  1. Is that like Caltex Delo? Are you joking?
  2. Thanks to all
  3. Can someone please tell me who built after market chassis for banshees, I know Laegers well, but get confused with the whole 250R thing, I know it was a bike Honda built in the 80s, is this geometry copied and who did it? How many 250R chassis are out there, what does lonestar built. Who built frames for the banshees in the early days? (I am not talking about drag frames) Thanks
  4. Do you know what year model FZR1000 plates fits or are all the same? Thanks
  5. I am wondering how many RZ guys are here? How many of you are building one as we speak?
  6. I have to agree, stock radiators can do the job, but not where I live in Africa in the summer at 3/4 of throttle cross country, no way a stocker can keep me cool and there is nothing wrong with my cooling system or jetting...
  7. I use to old ones, have to drill and they fit a socket, but that looks nice with the guarantee.
  8. I'll go for the KTM525, if I had to choose a 450, the 2008 LTR.
  9. I am in South Africa, a bit far for flanges. They are really easy to make. Will see if I can get some photos.
  10. Welcome... and enjoy the 2-stroke!
  11. I know there are probably other solutions for a 2-stroke, but damn that tecnology sounds impressive, BUT can ONLY proof it self when going into production........ which is stuff that dreams are made of, but doubt that will happen..
  12. Can someone tell me what white gas is? Is it thinners? Paraffin? Thanks
  13. I know a lot will say that this will never happen, but check this out!!! http://www.supertwostroke.com/
  14. Hi dmc, it was me. I can send u the mag. Just give me your full postal adress. I am on holiday, browsing hq on my mobile phone, wil be online from the 6 Jan. Wil get all your details and send it to you.
  15. I love the look of the IMS long range tank. The bike looks so much meaner in my opinion, others hate them.
  16. I guess you did change the pulse mode for the tach? Its not very accurate yes, especially on high rpms, mine is ok though. I made a aluminum bracket for mine. I had lots of troubles with my vapor, speedo cables is the 3rd one, I used it just for temp anyways.
  17. If it's a few ml more like 50 or so , its ok, but to much is not good, with to much oil in your gearbox you will have hard time finding neutral and gear shifting is not so smooth as well, but thats with way to much oil. I get banshee with over 2000ml of oil when I service them, some people just top up for some weird reason.
  18. The temp sensor goes into the return line, the one that goes out of the cylinder head to the radiator. Use the magnet bolt, it works good and just dig into the harness under the tank, let the bike idles and take a voltmeter, search for a 8-12V supply when the bike idles, ground one wire. This Vapor is easy to install the power to, it works from 0.1-300V I think. You can tap 12 V from the regulator as well.
  19. In my opinion a builder or whom ever did the build, do not have a clue what they were doing, thats bad, If there is yamabond in the bearings but it did get oil and didn't turn colour, wash them out and they would be fine, depending on how much play they have.
  20. Make sure your float hight is 21mm and that the o'rings of the seats(of the needles) where the needle goes in is in good condition. If that is all good REPLACE the needle and seats. It is normal for the carb overflow to leak out some drops of fuel after some hard riding. If you stop it may spit out 2 or 3 drops, but it should not piss out.
  21. V-force 3 reeds claim 2hp through the entire powerband, I like them because of the throttle response, really works on low end power also.
  22. I was under the impression that a stock stroke 65mm cub runs with the same 65mm wiseco piston that one use in the oem cylinders, is this true or not? Can someone please confirm this for me. Thank You
  23. I think yamaha recommend 10W30, I use 20W50 with no problems, some even use gear oil. I wash most of my stuff with paraffin or a degreaser.
