  1. You most likely have an air leak. Do you have a boost bottle and did you put new plugs in?
  2. You don't need a spacer plate. You can have your stock head modified. I went from stock to a HJR 4mil so I can't comment on the difference between it and only stock stroke ported cylinders. I was told the 4mil would give me a much broader powerband over just ported cylinder. I still use my stock carbs and 3 HD clutch springs. Give Kevin @ HJR a call and he can put you on the right path.
  3. Sync your carbs and step up to a 27.5 on the pilot jet.
  4. What he said.

  8. A HJR 4mil dune port. U will not be disappointed. Give Kevin a call, enough said.
  9. I got a 1 gallon jug from Wal-Mart.
  10. SAE 10w30 is ok, it's in the manual.
  11. Try 310s
  12. My point exactly.
  13. You mean run more oil and less gas to lean it out some, if that's what you were referring to.
  14. The type like the one in the middle is what you want. Use a 27.5 instead of a 40.
  15. Kevin should be able to put you spot-on with the jetting.
  16. Sounds like an air leak to me since you say you jus rebuilt it and that it was fine before.
  17. Price? When u say "loaded," what exactly do you mean? Thanks
  18. Another post to make me jealous because I'm still waiting to get my 4mil back from him.....
  19. I had a bad experience with him too. Bought a bumper from him
  20. Sounds like a clogged pilot jet. Take your carbs apart and clean them.
  21. I see that it's about time to retire this topic......
  22. I see that it's about time to retire this topic......
  23. Thanks for the correction. I meant to tell him the new pistons would be for the perfered 115 rod for longevity.
  24. If you change to a +4 crank then you will have to run a spacer plate or get new pistons for the added stroke. It would be best if you had your cylinders ported too to take advantage if you really would like to see a big gain in performance.
