  1. ask your self why the person sold them. and if you can I would love to see the old pistons that ran in that thing!!! If you dont want to run them... Throw them up on ebay and get some money out of them and then get a cub that is already cut for 4mil. Just my .02. You got to love ebay. because someone will always buy
  2. what are you running for an intake filter? If you are riding in mud then I would say deff keep the lid on but you can drill the botttom of the lid to help flow more air down onto the filter. But if not and want to keep the box I would say add a K&N with outerwear and they do make the outerwear lid cover which keeps a lot of stuff out.
  3. Just what i was looking for...Thanks everyone for the input. im sure when my puller comes ill be asking more ?'s as time comes when im ready to cut...
  4. A pic on a mod stock plate that has been cut for up to +4 deg's
  5. I know there is a how to mod the stock one on to get +4 on it. I was just looking for a pic of the mod plate
  6. I have been searching for over two hours on trying to a pic on a mod timing plate to move it to +4... I have the Idea in my brain and just wanted to see what someone else has done. Thanks
  7. well i got the fmf fattys with KN pods on and no port work. down here at about 1000ft above sea and i have 25p's and 300m's and ran like hell at glamis this past weekend. It is kind of hard to tell because you say you have holes in your box but we really dont know how big they are. So I would have to say that the 300's would be a great starting point. I also got 270's 280's 290's 300's 310's and 320's from a guy on ebay for under $30 shipped. and then just do some plug chops. And as i hear that the +4 timing is a great add on. and there is a how to on here for how to mod the stock.
  8. the only raptor year that will fit is the 01. from there on fromt he 02-05 the shock rez is off to the side and will hit. Im one just for sending in the stock shock and getting it built for what you need it for. they are already great. If you really want to up grade go to the elka with link and then there you go. but be ready to pull out some $$$ for that set up...
  9. Yup them are stockers from what i can see. I just got done rebuilding mine last weekend. If you have a micrometer you can mic the inside of the carbs. That is the ture way of seeing before you get your foot all dirty
  10. well im in the same boat... I was running olds in the top of 3rd and wanted to go to 4th but just didnt work out so i had to just ride 3rd to the top... but I did the 1 less tooth up front on the raptor and it made it a new quad. so the 1 less tooth for the banshee is on order now...
  11. Well got some jets and took the banshee out to Glamis this weekend...I started with the 310's and ended up dropn down to 300's The damn thing has never ran so great!!!! I couldnt believe that just a head and K&N pods would make. The only other bike out there that could pull by me on the olds hill was a ported and a milled banshee. But for now it runs like a champ and will wait for summer to Port the jugs. Thanks for all the Help
  12. you could always go with a +2 arm and get and off set wheel. Thats what i do for the dunes
  13. Read up on the plug chop. but im at 1500 feel and just ordered 10 jets off ebay for 25.00 shipped. I had 310's but need to do a plug chop and go from there. as for the pilot jet. i have the 25 and was going to jump up to the 27.5's but it already runs great down low and mid. but have to find the top and see if im rich or not. But best of luck.
  14. yes i was very happy with the add on of the yfz shocks over the stockers because i stopped bottoming out. Then I added the +2+1 arms on them and it made it even better. They should have came this why from the factory!!!
  15. nope didnt have any time and didnt have any plugs on hand. ill have to get some plugs and more jets and start the chop'n. and thanks for the FYI on the flywheel puller from RMATV
  16. well i got the burgard +2+1 arms and the stock 450 shocks, work great. the only thing is that it sits high but it works for me that way. I have the preload backed all the way down but I love the way it rides as is. so if you have the shocks just try them and go from there. You can always get the dual rate set up from works for the yfz shocks, but they are a little $$$. so your best bet would to be to just get the full aftermarket shocks. i would go with elka but everyone has their taste. I have riden both and i will take the elka anyday over works.
  17. they are easy if they are aftermarket. Just relieve the springs with the compression ring up top so that you can remove the C clip holder on the bottom. Before you do that take measurements of how far the preload ring is down on both ends. that way when your ready to reup on the shocks you can have them the way you had them. Other then that its easy and just take your time.
  18. well i got some 310 mains in it with 25's runs great but flat up top. didnt have time to really do anything but just try it down the street. do you think the 27.5 will help and with it being flat up top...going up or down on the mains. Thanks...
  19. here is a quick ? for ya...do you have the tors still on? because it is alot easier to get the kit and jet after that!!!
  20. Just an FYI... most boosters wont add full points to the oct. they mostly just add around 0.3. so look into that as well. mostly alot of people are doing a 50/50 mix of race and prem fuel. so if you want to ride the streets and stop to fill up you might want to keep the compression down. and when you want to ride the track get some smaller domes for the track and run race gas. And Noss heads are the shit. I love mine and very happy that i went with him... I liked the fact that I didnt have to change the stock studs out.
  21. true. i was thinking i was going to be around 150 psi and kicked out 115 on each and now i need a new top end. but it all looked good when i was in there. but i know what your talking about for oct at the gas stations. when i lived up in wyoming the oct was at 93 and moved to az and its 91. moved out east and it was back to 93 in Ky and Tn. but just moved back to Az and we can get 100 oct at the gas station on unionhills and cavecreek for $8gal. but we started to buy the 5 gal 110 oct and mix it with 5 gal of 91 and it gives you 10 gal of 100 oct. and the oct boosters only are good for like .3 not 3 points. but best of luck and i looked into av gas but it will lead to a early build up of carbon. I always mix in some carb cleaner in my gas. so when ever i take down the carbs they are always very clean on the inside.
  22. Hey man keep up the good work and i understand on wanting better ball joints with addjustment
  23. got the burgart +2+1's off ebay for like around 200 shipped. I have the yfz450 shocks and i cant be happier. I added a +4 gforce axle and the thing rides on rails. it does sit high but i like it like that. I just us the front break to pull it down on corners and stay in the gas. as for addjustments, im happy!!! and lifetime!!!
  24. I have burgard on my banshee. Dad has burgard on his raptor. I have alba comps on my raptor and my brother has fullflights on his raptor. I can say that any after market arms will be great. I love my burgard arms and I got them off ebay for around 200.00 shipped. As for the alba's, I couldnt be happier!!! As for the fullflights on my brothers quad. they work great but when they get dust, dirt and sand in the joints; they will not stop squeaking!!! but they are a good arm. I would try to stay with a ball joint just for that fact. I dont like Hemi joints just for that fact and he as broken a bottom hemi which was not a fun time watching him and his bike endo and role from a turn. But best of luck!!!
