  1. Stellar Store Have to enter an email and a password but he has what you need.
  2. It doesn't take but a couple minutes to do. Screw it out till it stutters then screw it in till it stutters. If you do it, you will see what I mean. find the happy medium. Air screws properly adjusted also helps with starting. And, most of the time, will compensate for mild weather changes. But, if you are happy with it, why bother, I guess? The windows work for sync'ing as well. That's why they are there. I stick a finger in each carb at the same time and adjust sync by feel. I always check that both slides are going all the way to the top as well. That's what the cable nuts are for so, yes.
  3. With the bike idling and air box/ filters on like you will run them, slowly turn the air screw in and out a couple times. Go back and forth from side to side a couple times. It wont take long find where they want to be.
  4. F.A.S.T. Filters It's gonna be tough to beat that right there...
  5. Talk to Kevin @ HJR, I got mine from him. Price was good and excellent lead time.
  6. There are 4 wires on a stock switch: 1. Black with a white stripe. 2. Black with a red stripe. 3. Red. 4. Brown. You do not use the red or the brown. Black with a red stripe connects to the red with black stripe in the harness from the CDI. Black with a white stripe connects to any black wire in the harness, or ground to chassis (frame). Look at your tether. Is is likely hooked to the wires you want...
  7. Connect the Black/Red from the switch to the Red/Black from the CDI. Connect the Black/White to any Black wire or ground to chassis. You do not need the Brown or Red wires coming from the switch. Reference the diagram below, top left, Main Switch.
  8. Agreed, if both were properly set up. However, if you throw a 4 mil crank into stock stroke top end and patch it all together, the gains will be less than optimum.
  9. Probably need those springs. They keep the screws from backing out. If you have stock carbs, TORS removed, the surfaces where the springs seat need to filed. It is pretty straightforward, just be sure they are flat. Read >HERE<.
  10. Tape it off, don't need it.
  11. Unless it is leaking a ton, I would route the vent hose down to where it will not make mess and not worry about it. I think the factory dumps it into the steering stem.
  12. Did you do a leak down? Have you cleaned and adjusted the carbs? Make sure there is plenty of fresh fuel? Is it getting to the carbs? If it is lean, you probably need a bigger main jet in the carbs. Lean has nothing to do with the type of fuel and oil ratio. What size domes do you have and what is your cranking pressure? You might possibly need higher octane fuel. Deto or pre-ignition will destroy pistons as well.
  13. Do you have a vent hose on it or, one of them little plastic "chrome" vents? If you pull the cap and shake it, does it rattle?
  14. When you let off the gas and don't pull in the clutch.
  15. Did you go through and adjust the carbs?
  16. I'm just saying be careful and go slow. Once it gets hot enough that you cannot hold it in your hand, you have no idea how hot it is. It doesn't take much with a cutting wheel to get red hot at the cut. I am not a metallurgist or a machinist. But I have screwed up enough stuff to know that the way this has been done has the potential for very bad results. I sincerely hope it works. Rick
  17. If these gears get hot enough that you can't hold them, the temper probably gone...
  18. Padla Brat Application The SAND TIRES UNLIMITED "BRAT" is a new addition to our impressive arsenal of sand tires. We designed and produce this tire as an ultra-light 4 ply drag racing and hill climbing tire that provides a radical bite-to-weight ratio. The tire has two paddle combinations, 6 or 9 paddles. Mounted on an aluminum wheel, the tire and wheel weight only 10-1/2 lbs, less than most other tires without a wheel. Without the sand throwing tendencies of many other tires, it is a good tire to follow. Recommended for 10" wide wheels for best tire profile, for ATV's as small as 200cc and the large ATV's up to the 500cc monsters. Benefits Durable & Rugged 4 ply construction 20" height when mounted on a 10" wide wheel at 5 psi Flexible grooving 6 or 9 paddle design 8" or 10" bead diameters Tire weight (play grooved) - 9-1/2 lbs. Tire weight (competition grooved) - 7-1/2 lbs. From HERE I don't believe they make a 12 paddle and they are very short.
  19. Have you rode the 250? It'll feel like a mini bike after riding the Banshee...
  20. The schrader valve should be flush with the end as well. The cheap kits have the schrader in the hose. For a true reading, each adapter should have a schader n it.
