  1. If this guy did the work right than it should just need a touch up on the ports. If he was a "hack" you might want to start over with new cylinders. the spacer plate will work but you might not see the performance that it is capable of.
  2. sounds like you have some plugged jets. pull your pilots and mains and run some small wire through them or torch tip cleaners.
  3. OOPS... I went out to superstitions over by seeley and never got a sticker. But I am from michigan and we just rode for 1 day. Damn winds and fires came through that day. In Mi you just pay 16.25 and you are all set for the year.
  4. Did you unplug the tors box next the coil?
  5. Did you split the case or just do a top end rebuild?
  6. It's pretty simple. you might want to use some loctite if you break the retaining tabs off the bolts.
  7. take your left tire off. pull the sprocket off. give it a little turn and it will pass the hub. pull it off the axle. it is simple when you dig into it.
  8. Cool head, billet impeller and an over sized aluminum radiator.
  9. Cool. Take your time and don't cheap out on important parts. Your life could depend on it. Keep us up dated...
  10. I agree. You are going to have replace your packing in your exhaust now. and it is gonna smell like burnt oil for a long time. Have you ever seen what burnt oil looks like on a roller bearing??? it gums it up and creates hot spots.
  11. it's a long post but it should help.... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...itting+the+case
  12. get a mighty vac at your major part store. pull the carbs off and put a small vacuum hose through the piston into the crank and pump the oil out. If you burn it out you load your silencer packing full of oil and after a while under heat could become flammable. Or you could pull the top end back off and stick rags in there to soak the oil up. When I did mine I dumped some Klotz in there. than soaked it up before install.
  13. I did mine this past spring Check your steering stop they like to bend and break. Now is the time to replace the swing arm bearings and chain slides. Front arm bushings. Lower steering shaft bearing. Good luck and have fun.
  14. I had to fix a hole in the case at the clutch pivot. and add a stroker crank  but I used the same pistons and rings (6yrs old)
  15. Pry Bar and a hammer. I have a good crank I am willing to part with.
  16. yep between the bearing and the impeller.
  17. I have been running it hard for the past 3 years with the washer in it. I had it apart this past spring and no other signs of wear.
  18. I have had the same set of Wiseco pistons in my engine for 6 years. No problems what so ever.
  19. graingers carries odd items like that or Enco will have them.
  20. It wasn't too bad but bad enough where I had to sand it down.
  21. I would shoot a little oil in the cylinders. Than try to rotate the engine over. How is the trans fluid level?
  22. I would rather run KY jelly in my bike than tc3. I have run klotz since I got the bike. 5 years after my first build and the only thing I had to do was an annual carb clean. I would keep boat oil for the boats.
  23. I had to put a thin stainless washer behind mine because it gouged the case.
  24. unplug that tors box by the coil and it should start up. Do a search for the complete tors removal. I would recommend taking it all off your bike.
