i have seen 5th gear pinion burn out on many trannies, when assemblying motor you can never be to anal on tranny lube ,i use royal purp assembly lube in everywhere grease the forks an slides.i cut alot of trannies and you woul;d be suprised how many shafts knurl over/jam/outta true
its actually an oddball size i have a snap-on an matco master set and its still not in there,i happen to have like 20 or better taps from kits i have installed hit me up with your address ill shoot it out
you need to tap a pulse line into the intake runner on the cylinder, the pump i used for a build was a 65l/hr black pump if i remmember the flow rate correctly. The carbs were pumper carbs set up with a diffrent seat assembly. There are plenty of people on here that run these and can give you more details.Someone dropped all the parts off and i installed them i beleive he ordered all his stuff from sudco
Im in the process of building a diffrent bar for dirt and a longer swinger,my shit got real violent in the ruts but that track seemed pretty well groomed compared to the shit i was runnin on
Make sure your buddy has a sync tool and warns the customer that everytime he pulls the choke he risks taking the carbs outta sync so be carefull,i have put those carbs on a few set-ups,you need a c series needle of sorts everyone seems to have luck with the cel,me not so much.As stated above 155-160 mains,52 pilot to start
I would think it would be same protocall as meth, power jet and you might have ti drill dumps out, bigger bowls, pingle, one of my boys co workers sais he does it on jet skis all day long 40% jet increase depending on motor but the seals in the motors need to be changed more frequently because they were not designed to take the abuse from the ethenal
nice runs bro,i run a wheelie bar very similar too yours and it twisted like a pretzel after catching in the ruts doing 300 dirt drag events,it was throwing me around like a rag doll. The next time i went back to asphault i noticed how fucked it was when i launched
When you star making power all the lil nonsense mods wont help at all, irun asphault mostly 1/4 tho.I would recommend a dunable 1-4 overide 5th 6th clutch for 1/4 .If your gonna run strictly 1/8 you can get away with a 1-5 overide hit me up if you have any questions
everyone is stuck on the CEL needle and the fact is on a real dragported cylinder those needles can be too lean .most dragported motors i build come in around 52-55 pilot, dek or dgh needle,170 main jet but you got an answer from the man that designed those ports so i would listen to him.start rich it wont hurt
numb 1 pj are an old design and have a few inherent problems in the idle /choke tube assembly, second if your port heights are not identical compression will be diffrent or a problem with assembly occured
LOL i build very few trail motors ,most are heavily ported drag motors that run the 1/4 everyone is intitled to their opinion, its not like i have one motor there are many with no issues
i beg to differ the old wsm pistons are junk but the new ones with the german rings are the shit, they are machined in germany to precision weights, are so much lighter ,have bigger port windows, boost port (helps oil wristpin) .I love wisecos too but for the price you cant beat em.They are forged and are in many motors rite now with no problems
