  1. I use an aftermarket because the stock one bent all to hell. Its cheap tubular steel that bends with just a slight breeze on it. Might as well not even have a bumper on their.
  2. I know where Tug Hill is. They used to have a cross country invitational there every year. Sorry to hear about your loss of a good friend.
  3. Welcome to the major league! Lots to learn here and a pretty good crowd with the knowledge.
  4. All I gotta do is synch my carbs but they are close as they are. looking forward to the first ride of the year!
  5. You are better off with those Rads. Nice find.
  6. This is how you kill us off. Make it impossible to hand down the thing which drives us to our children. They want us gone so they can save the earth. What a bunch of bullshit this is.
  7. A theenk we al b benifittin fom goot spilling n post b easir to reed.
  8. This is why I get pissed when a numbnuts says "Its just a dog".....no way man. They are family and they are at times treat us better than people do. Sorry for your loss.
  9. Lots of chrome and polish. 5K is about right for it. Nice machine.
  10. I thought all the SE models had super secret formula pistons and bearings?
  11. Elevation 800 ft. Biggest difference is mid to top range. It actually wheelied though the first launch which is always good except when you don't expect it. No spacers, they don't have the drain bolt underneath like the Keihins.
  12. Actually tuned them pretty good. Jetted them with 270s (from the dyno jet kit) used their needles and put them on position 2 and am using 25 pilots instead of the 30s that were in them. (jetted for with the lid on) It rips now pretty good. I'll get pics soon I just didn't want to be outside anymore as its chilly out. Its no hype, 28s when jetted right wake that thing right up to where it should be. The 26s are going in the trash. Or on Ebay.
  13. One weekend at Unadilla some years ago the PV on my CR crapped out. The old style pvs was a slotted barrel that was suspended on a spindle and held into place with a bearing on each end and one of the bearings went bad. We just wedged it open and raced the whole event like that. It only messed me up at low RPMs. It had no affect at WFO so it didn't matter. The PV system is designed to give you low end and pretty much nothing else.
  14. This thread is now becoming:
  15. It will fit but not much else will....
  16. Uh Oh.....its turned into a:
  17. For stock parts..................... WholeSaler Motorcycle and ATV parts
  18. Uh Oh......a broad with a Banshee is now a member here.
  19. Dammit.....I didn't get to see it. Craigslist deleted that sucker.
  20. This might just have been mine, but when I put on the Pro Circuits and removed the lid, the stock needles on the middle setting with 260s smoked bad and you couldn't even choke it or it would flood. I had to get the needles and I followed the instructions to the letter and the problem was fixed. Mine needed fatter needles and less taper. The stock needles have a sharp taper to them and the only way I could get mine to idle was put the needle on the first setting and then it leaned way out at half throttle. I live 800 ft above sea level. My jet settings are now 270 with the lid on needle at middle setting on the Dyno Jet needles and 25 pilots turned to 2 and a half turns out. With the lid off I run 300s with the needle at the middle setting and 27.5 pilots and turned the air screw 1 and a half turns out. If you call the tech line at Pro Circuit, Boyesen, Yamaha, and my numerous other sources they all say the Stock needles should work. They never did.
  21. I think its a steal, but the only thing is on something that nice is I would be afraid of getting it muddy if caught out in the rain while riding. That thing is gorgeous.
  22. I am switching to the Klotz because the bottle looks cool and people might think I know what I am doing if I use that to mix my fuel.
  23. Actually a friend of mine has the clear ones for each line after the split and it works just fine, but like its been said, it is too restrictive if you put it before the "T" on the fuel line circuit. So buy two and put them on after the T and you'll be okay. I just can't see spending that kind of money though, but bad dirty fuel can be a nightmare I know.
  24. That thing would be awesome to take trail riding!!!
  25. I'll be parked down by the concessions area unless we have a designated parking spot.
