  1. OK, I think I am just S O L. I tried what you said, but it just keeps catching. I spin the gears and sometimes it will go to the next gear then catch again. I tried it about 8 times, it just won't shift through all the gears!
  2. OK thanks, I will give that a try, but if it works I still worry about it have the problem again when I get it all back together!
  3. Yes, I agree. Never get anything sent to Canada by UPS, they are a rip off, and you have to be home to receive your package, so they can charge you there fees. USPS is the best way to go!
  4. Ok I am wondering if there are any places to buy new Banshee parts on the web, that have good working websights. I have tried (sandtoys unlimited), (rockymountain atv), (motion pro), these sight don't show much of anything banshee realated. I tried (alba action), it shows a bit but I cant find most of what I need! Anyone know a good sight where I can find ---- sift forks, shift drum, timing plate, shift cam, a moded shift star, tors removal kit, chain+sprokets, brake pads, and a piston kit all at the same sight!
  5. Ok, I wish I could help you, but I have the same problem with my banshee and I still haven't found the problem yet! The shift forks look good, but I might change them anyways. I also noticed the shift drum has a bit of where on the top part of the groves, can't tell if the pin on the shift fork is catching on that, I might change the drum as well. If you find out the problem first let me know on this post. Thanks! Oh ya, as for the c clips, I thought I lost some when I had the shop split my case, but I am pretty sure they only use one in each grove!
  6. My banshee was backfireing a bit, will +4 timeing help that problem? Also I have my engine tore down to nothing, so I figure I should bore it and go with 2mm larger pistons, would it be an advantage for this as well? And when I put in the larger pistons am I going to have to rejet and change the neadles?
  7. I would like to know the answers to the same ?'s listed above. How does the shift shaft help? How hard would it be to modify my own shift star?
  8. Ok, I split the case and checked everything out, I don't see any problems with anything. All the gears move on the shaft like they should, the shift forks and the shafts look strait. Do you think I should change the shift forks anyway, I don't want to spend much if I don't have to? Is there anything else it might be? I just got my Clymer manual in the mail yesterday, so it should help me put my engine back together at least.
  9. Does this video cover rebuilding the bottom end, (spliting the case, checking for problems)? If it does I will donate to the cause!
  10. Ok, I finally have some spare time to work on me banshee, I have been to busy building my house the last year, and had on time for her, now I miss her! So far I have my engine pulled out, and have it tore down to the case, I need a puller for the magneto fist before I can split it open. I was wondering is there anything else I need to know about before I split the case? I have never done this before. I haven't found any problems yet, so it is probably the shift forks caseing the shifting problem. Are they hard to change once I get in there, and should I change anythig else while I have it split open. I was thinking I should change all the seals, and put a moded shift star on it to help it shif smoother. I can never find nuetral with my foot either, will the shift star help with that as well? Thanks for any info guys!
  11. I took my cable off, an took a disk grinder to the part on my handle bars that held the cable, I did the same to the part on the back end, and just caped off the hole. I repainted them both, it looks good, and gets rid of the park brake at no cost!
  12. Thanks for the info so far, I am realy not looking forward to spliting the case! Sounds like a lot of work.
  13. My Banshee wont shift out of 4th and 5th gears. The oil looks grey and shinny. I took my banshee for a ride for the first time this winter, it was cold out so shee ran quit lean. After letting it sit for a half hour after the first ride, I noticed it was smoking more than usual when I stared it up again. After letting it warm up I tried to ride it again, but noticed it would only shift from 4th to 5th but is stiff trying to shift. ( does anyone know what is causeing this problem, and what I need to do to fix it ) Any help would be apreciated, thanks!
  14. I did my best wheelie last week, then I tryed it again and went back to far, I didn't hit the rear brake in time and drug the bar bending it up and tearing off the tial light and plate holder, I was just happy I didn't drag the silencers, that would have been pricey!
