  1. Dude clean those up so we can see what they look like. Those are nasty. If they were mint they might be worth a premium price and Im not saying they arent but you cant even tell.
  2. How you tell if its jetting is by checking it. Not asking us on here. That motor should start in 2nd gear with 10 paddles. What did Kevin say when you asked him?
  3. Did you adjust your pusher and eccentric properly while you were in there? The tusk is just a normal clutch , it isnt causing the problem. You can use stock or hd springs and it shouldnt make you miss shifts. The shift star mod is a very good mod.
  4. I agree almost 100% with Evil. Main is rich by 2 sizes or better, pilot could probably go 2 or 3 larger. Dont forget to do a 1/2 throttle chop too to check your needle setting. I like to make the needle look just a little richer than the main chop. I hate riding bikes that are way fat on the needle. Very good job on not being lazy and actually tuning your bike correctly.
  5. You just dont have it together quite right. Its pretty easy to have a washer or other part not quite lined up right.
  6. Very good guy and seller.
  7. Im 100% with Titan. Needle position. 1/4 th to 1/2 is a huge part effected by needle clip position. I like to do a 1/2 throttle plug chop just like you would do a W.O.T. chop but I keep the needle a little richer than what the plug would be on a wide open throttle chop. I would imagine you are at least 2 or 3 clips off on needle. Richen the needle up (DROP CLIP/RAISE NEEDLE) and starting with new plugs ride a good ways at only 1/3 to 1/2 throttle in a higher gear preferably. You probably wanna check a plug after only 200 feet or so and make sure it isnt grey or white (LEAN) Hopefully your plug will show pretty rich. If the plug is looking rich then lean out the needle as needed tiill the stumble goes away at part throttle. I do think however you may be slightly large on the pilot as well and would change to a 45 or 48 and then tune. Changing one size on the pilot will do basically nothing if the needle is way too rich.
  8. 4mil what carbs do you have? Pwks, pjs, snomobile roundslides? Billet bowls or are they snomobile carbs setup for a pump? What are the dumptubes drilled out to? Keihins are very easy to ruin by drilling incorrectly.
  9. Just like they said. It was cuz it was a new plug. Run B8ES, B9Es, or the BR8ES, BR9ES they are all good to use.
  10. JD, do you think it would work ok to do just a stock tank? I kinda wanna keep my stock tank on my drag frame but think it may be cool to do the hydroqraphics on it. What would that cost do you think if it would work?
  11. They arent stock. They are prolly vitos old 404 cyls. Spend $500 on porting and they will run very well.
  12. They work awesome. I run 1 bearing in every other groove and both in the others. Its a great lockup and have been known to hold 180 hp motors that were notorious for slipping clutches. You can get away with running a little softer spring so you dont have a stupid heavy lever pull. I run 3 stock and 3 hd springs in mine.
  13. You wanting alky carbs? Got a set of alky 34s and billet intakes. $400.
  14. With or without tires. Lemme know what you have. If you dont have a phone or a price please do not reply. That going back and forth is stupid. Thank you.
  15. Yes. It is still best to let the clutch lever out when you click into each gear to fully engage it but you do not need to stop. If you trail or dune ride you may want to keep 1 st in the stock position allowing you to downshift like normal without going into N accidentally at times. A 1-5 only has 5 gears and as stated a M means that gear requires clutch use to get into that gear. You can also get a trans without having 1st cut so you can backload 1 st all you want but drag in 2-5 without clutching. Many options.
  16. That is such a clean ride. Right around that year of skylark they made a 215cid aluminum engine that wasnt fast but its pretty collectible. Thats a badazz car. Good find.
  17. CPI or Shearers will improve it slightly with no porting. Send your cyls to Herr Juggs for his 10 day guarantee and get a few hundred in porting and it will improve a bunch with the new pipes. Easy 20hp gain with pipes and porting.
  18. I wouldnt get rid of the pwks, thats all the carb you'd need for a 7 mil cub. As far as tuneability pwks are just as tuneable as any carb. Pilot, needle, mainjet, with the correct needle theres no better carb really. I have 40 lectrons on my 421 but they all work.
  19. It is entirely possible to have one or more air leaks causing a lean down. Thats also why when yoy start a motor up you should look at the plugs before you ride it more than a small amount after proper heat cycles. Sorry to hear this and I hope you find your problem.
  20. Overdose, Asian invasion has a set of alky 34s. They dont have billet bowls on his drag ported 350 and they never run out of fuel making 400 or 500 foot passes. He wants $300 for em. His 350 with those carbs is a very quick bike.
  21. Alky is easy to tune and makes power even really rich. I keep thinking about making a banshee alky tuning vid to put on youtube. I could do , needle setting , powerjet and mainjet settings. Whatcha guys think. Would that help?
  22. Many builders are cutting the piston windows differently or the skirt slightly differently than out of the box. Worth $30 each? Maybe yeah if you are into getting the last few percent HP. Many builders do the same thing.
  23. When Kevin gets done with it? Huh? Kevin Herr? Get the domes that correctly match what the builder would do with the pipes being used. Thats the best way. If its a stock stroke get 17s or 18s and crank the timing to about 7 or 8. I would hope your 421 cub would half track a 3 mil yfz. Those arent even in the same league.
  24. Never seen it before. Im near kc too.
  25. Silencers do NOT rob power at all. Running without will however make you your bike sound like crap and ensure fewer places for you to ride. So unless you are 14 yrs old and think its cool I would keep em on.
