  1. I take it no one will be around tomorrow? I will be tacky dirt to say the least. I probably will bring my CR and run the track.
  2. How many of you all will be there tomorrow? Its drizzling here again but clearing up this afternoon and tomorrow its 70 and sunny so I'll be coming out tomorrow for sure.
  3. Looks like it rained all night! :ermm: How much mud you seeing?
  4. Hope you have the grill ready............I got the burgers coming in the morning!
  5. Thunderstorms happening here about an hour away. I bet you guys are having the time of your life toniight (those that are there already)
  6. Okay.......when you enter the park their is a general access road going down to the MX track and the outer trails. To the right are the camping spots by a pond and that is probably where a lot of people will be.
  7. Starting to dry out here. Haspin should be okay by riding time on Saturday. I ain't skeered of a little mud anyway.
  8. If the weather is righteous I should be there Saturday morning around 10 or 11. I'll bring meat for burgers but someone else needs to bring the buns and grill.
  9. I'll still bring seasoned meat to make really juicy and delicious hamburgers if someone brings a grill! I'm in. Also on Sunday they are having races on the little track that weekend and those are pretty fun to watch. (especially the kids on the little atvs)
  10. The thread didn't start out with "I am in the market for a new or used quad and would like some input into what would be a good machine for trail riding?" Hardly anyone would have objected to a YFZ or similar 4 stroke machine as a suggestion. It instead started out "I have this Banshee and would like to know how to make it trail worthy". This is how the trouble began. I should have known better than to respond to this thread. Arguing on the internet is like competing in the special olympics: Even if you win you are still a retard.
  11. He said he'll take $3000 cash for it and has the title to it. 2006 SE modded setup
  12. I'll see what I can dig up.
  13. If they don't need to be rebuilt you basically got a steal on those.
  14. Another factor is "why don't you just buy a 4 stroke" response doesn't answer what a person can do to make their Banshee trail worthy. I think most all of us know the value of torque and how it helps in tight spots like trail riding to make the event fun, but for me, that would mean selling my Banshee to buy another quad. (I am doing okay financially right now, but I am not buying another machine when I have a shed full of dirt bikes and a Banshee) Seriously, I know the YFZ is better for trails, but I don't have to bother selling mine to get someone else's machine. I already have a machine that with a few mods can do what I want it to do.
  15. I was trying to make lite of the situation. The truth is I have asked 5 of the questions on my own list. Its just funny though in a month's time what gets asked and what gets answered.
  16. Mine does good on the trails. Not a lot of money into it either. Get some 28 mm carbs Pro Series Boyesen Reeds Pro Circuit Exhaust Timing Plate Good quality biting tires Skid plates everywhere Do that and she'll grab when you hit it.
  17. Take a feeler guage and see if the gap is more than .020. If it is then you have a problem. A lot of reed setups are gapped but they should close and most often do.
  18. The newer Raptors are a lot of fun. For my money though I'll stick to the low cost of owning a two stroke.
  19. This is exactly how you MX a two stroke and how you stay in the powerband. You'll kill your clutch, and that is okay, because you have to replace a clutch anyway so you might as well get your money's worth.
  20. Lets all do a Top Ten Most Asked questions list: 1) I just put X brand pipes on my Banshee and would like to know the jetting: Search feature will take you straight to the Jetting forum 2) Anyone know why my Banshee bogs when I give it gas *see answer 1 3) How often should I change my gear oil? Read owner's manual. If you don't have one they exist online 4) I ride on trails and need a good replacement tire * The search feature is overwhelming and the opinions are many but their are four or five branded tires you can't go wrong with. 5) I just bought my first Banshee and need to know the best mods to do on it. * When I see this I sometimes see what kind of riding they intend to do, but not much and the search feature is okay but lets give the board more info when you first post 6) What is TORS and is it necessary? guaranteed this is a once a month question by a new member 7) I want to make my Banshee faster, what should I do? * It might be helpful to know if this is for drag or top end 8) How often should I clean my air filter? * Refer to answer 3 9) What year did they stop using J arms because I want to buy a Banshee, but have heard these are a bad setup? * The search feature will set you free on this one. 10) And my favorite question: What is the best year Banshee to buy?
  21. If they don't get rain this week, it will be hard going. It was dry there yesterday, but not really bad yet, but two or three more days of this and it will be a sand storm when you ride there.
  22. Not sure when I'll get there. Hopefully not long after the gates open.
  23. Like say.......a throttle cable for a TORS setup. I'm sure a lot of those are now NOS.
  24. 55 Tomorrow and sunny. Sunday will see 60 though. Who is going to be there tomorrow?
  25. Just another way to raise revenue.
