  1. Yes, forgot to mention, i drop to a 13 tooth front and it feels pretty close to the smaller tires with stock14 tooth gearing
  2. Dont have any pics on this computer, but i run 22/11/9 razr 2's with 23/7/10 razr 2s on my bike. They are a must where we ride becuase there are tons of rocks, and the extra ground clearance really helps keep you from hanging up all the time. They are very heavy, but it works for where i ride. My buddy runs the same size holshots on his bike and is very happy with them.
  3. Ok man, got the measurements. Measure forward from the centerline of the front bolt hole for the footpeg. 4.25" is the rear edge of the vin, and 7" will be the front edge of the vin. Scrape the PC off between those 2 marks and you should be good to go. The front edge or 7" mark is just about centered below the stator. You can see the bare spot on my frame in this pic
  4. You just need to make sure to use some form of lubricant on the threads and torque to the spec they send with the bolts, not the ones in the service manual. For what its worth, i dont use never seize, i use either blue or purple loctite depending on size of fastener and it works great, plus nothing rattles loose.
  5. Definitely sounds like blown oring. What do the plugs look like? Are they showing signs of heat on base of threads around the ground strap?
  6. Yep, all you need is the cable designed for stock carbs with tors elim. I run same cable on my 39pwks as i did with the stockers
  7. Damn, thats pretty cool. Did you get the story on the frame? How the hell does a 3 year old bike have 0 hours on it. thats cool though, brand new bike for 3 grand
  8. Sheat must be 2" longer and cable itself about 2 &1/4 " longer. they are fucked bottom line.
  9. I wonder if yours is older and the problem is a new thing. I bought both of mine from 2 diff places at diff times about 18months ago. No other probs with my stuff, just put new cables and bam adjusters all the way out at perch. Asked about it at time and got similar probs from others on here. I was in a pinch for time so i ran em instead of sending back. Wont buy anymore untill i hear they are right.
  10. From what i have read, once the tubes are drilled on the keihns, they are alky for life. I think the mikunis can be removed and replaced and allow you to go back to gas. And the lectrons can go back and forth as well. If they are keign, just sell them and pick up a new set.
  11. Still haven't seen anything from them. I'll have to hit up lowbuck and see if he knows anything. I know he was working with somebody over there when he was doing the HQ bike giveaway.
  12. I have the terminator cables on both my shees, and its the same damn way. You have to have the adjuster nut all the way out to get the slack correct when the cable is new. Once it stretches at all they will be junk. why cant anybody make aftermarket parts that actually work. I will be replacing both with OEM when time comes.
  13. Marine, dump her ass. Have you seen the bitches we grow out here in Cali. Add that to the fact that you could be within hours of Glamis, whats the down side? Its just pussy man, there is lots more to be had. It all looks the same when you stand them on their head.
  14. Also, tire size matters. Are they 20, or 21 or 22 inches tall. It makes a huge difference. what exactly do you have tire wise, and what is swinger lenght?
  15. I think the economy blows everywhere, but you would be just a couple of hours from the best damn sand anywhere.
  16. I think the shafts are around 40 bucks new. Its not really that hard. Pull off both foot pegs. Remove the shifter obviously. Next drain the coolant and oil and then pull off the clutch cover. You will then need to pull clutch assembly off. Pull of the detent and then the shaft should pull out. Good time to put in a modded shift star and billet water pump. May also want to replace the o-ring on the water pump neck in the clutch cover and inspect/replace the wter pump seal/bearing.
  17. Tim just built me some also, they are at the chromers and hopefully will be shipped out to me in the next week or so. I ordered the shit on saturday, tim went to the shop easter sunday and built them and dropped them off at the chromer monday. How the hell do you beat that service/turn around time.
  18. The first point that we can disagree on. Nothing sounds nicer than a highly warmed over 12 valve with a straight pipe and lots of timing. but hey, as long as you are driving a cummins, you are ok by me. LOL
  19. http://www.dieseltrans.com/ It says sardis BC, canada. I dont know how close that is to you. Bill kondolay is the owner. Met him a couple of times. He can be stubborn and opinionated, but when he sets your tranny up it works right.
  20. My crankcase breather tube in the back also goes straight down. Routed it with my vent lines for my carbs so anything that happens to drip ends up on the ground and not the top of the cases. i dont have one in front because i have the direct drive cover. You could just plug the front one if you have a stock cover.
  21. Money, you might want to shy away on this deal shipping either one to cali can earn you some cell time. If you are aware, its your business, jus in case you weren't Just sayin...
  22. I figured there was a misunderstanding there. Man im telling you if you are going to go cub, just go all the way now 421 cub and be done
  23. You can probably find a set of the early rear hubs cheap enough so you can use the tires. Tons of bikes getting parted. Hit up minkia or nyuk, 1 of them is bound to have a set of 4/156 hubs
  24. Counting threads was a starting point. Notice i told him to throw a straight edge on the rear sprocket face and see if it lines up with front sprocket. That is the only way to make sure it is on. Pull the rear tires off and get a measurment from the center of the outside of the rear axle to the lower a-arm mounting bolt on both sides. That measurement should be the same. If not, it has to be the swingarm or carrier or frame.
  25. Since you are in canada why not go with bill over at DTT. I havent' kept up on the auto world, but for a while he was the shit. I drove a couple of his trans and were very impressed. I have heard good stuff about goerend however.
