  1. i got a local guy that's interested in them now. i'll get back to you if he passes them up.
  2. Both stock heads are in fine shape. No blow up damage or anything like that. The stock/bore port cylinders w/OEM pistons aren't in the worse shape. Pistons look great. Cylinder bores don't have gouges/scoring etc, but have wear at the bottom of the cylinder walls from the piston skirts, from simple usage. I would suggest boring .010" over to true the bore back up. Deck and bases of the cylinders are great.
  3. guys, make offers on all the parts: banshee: stock carbs w/good threads for carb caps stock head stock head shaved .030" stock airbox stock ported reed cages w/TDR carbon fiber reeds k&n filter (little beat up) stock bore/port cylinders w/oem pistons stock port cylinders bored .080" (will need to be bored to .090" over) yfz450: (2) stock rear swingarms stock muffler and mid-pipe studded full set of stock tires on stock rims stock front bumper stock foot pegs w/guards rear brake caliper
  4. guys, just make me an offer for the pipes. i need to start clearing out the attic.
  5. my quad sounded like that after i ported it and i had stock gearing w/20" tires. i now run 14/41 and it made the rpms actually drop between gear changes. i love this gear ratio. it could also be your clutch slipping.
  6. I have a used set of 3/8" drive SAE impact Snap-on sockets. They come on the metal rail and the sizes are, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, and 3/4. $70 shipped.
  7. If running stock carbs, that was enough main jet, so I would say that carb was starved of fuel. Maybe time to gut that gas cap and get a pingel dual outlet fuel valve?
  8. Like said above you should be eatin that 450. I have a '04 yfz450 w/ported head, HMF slip-on, uni filter w/no lid on air box and my banshee w/has nearly identical mods to yours will beat it. You have something wrong. For sure check carb sync.
  9. Check parking brake switch by clutch lever. Maybe bypass it??
  10. Personally I would stick w/OEM rods. Hot Rods are made in Taiwan. I always like sticking w/Japanese rods/bearings in my motors if I can help it.
  11. Damn that's nice! I always wanted to try/get a Tri-Z.
  12. Japenese OEM rods over the China made Wiseco rods for sure. Even Pro-X and Vesrah rods are decent, as they are Japan too.
  13. I'm doing fine. I'm located near Manitowoc.

  14. How the hell did you come up with, or get your transfers that low? 48.3mm I don't even think is possible, as the stock dimensions are 43mm from roof to cylinder deck.
  15. How do 2-strokes not have rev-limiters? Please explain.....
  16. Thanks for the info guys. Some interesting reading. Its too bad when two companies can't get along in the end, cause one of them gets greedier than the other and one of them or both of them end up closing their doors, cause of the lawsuits that start flying around. Good to know that they can build fast motors. I'm to assume that their machine work, crank repair, etc is decent too??
  17. i was searching for banshee parts on ebay and came accross a co mpany called "Superior Sleeve". anybody hear of them, or use them? are they any good? here is their website address: http://www.superiorsleeve.com/
  18. ah, look above. he already said $600 shipped.
  19. I have a good flywheel I'l sell if interested.
  20. haha. oh wow, i didn't even look at the date. i just started reading and thought it was a new topic. lol.
  21. thanks infamous for quick shipment and tracking number provided.
  22. IMO, the best/most accurate way is to find out what the UCCR (uncorrected compression ratio) is. You will need to find out the trapped volume (volume above the piston when at top dead center) and compare that cc volume reading to the volume above the piston when the piston is at bottom dead center. This will tell you exactly what's going on and the guessing game of what fuel to run is over.
