  1. If your bike sits high in the back that will suck with those tires. Get one of the $30 billet lowering blocks and get your grabbar about 5" lower and it will help a ton. With about that power and a +6 my old gas bike liked 21x12x8 9 or 10 paddle extremes. If you are lighter than 200 lbs go with a 10 extreme in either a 21 or 22. They are both real close to the same size but the 21" is lighter. If you meet up with us sometime I can come up with about every tire to try.
  2. N2deep, I sent you a pm with my number in case yer bud wants rid of the rippers. Radar.
  3. Dude throw them in the trash can. Dont sell those to somebody and have em ruin their motor.
  4. Thats whqt we keep saying. 6 hours and its time for a rebuild. They really have a peaky powerband and most people I know that have had them and rode them a bit have plqting problems. I dont know why because other athena cyls dont have the same problems. I dont know if its a supplier problem or what but they are very short lived as they come.
  5. Up... up....
  6. I keep saying im gonna do a lil alky tuning video. Just have to make sure I say its how I do it not necessarily how everyone does it.
  7. Will $50 work for the lever? Bump for a good seller I have bought from before.
  8. Holy cow. Those must have wierd slides or needles. Thats kind of the problem with oddball carbs. Usually a small carb like that was designed for some small or old dirtbike like a 125 or something. I dont know if I would mess with em if they seem hard to tune at all.
  9. Im assuming your setup like gearing etc are fine and you are just switching to alky. The bogging probably isnt related to the airscrew. Start the bike up , rev it a couple times pretty high and hopedully you can get it to clean out and sound good. Then hold the throttle about 1/4 or 1/3 rd way and make the motor revv a bit, hold your hand over a pipe while holding the throttle at 1/3 rd. If your hand gets very wet then lean out your needle a little. If your hand gets hot and not wet at all then go a little richer till you get the needle set where it doesnt drench your hand but isnt just dry and smokey. It should be just barely wet with maybe a little black color. Each bike is different but somewhere between being wet and dry on the needle is where most of them are happy.
  10. It should be on the side closest to the shift star. Opposite side and away from the sprocket. It could also be weak and or need stretched a lil but how it was explained to me that spring is what keeps that fork from trying to go in gear.
  11. Methanol is not easy to tune if you dont know how it is different from gas. No offense because we all started from scratch but if at all possible have someone help you tune those carbs. They should have different needles, drilled dumps, drilled mains and the airscrew isnt really all that important compared to the needle setting and powerjet if it has them.
  12. 472 Super. If its wanting to jump into gear when you start the bike and dont have the clutch pulled in it could be that either there is a spring on the shaft the forks go on missing. There should be a small spring between the shift fork and the case closest to the shift star. That little spring should be there. If you look on atvdragracers.com in the 2 stroke section you will see a write up I did on the duneable and the springs. If its not a duneable it will just have the farthest right little spring shown in the pics. Here is the link. http://forums.atvdragracers.com/topic/12383-duneable-override-spring-balance-and-adjustment/ Hope that helps. Radar
  13. I dont mind those carbs. It seems like with the vm 34 carbs we ran about mainjets in about the 260/270 range. I would think the 32s would be a little smaller than that. All the VMs I have had needed the needle leaned out one or two clips from the middle. I would expect it to be in the low 200 range dor main but you might wanna start at 270 and only run it 50 or a hundred feet or so and keep checking it as you go down. 34mm mikuni flatslides I ran 250 mains.
  14. Lookin for some 12 paddle rippers

  15. There are pics in my build thread. My first choice would be to just buy a set. I just want a lil more tire when the dunes are real dry and soft. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151720
  16. Like it says. Would prefer 22" 12 paddle Skat trak Rippers but would consider extreme staggereds too maybe, I could even trade my 73" 14 paddle superlite extremes but wouldnt mind keepin em for the track. . Thanks Radar
  17. I ordered a set of those and they actually dropped the carb plus the "bowden" from an airplane with a little parachute and it landed on my porch, true story. Lmao.
  18. Ive seen this chassis run like 3.80s when it had a 4 mil cub in it. It was ridiculous and Ray has spared no expense to make this bike and motor a killer. Its no freakin joke. All top notch stuff and Ray has had fast stuff before this bike. He doesnt cut corners.
  19. I would wait till the Toomey T-7s come out in a month and try em.
  20. Why the hell is it every freakin ass time a guy buys a crank in california, texas , new jersey or freakin ebay and it fails cuz its got a junk rod does somebody even mention Andy at M/M , No Limit . STFU with that stuff. Those arent his cranks failing.
  21. Hp will drop but the torque will drop more than the normal 1 foot lb of torque to 2hp. Thats the pipe holding too much heat. The motor may even have better overrev but lose HP and torque when the pipe is too hot. Your peak hp although lower HP wise may actually be at a higher RPM than the better COLDER HP and TQ number.
  22. They are both amazing motors compared to stock. For a drag motor the cub is often times a little better as far as HP just the wqy it is cast. If the cheetah is ported and done right it would be right with the cub. As far as riding and having lowend as well as screaming topend like for dune riding the cheetah with powervalves will win hands down. As they are cast and not ported the cub will be about 8 hp better than the 421 cheetah.
  23. Rollout and condition of the 13s they look big. Good paddles and condition? Thanks Todd
  24. Dasa cheetah.
  25. Any time the exhaust side of a piston melts it was due to a lean condition of some sort. Detonation can cause temperatures to skyrocket. Your bike actually releases a lot of heat out the exhaust.
