  1. 40 or 41.3mm will work well for all out hp. 38mm and even 34-36 are very popular too for duners and may suit the non drag guys better.

  3. Its impossible for us to run it without the number.
  4. I believe it starts at 4 degrees over stock. If you are trying to put another 5 or 7 degrees or so into it on the plate that would be 9-11 total over stock.
  5. I had them on a cub with no spacers and they were fine but rubbed a little. The cubs have a tilted intake for clearance. If its a stock cyl I would probably just run spacers.
  6. He is talking about checking to make sure the caps, grounds and stuff all seem to be good. If its possible to know what side is cutting out then swap plug wires and see if its now bad on the other side. That would tell you whether the plug wire or cap is bad. The caps go bad frequently and are only a few bux each.
  7. Also, if you have the carbs in the wrong side the choke circuit is wrong. The carb bowl with the brass bearing looking thing goes in the left cyl. If its not that then make sure the pistons have the windowsfacing the reeds not exhaust. They can be installed backwards.
  8. On a no link rear you cant use a lowering block. The heigth adjustment is made with the shaw length. You can adjust it a bit lower by turning in the bottom heim if its adjusted out or by taking it out and taking the nut off the heim if it has one. The nut is only 1/2" wide but it will lower a no link +12 swingarm a bunch. Unfortuneately that will also change the compression and rebound dampening quite a bit just by having different geometry on the angle of the shock. Marvin shaw has revalved them for me for about $40 with shipping in the past if they were off by much.
  9. If you have .060 squish that is generally more than we run but not bad if its just a play bike. We usually run around .040-50 give or take .005 . If it is cranking 150 without ever being ran then dont worry about it. It would be 10 or 20 more with a warm broken in motor. A 421 usually runs a 12 to 20 thous gasket depending on the builder.
  10. What the hell do mean its siezing up top? Do you mean the motor is locking up or do you mean its cutting out. If its rich it will cut out.
  11. Keep your timing down and dont try to jet your bike correctly. Keep it very rich and you probably wont detonate the crank out of it till you get a different setup. Trinity only has that bad reputation from the 500 people who have blown orings, pistons and hammered ruined cranks from their many years of bad domes. I really dont think thats very fair to Trinity to blame them for all that do you? A good set of domes only costs $50 to 80.
  12. Around 185/115
  13. Ricky stator, ricky stator ricky stator. If you say it 3 times the demons go away. Search ricky stator on here ans you will find out it is the most cursed piece of crap product sold to banshee owners. I have fought the curse in the past and never again. I spent countless hundreds trying to fix crap on a bike years ago that had a TRICKY stator.
  14. Thats pretty much normal for a bike to get dirty when riding slow. Did you lean out your needle if you think its excessive? Mikunis are pretty smoky and rich at small throttle positions.
  15. If you are on gas or unported without running 11 paddles or bigger with a +8 swingarm then honestly you wouldnt probably need a lockup. A good streetbike clutch like FAST sells will hold 100hp or better. A lockup clutch is a device added to the clutch setup that mechanically adds pressure to the clutch pack by centrifugal force from clutch basket rpms.
  16. Cam, you shoulda got my big bore shearers I just sold. You and I won more than a few races on my bike with em.
  17. Theres a few races a year. Look on youtube and you should find a few races. Lebanon mo has some indoor races, sedalia has races and there is a few a year near the kansas city area. Paola ks, gardner ks, lawrence ks, emporia ks also have a yearly race. I dont know how far you are from KC.

The bowls could be the problem if your floats rub.
  19. This has always been a stout motor. Cam is like me and doesnt waste much time eatin salads and it still hauls with his big ole butt on it.
  20. The needles have nothing to do with fuel leaking out of the vents. You need to check the float level and also make sure the float isnt hanging or rubbing on the body of the bowl.
  21. Usually around 165 at the smallest up to 175 , 48-55 pilot, CEL,CGL needles.
  22. I like permatex 1104 as well.
  23. Hit me up on the tank if its nice. Hopefully it will sell for ya.
  24. That plug looks wierd. The band or ring is usually smaller. It may be very rich and washing the plug and not even getting enough heat to burn some fuel mix onto the porcelain. If you are getting huge amounts of smoke when its revved out in a high gear then it would probably be very rich. Maybe have someone watch the bike when you do your chop. You might need to do it again and make 4 or 5 passes on it once you ensure its safe.
  25. My bad. I was thinking u had pwks. Usually run larger than a 35 pilot. Carry on. You are doing good.
