!!! 12mm is a very popular wrench!!!
  2. I got one that is rebuildable. dont remember from where but off of Ebay. It has 7 diff settings on there. I have it all the way set to hard and what a diff. it takes a min to get use to but it is night and day. I went from only riding about half the day none stop to ridin in my sleep. It is night and day diff and will always have one put on my bikes no matter what. It takes all the arm pump out of the riding so all you have to do is clutch and hammer the gas and hold on!!!!
  3. do a search on YouTube....There are some How Too's on there.
  4. ya ya got the top side of it im lookn for pics of the back side of the gauge. Thanks
  5. Do you have a pic on how your gauge is mounted? And thanks again for all the pics and help...
  6. Would love to see some more pics for the gauge set up of how its mounted and the T-sending unit. One Question? What is the temp you guys starting to see when you shut the bike down?
  7. http://dunereview.com/Modifications.htm Check this place out on how to make one!
  8. get an 01 660 raptor is about the only other bike that will fit...you are better off sending in the stocker and getting it valved and respringed for what you want out of it...
  9. Been lookn for the 35w's. Where are you finding them? Homepot?
  10. dont buy from the company and buy from a dealer. But as for the elka dunes are great in the dunes but i woundnt ride them in the baja side of riding. they are vavled and springed just for the dunes and not really dual purpose. Thats why i say try to find a dual/triple rate spring shock. And the elka linkage adds travel so i would if i could go with the elka rear end set up. Here is the front end on my 660 with alba 2+1 front end with elka dunes
  11. you also might want to look into a steering stabilizers. I can ride so much longer and you dont get the damn arm pump when you hit rocks and tracks of other quads and rail.
  12. sense you have the front and the rear. I would do the front first and see if you like how it turns with the swinger. I would lookin for a shock that has a dual or better a triple rate springs. The compression adj and the rebound is a great thing for a shock and for tuning them into the areas of riding. it is really easy to ride alittle bit and see if you want it softer or harder. I say do the front first due to the fact that my turning was better when i put my 2+1's on and love the way it handles and i put a +4 axle on the back. but like how MJ said. your motor will say how long of a swinger and what kind of riding your doing. If you not racing alot i would say the +2 but sense its +4 already just leave it and try it. I can tune my elka's in about 10mins of riding but im always changing them depending on how fast and how hard we ride the dunes and trails. I didnt like the idea of always changing the compression and rebound but once your read and figure it out you will wonder why you didnt do it sooner!
  13. You can have a fast quad but if you dont know how to ride then im going to say your not going to be fast at all. Like that one guy doing some hammer shifting that got sucked off his bike...LOL but ya traction is a big key and if you can heat the tires up if your on the streets and practice doing launches. I have gone through a clutch just learning on how the fade and launch the shit out of the SHE. And get video of this. you have time to prep so get it done. oh and check your rear tire press.
  14. Let everyone on here know what you have for mods and they can start you in the direction for getting what you want out of your bike. And the smaller the cc' the higher the oct. And let them know what kind of gas your wanting to run and where you live for ALT.
  15. umm did you do a compression test with warm engine or a cold engine? and did you turn off the gas and hold the throttle open when you kicked it over? And 120 seems like its starting to need in a new top end. And put some pipes on that thing and open it up.
  16. Hell ya get a stabalizer...they are night and day...you will beable to ride all day with that thing..I have mine cranked up to number #7 for the dunes. thats one of my first mods ill always get for a bike... as for the spacers i wouldnt run them do to the fact that the wheel studs. And you do or you dont have after market arms already? The axle is a great upgrade. and for the swinger i would prob just stay the same for right now tell you see how the 421 handles with the stocker to see if you want to go longer or shorter... Just my input.
  17. check this out.. http://dunereview.com/rebuild.htm This guy had a slow coolant leak and you can see what happend. But sorry to hear that man. Best of luck on finding what has gone wrong.
  18. are you able to post a pic of both plugs and have you checked your coolant to see if the level has changed?
  19. why dont you get the 4mil and have someone on here port your jugs for you and then gear it and ride the shit out of it? Oh ya and save money buy switching to geico
  20. here is a how to on Youtube on sync the carbs. I was doing what you are doing now and i just broke down and got a vw carb sync off ebay for $30.00 shipped. here is the tool im talking about http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Carb-Sync-A...emZ190214862784 and the youtube how..pt1 and pt2
  21. umm couldnt tell you but i have the elka dunes on my raptor and i coundt believe i waited so long to get them. My brothers got the dual rait pro piggy backs from works and he loves them as well. so you cant go wrong with after market shocks. Are you putting them on the stock front end or do you have +2 arms? but after market shocks are night and day to the stockers
  22. im going to throw in the Fmf Fattys as well... I have them and love them. great all around pipe. but if your wanting top end with later on mods then look into the T5's I have heard nothing but great things about them. Im waiting to port my bike and see how it will do on the fattys' But trails and dunes it does well as of now. There is a big subject on pipes around here but you need to let the builers on here know what all you wanting to do and what mods you want to do to your bike so they can set you up for power and not having to keep changing things.
  23. what fuel oct and oil mix are you running? And when you pulled the rad cap, can you see the coolant moving? it also sounds like you might have a small leak in the head gasket if it is over pressing... the smallest hole will allow air in the cooling system under compression.
  24. Thats what i do before i can have my mom build me an outerwear...you got to love giving them something to do!!!!
  25. 01 was the only year raptor came with the remote rez. 02-05 its on the side and wont work. as of the yfz 450 rear wont work as well. Best bet to send it in and have it build to what your wanting it for. That way your getting something set up for the swinger and weight and rinding. Just my input
