  1. Interested. Got pics and is it chrome? pc? What color
  2. LOL fatty's FTMFW!!!
  3. I'd go with the builder in this thread who offered advice instead of pimping himself and taking subtle pot shots at other builders.
  4. I've seen BOTH kinds break cases. I had the modquad thick billet one and it bent like a straw and punched through my cases. Bigred has the plastic on and it didn't save his either. That being said I think the TM Designworks UHMW piece is the best, and will prevent a break MOST of the time. I'll never put billet pos on another engine.
  5. You guys have to remember that the relative viscosities of engine oils and gear oils are not the same... Meaning an 80weight gear oil is not "twice" the viscosity of 40wt engine oil lol. Here's a chart that may help
  6. That's a little thicker than I like. You gotta think you're adding frictional resistance with the heavier oil. I like type F. It's cheap, thin, protects good, clutch hooks up good and you can change it often if it shears down. Been thinking about trying some synthetic and see if it holds up a little better, but sticking with ATF either way...
  7. I have a friend who has a nice YFZ and he is looking for a banshee. If you would be interested email some pics to me [email protected] and I can get you pics and all the info on his bike. I know it has a WR stroker kit, High comp piston, DRD exhaust, Dynatek Ignition, Intake, High Output Stator and some other stuff. Thing runs hard and reliable. Only a few rides on the new engine tuning it and it runs flawless.
  8. Got a good R6 engine. You pay shipping for both and we can talk.
  9. Thanks Mark
  10. I have a stock head.
  11. That wasnt directed at you JD. Dont take it that way.
  12. Gas or Alky? I run BR8ES for gas BR9ES for Alky with the gap closed up to .018 You can run BR8EGV (or 9's) once you get it dialed in if you want. Better plug but they're expensive.
  13. Actually I posted this and several other questions on PS and have always gotten good technical feedback. Unlike this place that can barely have any technical worth to a thread because of small minded big ego'd people like you who would rather look cool than share their knowledge for the love of the sport. If you're referring to "my boy" as Jared. He has his own opinions and ideas and I have mine. A lot of times we agree and sometimes we dont. He has taught me a lot and helped me, for which I am very grateful. I'm asking this because I want to know what others experiences have been, not just that of one person. Hence the whole concept of a public forum for enthusiasts. This is supposed to be an enthusiast site you know, not your I-want-to-feel-good-about-myself-today-so-I'm-going-to-pick-on-someone-else-and-get-attention website. Thank you for your opinion on the magnum basket. Looks like a good choice and Jeff has a good price on it. I might buy another thing or 2 from Jeff this season and so I'll consider the basket. I'll be sure to explain to him on the phone that I have nothing against him but get a kick out of his nutswingers and how easily their buttons can be pushed. He may or may not agree that his fanatical following is somewhat laughable at times, but I'm sure it wont' change the quality of product or service he provides. that is all
  14. I think sometimes this guy talks just to hear himself. I shouldn't have expected anything worthwhile from you. Half of what you said didn't make any damn sense. To the OP, if it was a choice btw a STOCK STROKE CUB and a 4mil STOCK PORTED CYL build. I would choose the latter. That is my opinion. Sorry the michigan pricks derailed your thread.
  15. Hi daj, Let's stay on topic here. Childish and immature remarks are not needed. Thanks little buddy
  16. Well ill put it to you this way. I have never seen a 4mil cub run close to my drag bike or Jareds gorr bike. And we have raced several of them... This is ON THE DUNES. We don't ride on a track so I can't help you there. Maybe on a track in a drag frame / setup a hard running ported cub would out run us both but I can tell you on the dunes where we ride, it has positively never happened... The ones we raced were probably all un ported. And if you don't believe me about the 10mil cub I ran side by side with I can ask glen to get on and make a post. Greg
  17. Where are you located
  18. That would be the magnum basket. I think Daj likes his too...
  19. There's a ton of brands out there. Wiseco, Hinson, Barnett, Magnum, Boss, etc, etc. Most of them are in the same price range, any particular one to shy away from? I like the Barnett I believe that has replaceable inserts so if it does get grooved you can replace them. This will be ran on a 4mil stock cyl dune bike with an FZR clutch and no lockup. Thanks,
  20. I would install the pistons in the cylinder and measure the piston to bore clearance. Like you said it should be .003 I bet it's way off though... if thats what your pistons actually measure
  21. Ok, I'm just saying you can make more power and go faster than a 421 cub for a lot less money than you will end up spending... I would put Bigred's gorr ported 4mil stock cyl up against any 421 cub any day and I gaurantee you the cub wouldn't touch it. All the cubs I race wouldn't run with my 4mil fast ported drag bike either... The only cub that ran with that bike was a 10mil, and we were side by side... He had 40mm lectrons, shearer oof's, alky, etc. It's all in how you set it up, but a set of stock cylinders in the hands of a knowing builder, ported for a 4mil can haul complete ass...
  22. What kind of stuff you looking for man?
  23. Need to know your mods. My buddy has a Z he would be interested in trading.
  24. I vote for shearers. Didn't care for CPI's on a stock cyl 4mil. JMO
