  1. Thanks for the replies, alot of good info posted. I dont think the chriopractor would help, when I think chriopractor, I think "misalignment" or "pinched disc or nerve", I dont think they can help guys with arthritis. I should start taking better care of myself, exercise more.
  2. Anyone here have problems with thier back ? Nearly 15 years ago I broke the bottom 7 vertabrea' in my back. Lumbar area. Cracked a few and crushed the corners on some of em, I had to wear a fiberglass cast from my waste to my neck for 4 months. Everything healed up and iv been perfectly fine for years. About 3 years ago, I noticed that whenever it would rain for a few days in a row, my lower back would ache\get stiff. The past year or so, it seems to be getting worse. Iv been awake all night long tonight, because my back aches. Im getting worried, and im thinking about going to see a doctor soon. I really cant afford medical bills, and im sure its just the arthritis setting in, like the docs told me it would. Just curious if anyone else here feels my pain, and has experience with arthritis(sp) ?? Do you think I should go to the doctors, or am I wasting my time ?? I have a freind who fucked up his back wrestling in high school, after 3 major back operations, fused vertabreas' a plate and some screws, he's on disability and always has pain. BTW, im only 31.
  3. How are the O-rings a hassle ?? You smear some grease in the grooves in the head, you place the O-rings in the greased grooves, you install head. Iv had my Noss head for about 3 years now and iv blown one dome O-ring.
  4. try one of the forum sponsors, im sure they have em. Janssen Racing Magic Racing
  5. damn, glad your ok. bummer about the stem. Good luck, contact LoneStar and let us know what happens. Oh, get some pictures if you can.......
  6. Oily, get yerself one of them EZ-pull clutch levers. They work great.
  7. Oooo thats never a good reply. Reed spacers will increase the crankcase volume. Increased crankcase volume will cause a "mellower" powerband hit. Do you want a mellower powerband ? I wouldnt say you lose any HP, it just smooths out the powerband hit. Some guys use the spacers when they're running aftermarket carbs, on some aftmkt carbs the float bowl on the one carb will not clear the little clutch arm that sits under the carb, the reed spacers move the carbs back, clearing the clutch arm. The real question is....... is "mellower" a real word ??
  8. Is this what your looking for ?? The chain slider is made by Cascade.
  9. BFH I guess.
  10. Are you sayin that your running the stock jets ?!!!?? If not, whatcha runnin ?? Banchetta wrote: Man if he's lean...... I dont know about doin' a WOT hot kill in 30 degree weather. Id like to hear what jet sizes he's got in there first. Iv heard that synthetic oils like Amsoil makes plug reading difficult, iv always been a seat-O'da-pants kinda jetting guy. Go big on the mains till it bogs then drop sizes till she's pulling 6th. Holyman, report back with your jet sizes.
  11. Matt, put two brand new spark plugs in er and make sure they're gapped between .028 and .031, also make sure the little screw on caps ontop of the plugs are screwed on tight. See if this fixes your problem. If not, rip off the carbs and clean em up, inspect the jets making sure they're tight. Dont strip em tho, they're brass and strip easily. It might be a good idea to check your reeds while you have the carbs off.
  12. I know that Elka does em, and id bet just about every other major shock company can do em too. Get on the phone and start askin' around. Post any info you find out.
  13. I dont think there's any physical difference between brands, just shop based on price.
  14. this IS the roostin' room. Let the opinions fly and down with censorship.
  15. See if this helps.... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19520
  16. drain the float bowl and put 2 brand new plugs in it.
  17. yes you'll need "big bore" domes
  18. yea I heard shock problems too but the date I heard was the end of January.
  19. Iv always been a big TurfTamer fan. Most of the XC racers are running the new Maxxis Razr 2's. XC racing is basically racing on the trails, through mud, hillclimbs, small jumps etc etc..... I cant wait to try the Razr 2's, I have a set of Razr's on now and they're a great tire, the tread is nice and soft so they hook up real nice. They wear faster cause they are a soft compound, but when your riding a Banshee, hookin up is far more important than wearing out tires quickly. I think those Realtors are ugly as hell, they look really heavy too. Good tire for a 4x4 maybe, but not a sport bike. Running them in the snow is a good idea tho....
  20. The story with the GasGas is not the wide front end, its the factory caster setting. They are street legal in Spain\Europe so they layed the caster back pretty good. This makes it stable at high road speeds, but quick handling is diminished. The Ohlins shocks are also valved all wrong, the extreme caster and goofed up front shocks make the quad handle like a turd. All the mags say the 300 2 stroke is great little engine, the focker is powervalved to boot. They come with a full chomoly frame...... yes... chrooooomoly frame, dual piston front and rear brake calipers, honda style axle carrier, nerf bars, and an FMF pipe. I like to have one if they ever dial-in the front end. I like the idea of a modern 300cc powervalve motor in a chromoly frame. Here's a picture of a 300cc GasGas I took at the Rausch Creek GNCC
  21. Rascal Scooters blow, get a Hoveround. Check out that sweet basket and chrome front bumper
  22. comin' back on at 1am est, thats 15 minutes kiddies. I'll cyas later, im going to watch GNCC !!!
  23. happy birfday fixitrod, pop an extra Gerital for me
  24. You'll need those dual blaster cranks welded together and re-squished
  25. I thought you were "outta here" cause the "forum is going to hell". well to answer your question, all you'll need to do is mod your engine cases to run dual Blaster crankshafts.
