id say the Dyna boxes are the most popular replacement, there's a few guys here using them. Some guys like the MSD ignition. Do a search on those 2 names. The Dyna cdi comes preprogramed with 4 different ignition curves or you can buy a programmable one and have a custom ignition map setup for your motor mods. You can wire up the Dyna so you can flip a switch on your handlebars and you can switch bewteen 2 of the 4 ignition curves. pretty cool.

banshee0044 you cant use Raptor spindles on your banshee. Someone should make and sell billet banshee spindles. Frocash, the only improvement I see with aftermarket spindles is the lighter wieght billet alum. Raptor, 400ex, all cannondales, yfz450, that new honda 450 and maybe the suzuki Z's and kfx's\dvx's all use billet aluminum spindles. 250r racers, swap out their stock steel spindles with billet 400ex ones, they then use an adaptor so they can still use the better 250r front brake calipers.

well i dont think the kickstarter has anything to do with the backfiring. Check the pinch bolt on the kickstarter and if thats not loose, its prolly the kicker mechanism inside the clutch case. BTW I see what your saying about those tranny bearings facing outside the case. Im 99.9% sure they were turned around when I put the motor back together. Those bearings are the ones on the front gear cluster. good eye.

Hey guys I tired modding my Rz's shift star on the belt sander at work. I didnt grind the lobes down as far as boon's and Bd. I made sure I got all the the lobes the same size, the star looks great and symetrical, its just that I didnt grind the lobes down as far. Do you see me having any problems ? I havent used it yet of course. I can post a pic later. Well its later and here's that pic of the star i ground down.

Heres a fuzzy pic of a modded star compared to a stock one.

I have one made by AlloySpecialties. I dont use loc-tite, just tighten up the 2 allen pinch bolts. I rode all spring, summer and fall with it and I needed to tighten it twice. I would get loose just enuf that my sprocket hub could move back and forth, id tighten up the axle nut and it would be good for 3 more months. It hasnt come loose since the last time I tighten it, about 2 months ago. Dan from AS used to post here, but I havent seen him in along time.

Four-eyes !!! welcome to the club, iv had em since 6th or 7th grade. My eyes are pretty bad, I cant do anything without my glasses, there's no way I could ride my Banshee, I could drive a car if I had too, but that would be a bad idea. I would love to have corrective surgery. Its called "lasic" surgery, and I prolly spelled lasic wrong. The surgery is getting cheaper, but thats not whats holding me back. Im a chicken. The surgury is done with a laser that zaps your eye, and that doesnt freak me out, what I dont like is they have to cut a "flap" on your cornea, they then fold this eye flap back and then commence to the laser zapping. Once they finish with the laser they lay the flap back down on your eyeball and your done. The flap cut freaks me out. HAS ANYONE HERE HAD THE LASIC EYE SURGURY ????????

yea turn the two collars down the shock a few turns, that should help and turn your compression knob to the stiffest setting. There is a limit to how far those preload collars should go down to.... but I dont know it. Is the shock real bouncy or pogo sticky, gonna eject you off the seat kinda feel to it ? I rode with a rear shock that was blown, its pretty dangerous, not fun.

Did you get em installed yet ? howzit running ? pro-flo have a website ? Whats the average price for a set of 28pwks ??? I hear they great little carbs, and perfect when you bore em to 29.5

I was using 20 inch turf tamers for most of last summer. 20 inch rears are my favorite size. I tore a big gash in one turf tamer so now Im running 22 inch Razrs on 9 inch douglas red labels. the razrs are big and heavy, but give alot more ground clearance. Iv had em on for the past 3 months and have em worn 3\4 of the way allready. I liked the turf tamer setup better. For front im using 21x7x10 holeshots. next front tires I buy will be 22's or maybe i'll even try a 23 inch front. I ran 22 inch fast trekker fronts allready and I like the taller front tire for where I ride.
