  1. find one with a builder backing their product and with a good metal. I have the burgard +2+1's on my banshee and love them... As for what kind to pick from its mostly just find a great deal... And as for shocks they can make or break you. The elka dunes are the best thing on my raptor and the eat everything. I have a group i ride with at glamis and three of them have gotten the elka dunes because they are great. but really any after market shocks are better then stock. just make sure you get some with Compression Adj, Rebound Adj and Preload Adj for the min. I put the yfz shocks on my banshee because i got them new for $150. and im just going to send them to my shock rebuilder guy and have them revalve it for my riding. Other then that. just stay with any old +2+1 arms and you should be good. and when you get he arms look over the welds and if they look like ass send them back and get new ones. There are guys that like the race there bikes in a line and other that like the carve and throw them over hills and jumps. Everyone that has or riden a stock suspension banshee knows that you cant ride very long. So mostly just use the search button because there are alot of reviews out there.

    Lonestar Arms

get the racing ones. the sport are great for the rec users for just the duner and trail rider. but if you are going to be jumping alot, look at the reinforcements. as for where to find them cheap I havent a clue. I found some used ones off of ebay for my raptor and are the one best things i have one to that thing. I for one have put the burgard arms on my banshee and it makes one hell of a diff over the stock. i have better turning and the yfz shocks are great. they have held up to everything i can throw at them. Right now im looking for some +2 breaklines because they are a little on the floppy side and want to have them tied down. But just look back on some of the forums and read some of the reveiws. I for one will alows upgrade the suspension along with exhaust and intake before i start going into the motor. I would rather ride allday then get my ass kicked by the stock suspension.
  3. as of the full flight arms they are ok. as for the hemi joints i dont like them at all. they get shit in them and they dont shut the hell up. But i got a set of Alba's on my raptor and love them to no end. and i have Burgard on my banshee and my dad has them on his raptor and they are great. I have jumped the shit out of my Albas and Burgards and they have no show of wear at all.. As of shocks. they make the trans of night and day. I have elka dunes on my raptor and i couldnt ask for anything better. they take everything i throw at them. My brothers got the Works Pro Series Piggyback With Triple-Rate Springs and he just got them rebuild and revalved for the dunes and he loves them as well but donesnt like his hemi joints but loves the A-arms. I put the yfz 450 shocks on my banshee because i got them new from a guy i know for $100 so i couldnt kick the can on that one. But it all depends on what you want to do with your bike. I would say just save your money and get the Adj. shocks because then you will be happy when your taken corners and fine tuning your shocks for the bumps and jumps or what every your doing. And look into a steering stabilizer. I wont ride a bike without one now. You can ride longer and you dont get the arm pump for when you hit rocks and other fun stuff that can take your bars out of your hands. When you get +1+2 arms you might have to get after market break lines. I put some braided break lines and I dont have any give or play in my breaks from the stocks rubber lines expanding.
  4. http://dunereview.com/Modifications.htm This is one that im looking into doing for the shee so its right there and out of the way and readable
  5. The sad thing is that most of the pics he has are from people riding the banshee for what is made for. GO BIG OR GO HOME... But he is prob mad because he cant get his weedwaker to run right so he never got a banshee and only got a 4 stroke. and now he is only seeing the ass end of a banshee and smelling the sweet smell of 2 stroke in the morning. But oh well, its like trying to tell a muslim that pork is good for you and cows are the greatest meat from GOD.
  6. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku This is how much a compression test is.. $20.00. They are cheap and you can use them on almost anything. its a great tool to have. there are ways to test for compression but your going to run into everyone saying how to do it. This is how I do compression testing. Worm up the bike if you can. Turn off the Gas pull a plug and put your test in and hold the throttle open and start kicking tell the gauge doesnt read any high. As of i dont have a clue on what your compression should be so there should be a builder that should chim in to help you out on this one... And if im wrong on the compression testing just let me know and ill be happy to change my ways if im doing it wrong. Thanks everyone for all your help on my bike as well... I just cant wait for dune season at Glamis to start
  7. Someone needs to make a (pinned) on pipes from like 1-10 (1) being low range pipes and (10) being the full out racing drag top end pipes... Any builder wanting to put the pipes in order for everyone?
  8. +1 have them on both my banshee and raptor
  9. any after market pipe will wake up the stock banshee. it just all depends on what kind of riding you do. Thats why everyone asks what you are using your banshee for because each pipe is made diff for diff rides. I put the Fattys on mine and love them.
  10. I had a surgery done after I popped my shoulder out on a house search in Iraq and had it popped back in for the rest of the deployment. well after the surg. i have 5 screws and im still due to get another when i get out. but ya man i know what the feeling is like not having anything in your hand and you fall off and everyone is like what the hell. so i ride when i can full out tell i cant anymore for the day and then ride the rhino (beer wagon) for the rest. So i say move out to Az and ride when you can and keep it safe. No more super mans !!! But as of the docs. watch out and do reseach. Thats where i got messed up on. from what i know now i would have been better off waiting 2 more months in pain from what i have left with my shoulder. i cant even throw a ball anymore and im only 23. But you live you learn. I just want to throw a thanks to all for all the great help everyone has been on here and for everyone to have a safe holidays coming up, and the best of luck to all
  11. you might want to jump your pilets up 27.5's
  12. Hey everyone thanks for the great input. I guess ill just get the tors kit and call it good. anyone know of a good all in one kit from who to buy from?
  13. ok here is what i need some info on. I still have the Tors on my carbs. So the Kits is around $50 and a new set of 30mm OKO is like $200 shipped. Should i stay with the stocks or move up to the 30mm. I have fmf fattys. pod filters. noss head with 20cc tail port. +4 timing. I ride a lot of fast trails and the hell out of the dunes with the daily ride to the drags and back. I want to keep it dunalbe but have that one time of drags for fun. Would I be better off trying to find some 28mm OKO's? I just want to leave room for later upgreades to like a 4mil cub when this motor has its time to retire. And just a thanks to All for all the great reading and help of others probs and tips to help
  14. how much does it cost to do a rebuild on a Vito's 4+mil crank. I found one for $75.00 so is this a good buy?
  15. Got the Burgard Arms +2+1 with the yfz450 shocks and what one hell of a diff over stock...My truning is alot better. the right is so much better in taking jumps and hiting the whoops. not bad for buying off Ebay for 200.00 but need to add some +2's break lines. But the only down side was that i had to get my spindals needed to be reamed. cost was like $8.00 for the guy to cut them. I dont rememeber what Deg. was needed tho... But other then that the finish was great and looks like they can take some fun dune launching
  16. Check your floats when you tear them down and if i remember you said that it was leaking out one of the carbs over flow? Might need to do a rebuild on one of them or an air leak.
