Finally Dropped the 2 into 1 set up
RZBansheeMan replied to theeechozen1's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
If you want more bottom end torque, build a powervalved RZ motor with a stroker crank........No Gay 2 into 1 bull shit, the RZ in stock trim will have more torque than the single carb and dynojunk pipe combo. Just my opinion. :geek: -
He probably left those off so somebody else could put those mods on themselves......... :yelrotflmao:

I'm playing mine a on PS2, but right now I'm only renting the game until I get the extra cash to buy it.
-
I've played for a few hours yesterday, it is definately an awesome game for sure. The only thing I've noticed is that the bikes and quads handle just a lil' differently then from "Unleashed" ( I play the hell out of Unleashed and I'm more used to how those bikes and quads handle ), but I am getting used to it. Maybe, if we could get enough people to get these games either "Unleashed" or "Untamed", we could get everybody to play online together.....

Yeah, 2 into 1 pipes look super fuckin' GAY on a Banshee, maybe you could " Y " your stinger tubes together into a big single stinger tube and run a single turbo off that. Just a thought :geek:
-
That thing is so fuckin' GAY !, it looks really tacky. Although I am kinda curious as to why this idiot would think that he has it cammed and or what kind of ported head he thinks he has, along with the electric starter :geek:

I think the biggest problem with using the Banshee CDI, ( if it was possible ) is that it has 4* less timing than the RZ ignition curve. I would never use one of those silly timing advance plates to make up for needed timing because you would end up with a static timing advance at WOT, which is bad for the engine. I haven't yet checked out the other links provided by "heatwave" yet, but will soon. I would most definately use the Zeeltronic over the Banshee CDI any day. If I am not mistaken, back before there were all these fancy programmable ignitions out for the Banshee, I have been told that people used to use the RZ CDI on the banshee for the hotter ignition curve / ignition advance. When mine is done....I'm expecting it to be a rocket ship, It will consist of; Passion 12 port (dune specs) , 4mm stroker, Cool head, 35 mm PWK's, Rocket pipes maybe eventually Shearer's. I'm gonna try to run this with a stock length swing arm too..... :woot: Mike

I can't wait to get my 12 port, 4 mil, RZ jugs back from him either, just short on the funds at the moment. I am really stoked to see how this bitch will run...... :woot:

Comparing the RZ tranny to the Banshee tranny; the RZ has a lower 1st gear and a lower 6th gear than the Banshee and 2nd thru 5th are higher than the Banshee. The RZ has a wider ratio spread for street and or racing. I would just keep your banshee gears and run the RZ shift forks and drum. Mike

On one of my first 2 stroke projects, I was a 13 year old kid rebuilding my RM 80 dirtbike, well I ended up putting the piston in backwards...LOL, luckily I checked it before putting the pipe on and caught it before trying to start it.

whats would a silverado 5.3 sound like
RZBansheeMan replied to smokin 2 stroke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Cutting the muffler off will only have you looking like a high school dipshit, and there is nothing worse than seeing newer vehicles that sound like derby cars. My muffler of choice is the good ole' Flowmaster, but the Magna's sound great too, just do it once and do it right. A good friend of mine just bought a brand new Grand Prix "GPX" and that has the 5.3 in it and yes it is front wheel drive. It sounds good but is kind of odd hearing a FWD car rumble like a truck does, especially when your getting after it. -
I know that somebody makes a stroker sleeve for stock cylinders, but it is Banshee cylinder based. It may sound ludacris, but it might be possible to modify and stuff those sleeves in some RZ jugs. I think the only area of the sleeve that might need to be modified is the area around the top of the exhaust port where the valve rotates, but I don't know for sure. Might be something worth checking into if you are after a 10 mil stroker, or maybe modified replacement Banshee sleeves could be used for the 7 mil stroker and then reported to the correct durations required. Just a thought. Mike

Hopefully this will help you some Brandon.

Ill see you guys when I do...

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes and hope everything pans out for ya. Best of luck to ya. -
Hey Mark, what cylinder castings do you have at the moment ? If they are the "1UA" cylinders, those already have a lot of port duration from the factory vs "48H" and "31K" , if you are interested I can send you some port maps. As far as the spacer plates, I cannot speak from experience, but we all know that with a 4 mil, the pistons are 2mm above the deck height and with the cut domes they are very common and reliable, so I probably would try to keep that my target area. A 7 mil would obviously be 3.5 mm above the deck height, so maybe just a thicker base gasket (unsure of the thickness's available) might keep you close to the +2 deck height target. I would think that a spacer plate would be needed for the 10 mil though. Mike

best exhaust for radical exhaust duration
RZBansheeMan replied to 4stroker's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Those sound like some hot dune / drag durations to me, although I could be wrong. I personally haven't ever seen any PT high revs on the dunes or the drag strip. Mostly just Toomey's, Shearer's, CPI's, Rocket's on the dunes and play dragging and then drag pipes for the more serious draggers. I do realize that your using this for a race engine, but I think those PT's might not let that motor run to it's potential though. I think Jim (PassionRE) would be the person to ask though, he is porting my RZ and has a lot of knowledge on the RZ engines. As for the wiring harness, I sold the RZ harness, keeping all the needed components ofcourse, but I will use the wiring diagrams I have to build my own harness. I will also be buying all new wire for this, so that I know what I have. Mike -
best exhaust for radical exhaust duration

Hey Mark, I am kinda guessing that with those numbers, a custom set of Shearers would probably compliment those very well, but I am not sure if the Shearers will clear the PV assembly or not. I would definately give them a call also. How well do you like your Zeeltronic, I plan on getting one for mine once I've got mine together and running. The high school that I attended, has a dyno jet in the small engine class, the instructor there told me when I get this thing done that I can take it there and dyno it. I will make several runs with it trying out different ignition maps and then will try different PV settings also. Mike -
It's really good stuff, I think it really works wonders on cleanin' out carbon. I've had really good luck with using it on both carb'd and fuel injected engines... It does make them smoke alot, but I try not running them in any traffic when I do, just to keep myslf from looking like "Uncle Buck" out in public.... :geek:

From my experiences with wrenching on engines, head gaskets aren't completely cut out to match the water jackets, most often they just have a small hole thru them just to let the coolant pass thru. That would lead me to believe that is all that would be needed in the base gasket also, rather than cutting it all the way out. :geek:

All the port timings need to be altered for the added stroke, and the ports need to be be opened up to support the flow demands of the added displacement, along with appropriate sized carbs, reeds, and pipes. If your a car engine guy, the similarities would be like building a chevy 383 stroker motor, using a stock 350 cam, 2 bbl carb, exhaust manifolds, and single 2" exhaust.... :geek:
-
Those are RZ 350 carbs. They would probably work ok on a banshee, but you most likely will have to put regular mikuni tops and cables on them, not 100% sure though.
-
Kinda curious to know if that was with a stock Banshee CDI box in cionjunction with a timing plate ?

Spend your 150.00 on a graphics kit and seat cover, make your whole quad look good not just your gas tank.....

I talked to Dave a month and a half ago maybe, He said that he had the RZ head there but hadn't done anything about making any yet. I would prefer to have one of his, if he starts making them. Mike
