  1. DO IT! .300 is doable , seen a 100 lb chick hit .340 . LMFAO. You guys should pitch in $5 or $10 a piece and the winner gets the cash.
  2. THAT IS LEAN. Exhaust side melts first , smears aluminum all across rings sticking them to the piston , scrapes cylinder. Do NOT just rebuild and start it back up without finding out what caused the lean condition. There is also absolutely no wash on those pistons , you will also see the very black color of the pistons, that was a pretty lean bike. There should be wash marks next to the transfers where the incoming fuel keeps the piston sort of washed clean and shiny. That sucker is just black as hell.

  4. oops . Prolly later in the day thurs or maybe even friday. Depends on freakin work. If somebody grabs one earlier in the week that'll help. Just worry about em all being full. Last year there were plenty but the year before they were all full on thurs. I HATE WORK! Need some sand time. LOL

  8. I'm taking my +10 off my bike this week to put my new +12 on. I don't need pipes, crank or cyls. But if you'r interested I'm gonna ask $275 shipped. Its a +10 MetalTech no link, oval tube, round carrier style, chrome in nice shape. Who ported the cylinders? I have a bud wanting a 4 mil crank, cyls etc. I'll ask him if he's interested. Radar

  10. I dont think those are DG headpipes.. You guys would be surprised how well DG's work on a bike with a fat rider and the exhaust port changed slightly. LOL

  13. None of those. Pound for pound and for less money than most of those CP Industries. The Trex and Twister are good stuff but for less money and fast right out of the box.CP
  14. Its hard to sell without a history of any kind. Most of the ripoffs lately on here have been from Az, Ca, Nv. Even with a phone number or address there have been ripoffs.
  15. Get yer stockers bored to 28mm , that'd be good to about 75hp.
  16. I'd run Shearer big bores for inframes. There will be a difference between inframes and out of frames. The OOfs will have more torque for sure but inframes can run very well too. .
  17. I had a 392 Cub with 35s and ended up tuning down to a 148 main on the dyno and it was 11hp stronger than when I had 155s in it. If your plugs are brown as well as wet then you are extremely rich more than likely. Chop a plug don't look at it till you cut the threads off and see where it is.
  18. I don't know what your plugs look like and you haven't mentioned pulling a plug or chopping. Take this from a guy that likes cubs , they are not known for having torque down low. They are designed to run very well at 8,000 rpms and up. Gearing can help as well as tuning the main as well as the needle but unless you are tuning off the plugs we can't help ya much honestly.
  19. Just like he said, broken skirt. Maybe from cast pistons either stockers or , namura,vitos. Double check crank and rod bearings and bore clearance/ shape for wear.
  20. He got it lined out. He ran a 4.02 last week at a real poor track so its runnin now. He swapped out a few different things including threw a set of PWKs on it and messed with wiring. Don't know what it was exactly but think its fixed.
  21. The real thing wrong with the PWK as well as the Air Stryker is many times they do not come with the correct needles. Airstrykers always come with the wrong needles for a banshee application and will give anyone fits unless the needles are switched out. I too had the airstryker curse for months cuz mine had wayyy rich short needles in them. Luckily Jeff at FAST helped me and convinced me to buy some CEL needles. After that they rocked with normal 155 mainjets and 48 pilots , about the same as PWKs. As for the vent lines I hate them and you can NOT block them off. Instead of routing mine over the carbs like they come I cut mine very short and just had them on the same side just like a PWK. PJs are kinda old school but they work pretty well , I just prefer PWKs over all of them.
  22. Porcelain cracking in the plugs is from detonation not necessarily from heat. A hot motor will detonate very easy compared to a cold motor. Something is wrong with those silencers if the CPI ones work fine, they are clogged up or the tube length is longer, tube inside diameter is smaller or something. I would NOT run with those silencers even one more time if it detonates with them on. That will hammer your pistons and domes to death.
  23. Jeff's stock cylinders run very well and if it was setup for shearer inframe pipes I'd bet they will be fine. You might call him and see if he's want you to change anything switching pipes.
  24. If the eccentric/concentric adjuster is worn any and or is adjusted slightly too high it can do what you are describing. Also if the shift shaft or claw is worn/ bent at all that can give you problems. Sounds like since you just put forks in it and all should be good then maybe the eccentric is adjusted with the claw part that hits the pins on the shift star may be a little higher now. Should be centered on each pin on the star. If not , or if it does it in 4th and 5th as well it can be slutch slip for sure.
  25. Don't let not havin paddles keep anybody home. Last year I gave away 2 sets and bikes can get around with dirt tires. There's stock honda 250 recons out having a good time. Come and ride.
