  1. Dirtwheels is a buncha douchebags that dont know crap about bikes in general and definately not the banshee and I would NEVER use any spec they post as a fact. They will post different wheelbases on quads in two consecutive issues. They definately dont even try to be accurate.
  2. Perfect carbs for any size cub. No question. We run em on ported 350s all the way up to big cheetahs and they work great.
  3. Got my stuff from Uwenr today just as described and shipped fast. Thank ya bro.
  4. M/M atv, FAST racing, or Chariot would all get my money before I would wanna try RDZ. M/M Andy is an honest guy that I trust with my money and is really helpful.
  5. The 4 mil cubs are very impressive motors. I keep hearing good stuff about redline. I dunno what pipes you have but shearers are the chit on em.
  6. Yes. Theres no reason to use a wideband. We usually run richer than most shop guys not familiar with alky think and it keeps our motor cooler.
  7. If your clutch basket was grooved up it may do stuff like that. Otherwise just take it apart and see why the plates or washer, nut are messing up before it does damage to other stuff.
  8. I like it too. I wasnt bitchin for sure. If I buy from someone I try to make it from someone who has a better rep than 50 posts anyway. Theres too many jackasses who post stuff as their first post.
  9. If you can run any motor combonation then get porting. As these guys told you , bore doesnt add much but a ported 4 mil or even a ported 350 is a monster compared to a stocker. Get REAL porting from a real builder and dont hack up your cyls yourself. A ported 350 with a good set of pipes like cpi or shearers will be about all you could ride on a stock swingarm. Yes you can hide a 4 or even a 10 mil crank in a set of stock cyls with even a stock head if you wanted too.
  10. With a bike with pipes we would normally tell you around 150 for mainjet, with stock pipes and the cfm airbox may be in the 120s- 150s?? Make sure you watch your plugs. I too wouldnt even mess with it till you get a set of pipes.
  11. Money sent Chris for stator cover , shifter , and kicker. Good talking to you again, been along time. Radar
  12. A couple guys on atvdragracers.com were wanting oof shearers.
  13. Make a spacer outta black pvc or something and you'll be cool.
  14. Extremes and haulers are the exact same tire other than the thicker paddle on the extreme. Both can be buffed or not buffed. They have a 7/8" tall paddle. If you are hill shooting then you may want a hauler as the thinner paddle will mph slightly higher up top. They both work well on most bikes but a higher hp bike may not like haulers due to paddle flex. Generally an extreme will hook a little harder due to the thicker paddle. 9 extreme will hook similar to a 10 hauler.
  15. On a drag bike on gas, I would just run it a bit rich on the pilot to make up for the needle if you have to. Definately throw trinity's domes in the trash and have someone else cut you some. CPI big bores like higher compression BTW. You could also adjust the timing till you get it where it will jet easy. There should be a motors happy spot where it runs right dont be afraid to go less or more 6 or even 12 degrees. Sometimes they are happy with more or less. Cams 485 likes timing. Hope I'm not giving any of your secrets out Cam. On most motors with 39 pwks on gas 165-180 gets it with a cel needle and about a 48 pilot So I would start in the 190 or 200 range and go down as needed.
  16. Start with 340-350 or so, you are running in seriously cold weather. I think anything in the 200s could be lean in those temps if you are in lower elevation. Start in the mid 300s and junk down a few if the ring is black but start rich.
  17. What carbs and jetting? Stock carbs? Did you take the carbs apart? Piston windows facing the reedcage not the exhaust? Have you checked for air leaks?
  18. Whether or not its lean or rich is impossible to tell over that internet. What do your plug chops look like? If they are good then you are fine.
  19. At 55 degrees your cylinder temps arent even comperable to anyone elses. If it is 55 degrees out you should probably never see 140 degree cyl temps. When it is 85 degrees out I rarely will see over 120 degree cyl temps. When I see 135 degrees cyl temps my plugs can look lean. If I want to hot lap I can make my cyl temps be 85 degrees even if its 90 degrees outside. You should be able to run richer than you are.
  20. For $6500 you could just do a SPHINCTER those are real popular.
  21. I agree with loco. Theres not any reason to go to an unproven company with just a nice website full of shiny stuff. The best running stuff I see is coming from elsewhere. Jeffs cubs are good runnees as are Andy's ar M/M , if you need it soon you better get ahold of Jeff cuz he can be many months behind at times. A
  22. At least you are tryin. I love the pictures of sparkplugs we have been getting lately that just have a pic of the plug end and groundstrap.
  23. There ya go. Even a machine shop shouldnt charge more than $5 or 10 to press it off.
  24. Did you install the pistons with the windows facing the wrong way? They are supposed to face the reeds NOT the exhaust side. 100 psi is about the minimun to get any motor to start. .014 doesnt seem excessive for ring end gap. If it is set up for a different piston like if it has a different crank, stroke, rod combonation you can have probs. There are different dome angles and, pin to crown heights.
