  1. When you say left side, do you mean the side with the shifter. Only seal there would be the countershaft seal behind the sproket or the shifter seal. Either could be leaking.
  2. Exactly, just looking to make life easier for austin beforehand if we can. My problem is i dont have a bill of sale for the cases and thats what the cop wants. I have a letter from JB stating that i won the bike in the raffle and he was the final assembly guy. Im going to give it a shot as is and hope the cop will sign off on it. If not, i dont know what will happen. Banshee fever, i have talked to a couple of guys like you who said it was pretty smooth sailing, and have talked to others that said it was a nightmare. Bottom line is it really depends on how cool your local VIN officer is at the HP. He is the final answer. Tim you are correct, the bill of sale for the cases should cover the whole motor. They basically dont care about anything but the part that has the numbers on it. The only reason i mentioned others sending in bill of sale for donated parts is that the officer told me the bottom line is the more documentation you have the better. As he explained it to me, they will take pictures of the bike along with any documentation you have and put it in a file. They need to justify why they provided you with a vin on an unknown vehicle. He could just be busting my balls, but none the less i dont have a choice in the matter.
  3. it will only be like a 145 million degrees, but yeah, have fun. I actually ran into a guy who would sleep all day in the AC and then ride at night. Said it was kick ass because it was like a ghost town.
  4. Hey snop, how do you think your cousins motor would fare with the dual 28s instead of the 2 into 1.
  5. What a douche, scammers suck.
  6. WTF does this smiley face mean. Is this true, are you blznokie? If so and you are laughing at the fact that you already fucked somebody on these pipes and you just resold them then drop dead and fuck off, we dont need that bullshit around here.. Loco, if this can be confirmed ban this ass clown.
  7. Hey guys, just wanted to drop a little serious note on this whole deal to help austin out. Because he lives in this great state of Komifornia as i do, he is going to have some fun getting this thing registered. Where we ride Pismo especially, the rangers will check your paperwork from time to time. If everything is not spot on, they can and will take the bike. Because this bike is being pieced together, and the engine numbers do not match the ones that will be on the title of the frame, he is going to have it inspected by the highway patrol and they will issue a new VIN or blue sticker as they call it. He can then take that to the DMV and get his new registration that has the new VIN and engine ID# on it. Now here is the catch as i am finding out becuase i am going through this same process with the HQ bike and it is not proving fun. As a matter of fact i dont know what im going to do with it at this point because i have no VIN number becuase the frame is custom and does not have a certificate of origin, and i have no paperwork on the motor. The super ugly problem is that if any paperwork looks fishy or any thing with numbers comes back not clean the Highway patrol will impound the bike on the spot and you wont get it back. I am still in the process of gathering needed info on my bike. I have spoken to the VIN officer at the highway patrol, and he was not too happy with the build becuase he said that is what everybody does to launder stolen parts. I always thought you are innocent until proven guilty, but apparently in california and specifically in the eyes of the highway patrol it is the opposite. They want you to prove you are above board, and they want to know where all the parts came from. Definitely anything with identifying numbers. So to help austin out write him a quick bill of sale for any parts you donate. You can put the price down as 0 and say it is a donation, but just a quick note with your signature on it will go a long way with the authorities for him. If nothing else, Grizzly700 or who ever donates the cases, that will be critical. That along with the title or bill of sale for the rolling chassis will save austin a lot of headaches. I know it sounds like a pain and it can be, but it is what it is. Austin, shoot me your address again, so i can send you a bill of sale for the paddles and fuel tank. Please guys help him out, it will only take you a few minutes and will save him a lot of headaches and potentially the bike. Damn, i love our state
  8. 320 mains, 25 pilots air screws 1 turn out, and stock needle on2nd or 3rd notch from blunt end. check plugs. When cold out, i run 340s, hot weather, 330 or 320 at sea level.
  9. Im down for a couple
  10. I think they make high temp powder, Im not sure on the color availability, or how high they work. Im sure tate or some of the other PC guys will chime in. If you could get candy black in high temp , that would look sick over the chrome.
  11. Damn it, i just ordered same side chromed sb shearers with silencers. I would have jumped on these. Bump for you.
  12. Bump again for you PM sent
  13. Haha Fucker, I told you i was gonna buy the whole HQ 1 part at a time. Too bad i haven't ridden anything but a damn office chair for 6 months. Oh well soon, i promise. Maybe i will bless your sorry ass with my presence once you get that bike in your hands. As soon as i get the HQ bike registered, its getting stretched, and slammed and i want to make a trip to pismo to test it out. You are going to look awefully cute with a riding helmet and a papoose. Make sure you buy him/her some goggles, I dont want to get any sand in his eyes when i roost your ass at the beach.
  14. Anymore, i have to ask myself if it is worth fixing at the dunes, or just parking it and enjoying the cold beverages in the ice chest.
  15. There have been lots of weekends ruined by ricky stator garbage around here lately. We should sticky a big old thread that says dont buy ricky stator, but if you do make sure you take your stocker with you. Any more since i roll 2 the dunes with 3 banshees, i take a spare coil, cdi, stator gasket kit and just about everything else i can get my hands on as spare parts. Starting to get rediculous. LOL
  16. I think its a great idea and i dont think it would piss off the shops. I would love to watch it just for learning purposes, but will still have my cylinders ported by a pro. Think about it this way. My bet is that by the time you invest in the proper tools and spend your time doing it, it is cheaper to have it done. Not to mention, im sure there are lots of little tricks and tips you will only learn through trial and error, and not to many do it yourselfers are going to be doing more than 1 or 2 sets. They just arent going to spend that time perfecting their techinique. If a shop is pissed by it, that just doesn't make sense, they are all so damn busy anyway, its not like a video is going to hurt them IMHO. I say do it.
  17. Where are you located?
  18. Who hasn't had a bad ricky stator. LOL I had one do the exact thing you describe. I also had one that had a high rpm miss right out of the box. Oh yeah and a ricky stator flywheel that was out of round and 1 that the timing nubs on the flywheel were not machined right. 1 cylinder was retarded about 10 degrees.
  19. OH SHIT. Just imagine how big locos head would be if he Owned this place. (just messing with you). Me, Im here for good. I like the freedom and relaxed atmosphere of this place. Not to mention I got a FREE bike out of the deal.  If having the upgrades keeps other people happy and they continue to contribute because of that then i vote for the upgrades. Hopefully loco and lee can work something out. I myself would easily pay double for what i get out of this place. I hang out here even when im pissed at my bike and not really in the mood to talk banshee because its a cool site.
  20. From what i hear packard is THE man to talk to for Lectrons especially banshee related. From what i hear the whole key to success with lectrons is the needle. Packard will get you the right one the first time.
  21. Sammy, try dropping the needle one notch to see if it helps the bog/hesitation. I had to go down on needle(up with the clip) when i went to bigger mains. When you get bigger on the mains, it will also fatten it up some in the middle, so leaning a click might take away your bog. Also, plugs look good, but watch temps, if it drops too much go up on the mains.
  22. First off, that bike looks great. IMO, powder coat the hubs the same red as the frame and coat the wheels black. It would look sick. Already plenty of bling on that baby
  23. I run 22" razr2s in the rear and 23" razr 2s in the front on a 450. They are HEAVY, but the extra ground clearance coupled with some really good skid plates is really a must for some of the rocky ass terrain i ride. Held up great so far. I got them to replace the stockers after a punched a hole in the side wall. Dont know if the new 450stockers are diff than the 04, but i havent punctured the razr2s yet in the same terrain. Could have been a fluke.
  24. Couple of things, what are you going to be doing with the bike? I have done the following to my bike and it shifts really nice except under full power (421 cub) I have the RZ shift forks (drum is the same as banshee by the way), shift pro roller with STOCK spring, modded shift shaft and modded shift star. It doesn't take a whole lot of pressure to click gears. I was told not to run the soft spring with the modded shift star as it can click into gear too easy. Any way, im yanking it all out an putting an override in because the motor is going in my drag bike soon hopefully. Will use the parts for my duner motor.
