  1. Dont listen to those guys, they're just f-in with ya Havok. The evolution powerbands replace your stock powerbands, they're alot better because they are ported, adjustable and oil cooled. You'll need to split the cases to swap em out. I'll sell ya an extra set I have.
  2. jgbailey57, does the Armadillo skidplate cover the rear shock linkage ??
  3. Hey ron is that your skid plate ?? If so, how do you like it.
  4. hmmm the Armadillo one might be good cause its .250 thick. Only one who voted for the stainless steel one was me I dont think I want to buy another AC one either. I might go with the PRM one, it has the most votes too. Iv cracked that damn shock linkage 100 times allready, but one of these times its gonna break. wicked iv bent alot parts  I could re-bend my AC back into shape but I dont want too, its time for a new skidplate. I hit a half buried rock with the skidplate moving pretty fast, it hit hard. I stopped right away and I could see the skidplate hanging, I broke off the 2 mounting bolts on the one side of the skid and bent the hell outta the mounts. I banged it back into shape with a big fuggin rock I found along the trail and used a wire tie to hold up the side with the missing bolts. It seems everytime I go riding, I break something. Im just about done riding this season soon. I bent my axle recently too, Iv got a new LSR axle coming tho, I cant wait to get it.
  5. im lookin to buy a new swingarm skidplate and need some advice. I was using an AC skidplate but I mangled it all up the other day. Its removed now and its fixable, but Id still like to buy a new one. Im considering one of those heavier stainless steel ones, but im not sure who makes them. If anyone has one of these stainless steel swingarms skids id like to hear about it. Id sacrifice some weight for protection. Which skidplates cover the shock linkage. I know PRM does, do any other brands ? I seen some skid are .190 thick and others are .250
  6. Here a nice RZ motor on ebay, 850 bucks http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...1871510136&rd=1 Here's the RZ shift fork auction I won. The forks are great, they are definitly RZ forks, they have the rollers on um. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...1866433964&rd=1 Here some new content on my website i worked on tonight, its my RZ motor im building. http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/...Motor-Juggs.htm
  7. I just picked up a set of RZ shift forks on Ebay for my RZ-shee project.
  8. whoa BEL1AL are those yours(in yur avitar)? Stan I luv your new avitar... LOL
  9. did ya see this one go through the other day. sold for $1200ish http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...1868913482&rd=1 I'll have to add up what Iv got into my RZ motor so far.
  10. yea I read through all 20 threads on Team Dunes and didnt see YFS masters name once. Whats up wit that YFS, what name do you use there ??
  11. I hope to use RZ cases. I want a tach and a nuetral light indicator.
  12. Why couldnt I use an RZ tranny and just gear it down with simple sprocket changes. Is the RZ gear spacing that bad for off roading? I could run a 13 tooth front sprocket and fine tune it by changin the rear sprocket tooth count. Whats up with the dogs on the 2 trannys, are they the same, some one said 3 dogs on the Banshee, 6 on the RZ gears. Whats the story with the "dogs" I could probably score an RZ tranny for about half the price of a Banshee's. Plus it would be another true "RZ" part on the quad.
  13. I use a pair of Scotts 87's. Iv had em for about 10 years now, the foam is amost all gone and the lens is getting pretty scratched. I have a tinted lens I use also. Does anyone use those "Quick Strap" setups? I use the Roko quick strap with my goggles and it kicks ass. The goggle strap is replaced with 2 short straps, once side is attached to your helmet and the other side attaches with velcro. Its slick. If id get a new pair, which I should have 8 years ago, Id get those Pro-Grip ones. The ones that have the light sensitive lens that change tint. I voted Pro Grip.
  14. BC and rzbanshee have the best idea, but I think the mixed tranny is not worth the trouble. If I had more money in the goddam bank I would try this mixed trans. Im surprised that the poll results are telling me to use the RZ tranny. Iv been leaning towards the Banshee's transmission from day one, because I feel the Banshee's transmission was designed for off roading and lower speeds and the RZ's tranny was designed for the highway+higher speeds. I dont want my quad doing 80mph, I dont have the room to do 80 mph. Quick.... err balony..... I am not forgetting anything, I just want to build this engine with the best transmission option, this thread is to help me make an edgeamukkated decision. The only reason Im considering using an RZ transmssion is because I wanted to use as many RZ parts and I can, but im flexible and wouldnt mind using a banshee's tranny. rzcolobanshee I got your email, unfortunatly I dont have Excel on my 'puter. I'll eventually get "excel" I have your chart saved on my HD. Thanks....... Ever see the yellow and black RZ's???? I plan on using yellow plastics with a black frame and a black seat to mimic the RZ bike. Maybe I could find some "kenny roberts" decals to stick on it !!
  15. Found this. RZ gear ratios. 1st 17.36 2nd 12.00 3rd 8.90 4th 7.31 5th 6.49 6th 6.00 My RZ streetbike shifts really nice and I dont have any problems with shifting it. My Banshee has one of those modded shift stars and I dont have any tranny problems except missing a gear once and a while. I'll definently be using RZ forks. B370 knows all about that. Its ALOT easier to find neutral with the RZ. My Banshee can be a bitch to find neutral, the RZ clicks right in, everytime. quick, no, yes and your frame is prolly too expensive for me. You recommened using the Banshee tranny...... very interesting. rzbanshee, I hear what your sayin'. Please tell me everything you know about this and other RZ questions. I'll keep the RZ shee question coming. Badassshee, has a great point. "if you want a RZ banshee then you better have a RZ tranny." rzcolobanshee email me that gear comparison chart please. [email protected] That would be a very big help. FATBANSHEE my RZ has a 17 tooth sprocket too. The damn bike will do 120 mph and cruz right along at 80mph all day long. I think a 15 toother is a good idea  bansheerabbit. I was told that you could use either a banshee or RZ cases with the RZ juggs, I recently heard that you must use RZ cases with the RZ juggs, something about the water jacketspassages dont line up when using RZ juggs with Banshee cases. understand what Im tryin to say ? ever hear anything like this ??
  16. Im building an RZ-Shee from the ground up. I need purchase a transmission and im not sure whether I should use an RZ tranny or a Banshee transmission. Does anybody know the gear ratio differences and other differences between the 2 trannys. The gearing seems alot taller on my RZ bike, I realize there's a 16 or 17 tooth front sprocket on my RZ and that will make it feel geared taller, but I think the actual RZ tranny gears are geared for higher speeds and I dont know if Id like a higher geared tranny in a Banshee. Id like to use as many RZ parts as possible. I will be using an RZ's shift forks and drum and most likely RZ cases too.
  17. just thought id throw up a pic or 2 of the RZ juggs.
  18. thanks for all the advice. Id like to see more votes and hear some more opinions on this as im still undecided  . One one hand, I have these almost-virgin RZ juggs and it would be cool to leave em stock just so I can feel em' out, and the next rebuild have them ported. If Id leave them stock now, once I eventually do have them ported I would appreciate the porting work more....... but on the other hand I know i'll want more HP and it could be a long time before the juggs are off again. Can anyone else sway me in either direction? Any other reasons why I should or shouldnt ? BTW, im going to build my RZ-Shee this winter and I'll prolly have a few more of these "poll/threads". Quick....er balony....... Bill tole me once that he picked up alot from some RZ roadracing guys he knows, or knew or something. Do you know if Bill is still porting cylinders, I think he's very busy with his school work. Id give him my business again, cause my past porting "transaction" with Bill was great, everything from email support from Bill, to the seat of the pants kick ass powercurve he ground up for me. He did alot of extra work for me because of the resleeving, he arranged for his machinest to install the new sleeves and did alot of work buildingtransforming my transfers. Do the big name Banshee engine builders port RZ juggs ?? For example im thinking about Ohton, maybe Dave Moore, maybe FSTRNUGRR. I would also trust BackCountry with em. BC got any "hands-on" RZ porting experience 8) ?
  19. I have a set of stock bore, stock ported RZ 350 juggs. I cant decide if I should have them ported or not. What would you do ???
