  1. Yeah, the bog is probably the wet filter. Neutral is hard to find, just have to get used to it. I use the same oil @ 32:1 and haven't had a problem yet.
  2. Stock stroke or 4mil?
  3. Did he blow it up trying to race against that fast honda of yours?
  4. Did you do a leakdown test after doing the top end? Did you sync the carbs? What are your mods? What mains are you using?
  5. They're ported...well somewhat. Looks as if he done the porting!
  6. Might as well do a 4mil kit. They're almost priced the same, a 4mil & stock stroke kit. Look into one the site sponsors. I prefer Kevin @ HJR. You won't regret it.
  7. Secondary test of the coil is from boot to boot, not like the manual says. Ohm the stator while you're at it.
  8. You may have a clogged pilot jet in the left carb. You did reconnect the choke tube between the carbs, right?
  9. Just unscrew the whole plug boot off of the plug wire
  10. It should work jus fine. Just one less spring your thumb has to compete with.
  11. I took the return spring out of my throttle housing. Give that a try
  12. I bent the clutch arm down on my motor and haven't had any problems yet.
  13. Wish I had a cub to worry about which pipes to run.....
  14. Sounds like a plugged pilot jet
  15. Did you test the key switch?
  16. Are the carbs synced?
  17. Did you check to see if you didn't switch the bowl that belongs on the left carb and put it on the right one?
  18. They're gapped. They're VF3s, if that make a difference.
  19. Well, i found my problem. I switched the reeds and the problem changed sides. Thought they were good but I guess I was wrong. Thanks
  20. Never thought about my exhaust may be plugged....i'll certainly check it. I checked the pickup gap and reeds and they appeared good. I'll check the exhaust and switch the reeds to see if its changes. Thanks
  21. i have a recently rebuilt motor and I'm having a problem with one of my cylinders not firing. The right fires perfect but the left fires every now and then. I switched the plug wires and the problem stayed on the left side. I switched carbs and checked the compression and everything is good. I checked the whole harness, ohmed the stator and coil. The stator was good as well as the primary on the coil. When I checked the secondary coil I get a reading of like 5.86 M ohms. I unscrew the boots off the wires and get a reading of 6100 ohms like the spec calls for. Could this be my problem? The right side rums perfect with either plug wire connected. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  22. I told him I would run him for however much he want to run for and he said "my bike ain't stock!" I told him mine wasn't either and I asked what all he had done to his bike and he said "I can't tell you all that...my bike don't run of dat 93 like everybody else, I use 115."
  23. I was listening to two guys talk about Banshees. When I heard Banshee, that drew my attention. One guy told told the other "People are always talking about porting and polishing a Banshee but they just don't know that its all in the bearings." Also heard him say that he made a Blaster fly by just changing the sprockets. I know I'm not the only one who have heard heard crazy stories like these.
  24. Nice bike! Sounds like it's time for a compression check and leakdown test.
