  1. If you want a cub just to say you have a cub, go that way. But go with ported stock cyls and a 4mil if you want to make more power. My HJR ported duner ran with bonbons stock stroke cubs. I only had T-5's and he was running shearers, both on gas and I'm a lot heavier. Now that I have mine on meth with shearers there would be no comparison. Never seen a stock stroke OR 4mil cub run close to Bigred's stock cyl 4mil either, ported by Eric Gorr...

  5. K&T builds fast stuff but Kim is a prick. I love my HJR 4mil duner motor. Think I had around 1500 in it all said and done but I already had head, pipes, carbs, etc. Give him a call, cool guy who knows his stuff. This Jeff guy here ^^^ seems to build a few engines too....
  6. I love my HJR aggressive dune port. He ported it for gas and T-5's but it really came alive with meth and shearers. Guess it depends on what you're looking for but I couldn't be happy. It is a tad high spirited for the woods, but still gets around and is a blast on open fire road type trails. and on the sand it's perfect. Enough tq to thumb it in 3rd gear and ride wheelies all day long, or skin it back and run like a stabbed right on the top end. SEMPER FI!

  10. If stick with cubs, cheetahs, or a twister aftermarket cylinder. You would probably be happy with a set of good ported stock cylinders too, depending on what you're trying to accomplish. Sounds like your buddy doesn't know banshees very well.
  11. Shearers. Oof's will turn more rpms, but I prefer in frames. Keeps a little more stealthy look, especially my set painted flat black... Greg

  20. You didn't answer the part about the fuel you're running and it does kinda matter. I can imagine your running pump gas at the moment. If you want to stick with pump has, leave your domes where they are. If you want to step up to race has or methanol you could go with 18s or 19s depending on the desired end static compression. I prefer to keep compression around 145psi for pump gas. 160ish for race gas, and 185 max for methanol. You hit a point of diminishing returns where too much compression can actually make it harder for the engine to rev out and hurt your performance. Kinda depends on what you're using the bike for too. Every builder may have a different opinion on that but these are just my thoughts. Kevin and I talked a little about it on the phone today and he seems to agree, on the compression part. Greg

  23. I'm running them in my duner with boyesen dual stage reeds and can't tell any difference btw them and VF2's. Spend the money of V Force if you want but for all practical purpose on a play motor, the ported cages and boyesens do great.
