Thanks, I did look on there and found a couple that are kind of close. One was totally missing the engine though.
  2. Just wondering if I was running type F and wanted to switch to a regular oil or gearsaver should I do it since the frictions have already absorbed the type F or should this not be a problem?
  3. +12 swingers look mean.
  4. I never seen it done like that before. They sure are pretty though.
  5. Thank everyone for the help and advise. As soon as I get a Blaster set up for the kid I'm going to set a date and go.
  6. Works pipes are not chrome, I have the platinum's and I'm not familiar with the platinum 2's. My PC's seemed quite a bit better low and mid but cant say for sure up top,I think it was close. I just never really cared for fmf's, I've had bad luck with them rusting out for some reason. If you want new I dont know where you should go but they always have used ones on here and ebay.
  7. If you have some coords that would be great. Since it will be my first time and I'll have a 10 year old kid with me I'd rather go when its not busy to get the feel for it. I just want to break up the winter a little by getting away for a week or so then go back later in the year to hit it hard.
  8. I have both of those pipes and I can feel an increase in power everywhere with the PC's compared to the Gnarlys. I would recommend dual stage carbon fiber petals on your stock cages.
  9. I noticed mine doing that about an hour ago, stuck float.
  10. 15 miles from Cherokee. Get me the pics and I'll show him. He's mainly into Les Paul's but it's worth a shot.
  11. I thought about getting them at one point and I like the way they look too but I went for the FTZ intakes and love them, they are all aluminum and dont have the typical carb boots like that ,they use a rubber hose that cant break, the bad thing is that if I want to v force reeds I have to cut the stuffers off. They dont look near that nice but I'm not going for looks.
  12. I see no problem with .100 (2.5mm). You dont bore for power, you bore the minimum just to clean up the cylinder walls when necessary so the way I see it is if you have a set thats punched .080 and needs a bore why not go to .100, thats alot more riding time on that set of cylinders before you need to resleeve or junk them(could be several years if maintained). I guess it all depends on if you want to buy the .100 pistons vs different jugs and pistons. Does the greater piston surface produce more heat on the cylinder walls? Yes it does but I feel there are other ways to deal with that. Just my opinion .
  13. If you were to get a different pipe get PC's. No one is doubting that the guys at Dynojet told you that, we just know it isnt true. You are going to have to rejet weather it be from pipes, temperature change, altitude, fuel quality, etc. Its just something that your going to have to learn if you want to own a 2 stroke. Anyway I really hope you are happy with the pipe,it sucks spending a bunch of money on something you dont like.
  14. Is the big building with the white roof right by that intersection the Glamis store? If so how many miles is it from there to the Geko campsite? It's hard to visualize how big of any area im looking at. Do you guys use a GPS and just ride all over the whole area?
  15. I live 50 miles from Sioux City. email is : [email protected]
  16. I was looking on google earth. is gecko and roadrunner the main places to camp? Looks like a hell of a long way to go for a beer run.
  17. Those are great, everyone of them is true.
  18. Got any pictures? My dad may be interested.

ttt Nobody got one or no one on here from this god forsaken area.
  20. Yeah, they dont do real good but mine does alot better than my 400ex and the 400 suzuki I had but I dont know why. I have a set of sand geko's i'm going to try this winter(maybe tomorrow). The snowmobilers get real pissed of you ride on their groomed trails here but I really dont give a shit, they say the knobbies rut up the path but their 3 1/2 inch lugs dont. Anyway straight line is good once you get your speed up but turning sucks.
  21. I've never been there but have spent alot of time over the past 33 years in southern california.(most all of my family lives there) I realize Glamis is a recreational area with rangers patrolling the area just like we have DNR in charge of all of our state run campgrounds and overseeing hunters and fishermen, but it is also open desert so how can they really keep track of you? Not that i'm trying to get out of paying for a pass, I'm just curious how they can patrol such a vast area, I mean you could technically ride to Mexico couldnt you? My Grandparents lived in Cabazon and It seemed to me like I was in the middle of nowhere, I could head out and just go forever, It was awesome.
  22. I am also very interested in seeing some comparisons between old and new rockets and some other pipes.
  23. Thanks, I'll check into that.
  24. Thinking about taking the kid on a short vacation sometime after Christmas. She wants to go to Glamis (I do to !) but I wouldnt want to drag a camper that far for just a week so I would like to know where the best place to stay would be and how far away is it from the main riding areas. If anyone has information or a link please share it with me.Thanks.
