  1. My daughter wants a PS3 for Christmas and I am going to get one Friday. Before I do is there any advantages in getting a Xbox instead?
  2. X3 for Mull. water pumps might seem overrated...until it breaks too.
  3. I think you would be much happier with the 33's. You dont really even need to go that big but if you open it up more in the future you'll have them. Smaller carb=better throttle response.
  4. What is baking soda supposed to do?
  5. Why did you go from 158 to 170 mains if it ran fine before? That sounds way too big to me for a stock cylinder play port. The jets didnt blow your head gasket. I'd go 2 turns and work from there. Sync those carbs and make sure your choke nobs are both turned out the same amount. PJ's are a little tricky.
  6. X2 You will be rich all winter, no matter how cold it gets.
  7. I havent checked out the odi grips yet but my favorite have always been the Renthal grips with the tiny little diamonds on them, single compound. They wear really good and give excellent control. They are not made for comfort though. I hate squishy grips.
  8. That doesnt seem that out of line compared to the one that I have stock carbs on. I could go about 2 1/2 hours with 290 mains not riding too hard.
  9. Does anyone have a Tri-Z manual on pdf that I could have. I just need something to get me started until the one I bought gets here.
  10. I'll have to check that, I just bought the cable and didnt notice it light up.
  11. Alright here is the deal, I have my surround sound system with the dvd player built into it plugged into my tv with the hdmi cable and it works the way it should. I have the blueray plugged into the tv with a hdmi cable and a digital optical cable going from the tv to the surround sound reciever. If I watch a blue ray and use the tv speakers it is fine but when I try to listen to it on surround sound it works but there is very little volume like the amp isnt pushing the signal (same with if I want to listen to a tv program through the surround). It should be shaking the whole house when I crank it up like the dvd does. I have tried connecting it every way I could think of and checked the settings on all of the equipment and cant figure it out. Everything is Sony. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
  12. Run Klotz at 40:1. Good choice on the oil, its the best.
  13. Where do you get them?
  14. Sounds like a blockage somewhere not letting the coolant circulate then building pressure when it gets hot.
  15. I use the Cascade style pancake bearing. Get it from Jeff at F.A.S.T
  16. Somewhere between 280-300 would be my guess depending on temps.
  17. I dont know what those kevlar clutch's cost but you can get a clutch from Jeff at F.A.S.T for about $100 that will hold damn near anything.
  18. I would stick with the dual carb setup if I were you, I see no advantage to having a 2 into one other than ease of tuning and thats even a weak excuse. Some claim better low end torque and throttle response but although I dont have a dyno I have a very hard time believing its any better than a properly matched set of duals of the correct size, and you get to keep your top end.
  19. You better wait till you get bigger mains before you ride anymore. Anyway you should get your mains dial in before you worry about your needle.
  20. Braided lines might help a bit , I'm not sure. I like having the fronts a little on the spongy side, kind of like old school antilock.
  21. ^^^? Those carbs would be ok, I'd stick with the K and N that you have and add a power lid or mod a stock one with a screen or something. Get rid of the 18's.
  22. Worn out or missing packing will cause a loss of power through turbulence in the silencer. If you dont believe me take your packing out.
  23. Jeff at FAST will hook you up cheap, or there's always ebay.
  24. The tubes should go all the way to the tips, thats how there held solid. I would disagree that the packing is only to quiet it down.
  25. Been letting the kid ride out in the field behind my house to get used to running the clutch and when she came in the other day I noticed some antifreeze dripping down the underside of the left hand pipe. I cant see where it could be coming from, dont see anything external and pulled that plug and it doesnt look like it had got anything on it. I cranked it over with the plug out and it didnt blow any liquid out. It probably got warm because she was putting around in 1st gear most of the time but dont think it could have got real hot. Its got a Noss head but dont know why a o ring would have went, I ride the shit out of it and never have a problem. Any ideas before I tear it down?
