  2. Just like the title says. Im looking to buy a few PS2 games online, where's the best place to buy em ??
  3. yes Shake was good, but Carl stays for a now. I hope to get atleast 50 soupies out this upcoming batch. They need to cure for atleast 9 months.
  4. Stomp I dont think you had a soupie. Soupies are flat, not round. Actually they are 3\4 inch thick and about 9 inches long. very thin casings. they have the consisticancy(sp) of pepperoni. They're good. I have a few to ship out right now.... I found a store selling them for $8 dollars a soupie. I havent tried em so I dont know if they're any good, but all soupie is good. We'll be making our batch next moth. late january. My stash is getting low, I have about 25 of em left from last years batch. Thats alot of soupie.
  5. I just drove 20 miles home from work in the storm. The roads are pretty bad here, lots of rolling hills here and some of these dips in the road are very slippery. Its snowing right now, pretty hard too. Im glad im home, 20 minutes later than usual tho. Id love to go for a ride on the banshee tonight but its 10 miles away at my parents house Tomorrow will be fun. No doubt. Wish I had a snomo banshee370, you gotta love the snow !! Get bundled up and walk the dog in the snow, or break out the banshee and do some snow covererd road riding...... at night !! Go deer hunting in the snow, you just got to love huntin' dem deer in the dat der snow !!! Get in your truck and go do some donuts in a snow covered parking lot, ya gotta do atleast 10 snow donuts per snow storm. Do you ski or snowboard, time to learn how. Snowboarding is almost, if not more fun than riding kwads.
  6. throttle overide system. Its a saftey feature that shuts down the engine if any of the carb slide gets stuck wide open. Laywers invention. I took mine off along time ago, so im not a tors expert by no means. Most guys remove em so they can put on a twist throttle. Most twist throttle kits come with a new throttle cable and two standard carb caps. You remove the tors devices on top of the carbs and replace em with these new standard style carb caps. Pop off your seat and look at the tops on your carburetors. Those broken screws your talking about adjust the idle. Turn the screws to raise or lower idle speed. So.... when you remove the TORS and replace em with standard carb caps, you lose the ability to adjust your idle. Thats where the "hole drillin" comes in. Tors removal kits and twist throttle kits come with a whole new way to adjust your idle, you drill a hole in both carbs, tap it, and install an idle screw...... Everyone gets a worried when they're told they have to drill and tap both of your carbs, but trust me, its real easy. 1 hour job max. All bits and taps come with the kits. once the tors are off the carbs, access to the carbs is a little easier. If your tors are working fine and those broken idle screws get unbroken, keep the tors on. especially if you use a thumb throttle. You can buy a TORS removal\idle kit and still use a thumb throttle, you dont have to convert to a twist throttle. wrong forum btw

  8. bloker, great post ...... LOL
  9. wtf is a losi xxx-nt ?
  10. IMO, the best Banshee GNCC rider is another neighbor of mine, Mike Lucas. Acutually he's not a close neighbor, but he's only about 20 miles down the road, but anyways....... Lucas placed 5th overall this year in the Open A class. He was the highest ranked Banshee rider racing GNCC this year. *I think* Kim Kuhnle(sp) raced a Banshee in the GNCC's for many a year, he was always the fastest Banshee guy out there. He switched to a Predator this year
  11. Ok buddy, lets look at some pictures. First of all, do you know where to find all the best Banshee pictures on the net ?? The Banshee Zone of course !! There's pictures of everything Banshee on the banshee zone somewhere amongst the pages . Ok, the shift linkage is what your looking for. This problem actually happens quite often, the shift linkage mates up with the shift star. On the shift star are little pins that the shift linkage uses to rotate the shift star. When the shift star rotates.... it changes what gear your transmission is in. 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear etc etc. The shift linkage is located at the end of your shift shaft. Your gear shift lever is attached to the shift shaft. Follow me so far ? When you move the shift lever with your toe, it moves the shift shaft, which moves the shift linkage and rotates the shift star, the rotating shift star, moves the internal parts(shift drum&forks) that change what gear your in. Ok..... so now that you have a basic understanding about how your transmission shifts through the gears, lets focus on the possible cause of your shifting troubles. What happens sometimes is the shift linkage pops off the shift star, or it gets jammed or what-have-you. Simply look at your shift linkage and compare it the pictures in this post. I always seem to have a hard time putting into words how the shift linkage is supposed to mate up to the shift star pins, so just look at the pictures and compare. Ok, so where's this shift linkage part you ask ?? Its found under the clutch cover on the right hand side of the engine. You'll need to remove your kickstarter, footpeg and coolant line. Gently wiggle off the clutch cover, there's a big ol' gasket under the cover and if your careful you can re-use this gasket. When you get the clutch cover off it should look something like this........ In this picture the clutch basket has been removed, you should see a big ol' clutch basket on your engine. Now find the shift shaft\linkage, its right under the kickstarter shaft. Here's a closup of what your looking for..... And here's a shot of the shift shaft with the shift linkage on the end, removed from the engine...... And finally here's the shift star with the shift linkage out of the way... Now im NOT gaurenteeing the shift linkage is your problem, but its a hellava lot easier to inspect than the shift forks. BTW, is your shift lever mounted onto the shift shaft securely ?
  12. Banshee's race in the "open" classes. Unfortunatly, Banshee's are not competitive XC machines anymore.
  13. GNCC is on again right now. go go borich !!!
  14. Kev, curious are you running the 8\7 plate clutch setup ?? BansheeBruce, there's a few options. The pancake bearing solution is the most common fix. Dynoedge.com, Grand River Racing and Vitos sells a kit. The ceramic ball is another option, but I dont know where to buy those. Boonman wrote: "It can also happen from too little oil in the case." Yea I beleive that also. Your supposed to put something like 1.7 quarts of oil in the case, but I put a full 2 quarts in her to help lube up that ball and shaft better. Oil gets inside the front gear cluster where the ball\shaft live, via hole on the stator side end of the gear clusters shaft. So if your oil level is just a tad higher, its better for the ball\shaft and there's no downfall to using 2 full quarts of oil.
  15. welcome to the BHQ 239banshee. TORS stands for throttle overide system, the TORS parts are found on the tops of each carb, on the left side of the quad, under the gastank there's a small electical box mounted on the frame and there is wiring at your thumb throttle. Its a safety device that shuts down the engine if the carb slides get stuck wide open. Guys remove the system for a few reasons...... they add clutter and make access to the carbs a little harder. The most common reason the TORS gets removed is because an aftermarket twist throttle gets installed. When you put a twist throttle on your Banshee, your tors wont work cause of the wiring that was in your thumb throttle, and the throttle cable will also be different. With the thumb throttle cable, the cable goes into the TORS boxes ontop of the carbs, when you convert to a twist throttle, the throttle cable attaches directly to the carb slides. So to use a twist throttle cable you remove the TORS ontop of the carbs and they get replaced with conventional style carb caps. f*ck that searchin for answers, I had the same TORS question once and the guys here on BHQ answered it for me. I hope I helped answer your question.
  16. Check out the pictures on these pages. My frame was braced up by the previous owner, I didnt do the bracing. The previous owner has been racing cross country for a few seasons, so he's got a good idea where and what to brace. well... just enjoy the pictures. http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/RZ-Shee-Frame.htm http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/...Black-Paint.htm
  17. its a S2 350cc 1971, cylinders and pistons are free, crank looks all gooped up, carbs look fine just need cleaned air box seems to be all there and exhaust pipes have no holes that I can see, everything needs to be cleaned.
  18. I used to own a few big pythons and a nice sized boa, I used plywood for the flooring of their cage. The cage I made was 14 foot long, 3 feet wide and about.... 4 foot tall. I hear what your sayin' about the reptiles being super sensitive to stuff, I really dont know the answer to your galvanized question, but I understand your concerns. Do you have to make this cage from metal..... have you thought about using plywood\wood to build it?
  19. The motor is not mine, its a freinds. Im trying to get more details and some pictures right now, Im waiting for his email reply to me. He told me it was a Kawasaki triple, 2 stroke, triple carbs, 1972 "S2" model, its air cooled and kickstarted. He said it is not running and the exhaust pipes look brand new. I figured someone here might be interested. Iv seen these triples stuffed in a Banshee frame before, I hear they're badass too. I'll get more details soon.
  20. I agree %100
  21. BCK I just wanna know.... how fast is a mission Banshee compared to a mission Raptor compared to a crf450 mission customized ?
  22. sup doods, I have access to one early 70's Kawasaki 2 stroke triple cylinder motor. Anyone interested in this beast ? I hear they make one hellava sand shooter
  23. The shift forks are buried deep within the engine cases. Id check out the shifter linkage first, its found on the clutch side of the engine. Drain the oil and antifreeze and take of the clutch cover. The shift linkage is down low and towards the rear of the engine. Find the shift shaft, its the long shaft that your shift lever bolts to, the shift shaft goes through the engine case and comes out on the clutch side of the engine, at the end of this shift shaft is your shift linkage. Refer to a shop manual to inspect your shift linkage. If the linkage checks out ok, then you could be looking at bent forks. Replacing bent shift forks is prolly the most labor intensive job you can do, like I said, they are inside your case, so you'll need to pull the engine out of the frame and split the case. Not hard, just time consuming.
