This is right out of the Yamaha manual. As long as the oil is rated SE, Yamaha says it will do the job. And, put the idle screws in... -

if your cylinders are already ported, probably be better to go with a standard piston.

Yes, just conect those two wires to a simple on/off switch. If it runs now, the red/black wire must be grounded already.
