  1. I dint think I've got it all (performance) yet. I gotta tune it more, but so far it seems pretty strong. Did you read the link for the jetting ? See PM
  2. Not to be a smartass or anything, but.......... Wouldn't a shorter swinger help the wheelie thing (make it easier). I thought the majority of us put longer swingers so we can maximize the hookup of horsepower without big wheelies.
  3. MODQUAD, Looks like the ball is in your court. Seems to me that you should hook this guy up since you boast about zero defects. I'm sure there are a few others that would just buy another brand rather than complain to you about a small item like that. But you come here making those claims and guys that have had trouble in the past will probably surface.
  4. Just got back from Lil Sahara test riding the new setup. Along with the motor build I changed over to some Marvin Shaw coil overs. They were setup for 230 lb rider. I am 225 so I figured they would be good. These are some rock hard mofos. My forearms are about to fall off. Sore as hell right below the elbow. They need to be softened up alot. It seems to me that a couple grooves higher on the top of the coil would be good, but do any of you know how ? Thinking that compressing the coil may alow adjustment, but ????????????? Any help would be great. Also, I am using 35mm PWKs for the first time and OMG those springs are really stiff. In a couple months my right hand will prolly be twice the size of the left ! LOL I have some jetting ??s in the jetting and exhaust forum as well. jetting ??s Thanks for the help !
  5. It is really hard to compare other's carb settings for the same size carbs. Alot of things affect jetting. Elevation, temperature, and humidity make huge differences. Not to mention engine mods, pipes, dome size, air filters, etc.... It does sound like you are running pretty rich. Did you just put these carbs in ? Or have they been in there a while ? Is this problem new ?
  6. Ok. I just got the 4mil running and took it for a thrashing at Lil Sahara this weekend. It ran really strong for the most part, but there are still a few adjustments to make. Just not as strong as I thought it should be. It pulls hard on the pipe for 1-5 but will not stay on the pipe in 6th gear ? The few times I tried I was riding into a 10-15mph wind, but I'm not sure that much wind would cause that effect. I know my jetting is rich, but I guess I want some opinions from you guys whether it is so rich that it would cause it to be that weak. I did not do a plug chop (didn't have time) just set it rich, to be safe, and went. The plugs come out a tad wet and dark chocolate brown after a 20 min. ride and it smokes most of the time. My mods are as follows : 4mil crank. Stock Cylinders dune ported(mild according to Jim @ PRE). Custom Coolhead  with 20cc domes. CPI Inframe drag pipes. 35mm PWKs. K&N pods with Outerwears. Running VP110 with Ktotz Supertichniplate. I don't have compression numbers yet, will try to test it this week. Jetting: 45 pilot (still too rich-I got 3 turns on the screws and the idle speed screws most of the way in) 2nd deck (from blunt)on needle 160 main I bought the carbs with a jet kit. The carbs were preset with a 48 pilot, 160 main, deck 3, and 2 T/O. 45 was the smallest pilot in the kit and 160 is the smallest main, so I gotta get sum jets anyway.
  7. Well, Back from Lil Sahara. Really great trip. All bikes and riders back in one piece ! Monday was kickass. Most of the people were gone. We were sharing the dunes with 10 other riders at the most. It was windy, but the wind was smoothig over some really rough ruts and giving some fresh sand to cut. It was awesome. Shee ran pretty good. Alot more up top than previous motor, as expected. But I think I have some jetting issues holding it back. I'll post some ??s in the jetting and exhaust section. On another note, My brother came in from AZ with his new 700 Raptor and it is a really nice machine. He has a new Barker's dual exhaust, a K&N kit with lid removed, 8 paddle haulers, and a new Dynojet fuel programmer. That bike runs really well. (wishing i had fuel injection on the shee, that fuel programmer is THA SHIT !!!!) I'm still running my sand stars from my old setup so it takes me a couple gears to catch him after the start, but the shee pulls away on him at top of fourth and just continues to walk....... Anyway, mostly smiles from the weekend  Just gotta get the tuning figured out.
  8. Site not cooperating on the pics now. Here are some links. coolhead another coolhead almost there another almost done unfinished color scheme
  9. Finally got this 4mil running. I put a couple of heat cycles on it today and I'm ready to punish it ! Gonna take a couple daze off of work and head out to Lil Sahara and have sum fun ! Here are some pics. A couple of my own custom cool head, and the whole bike too. It isn't finished yet. Still working on the colors, but ran out of money and couldnt wait to ride it ! They arent the best cuz I took them with a phone, my digital cam is jacked up and I used all the money to buy parts for the shee................
  10. Congrats Greg ! Hey it seems like my kid was born yesterday too, but next year he'll be driving. How messed up is that ? Have lots of fun and take lots of pics. They grow up hella fast ! (And they keep lookin that cute forever..LOL). Best wishes to your family.
  11. So.......... Where can we get sum of that cinnamon oil stuff. I gotta try that !
  12. I have heard others complain about the fitment or their CPI Inframes but never understood until now. Just put on my pipes tonight and the fit sucks on the left side headpipe. Sum Bullshit. I'm gonna have to modify the hangers that came with them. Seems like there will be some stress on the pipe even after a little modification. Should I try to find some kind of rubber bushing at the mount to keep from cracking the pipes?
  13. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: That's sum funny shit !!
  14. Damn ladies.................... Always tryin to keep us away from the HQ ! :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  15. Ouch ! That couldn't have worked out well for them,
  16. Ok, so I'm building my motor. My first banshee so I'm going a little slow. All excited tho cuz things are looking good. I machined my own head and just got it torqued on. It fits great and really looks good. But.................while I was admiring the look of my creation I noticed a little baggie sitting on the foot of my engine stand. Checked it out cuz it didn't look empty. Much to my dismay................... a Fuckin circlip !!!!!! :wallbash: Yeah, go ahead, I said it too, WHAT AN IDIOT !! Oh well, it didn't take as long to fix as I thought it would.
  17. Anyone in the OKC area have a spare twist throttle cable that I can use (or buy) to break in my new build. I just got the new throttle kit, but they put the wrong cable in the kit. I am ordering one online and should have it by Wed. but I really need to get this thing started this weekend. Any help would be great ! Thanks.
  18. If those pistons were for a longrod, they would not be sticking out above the deck !!!! They would be below the deck by 5mm The wrist pin bore for a 5mm longrod is 5mm closer to the crown. There is something else going on there. And if he does try to use blaster pistons, they will not come up far enough in the bore. That picture he showed only looks loke 2mm over the deck. 5mm is .200 (almost 1/4 inch.) For some strange reason, someone must have milled the base of those cylinders. Or, there is a 4mil crank with stock rods in there. Why dont you measure the cylinder height from base to deck and I'll tell you if it is short. Like someone mentioned here earlier I would not use a base spacer. Get some domes cut for a 4mil stroke.
  19. I actually just had some jackass here in town quote 350 for just powder coat alone. He won't even sand blast, said he'd recommend someone that does good sandblasting. I decided to forget that project for now. I have no idea what powdercoating is worth, but I knew that sounded pretty high. I'm glad you guys are getting it so cheap. I guess I'll have to call around and look for better prices. Anyone in the OKC area know of a powder coater with decent prices ?
  20. I have a DID non o-ring chain and it stretched a ton. There were days out on the dunes that I adjusted it two-three times. I had to remove at least one link (that can remember). It is supposed to be rated to 8600 lbs tensile strength. I wonder about that. I'm gonna try an x-ring chain next time.
  21. Another option is adding power jets. Not too bad if you are already making mods or changing carbs. You can set your carbs in summer with them mostly closed and when it cools off you just open them up till your plugs read right. (Also, Dial-a jet kits would work.) Otherwise you will have to change the mains as mentioned above. Either way, when it cools off and you rejet you need to do a plug chop to check your jetting. Do a forum search on PLUG CHOP. That will explain how to properly jet the carbs.
  22. Thank You ! MarineNYC, Bansh-eman, and all of you other service men and women. I don't know how often you all are thanked for all you do for our country, but it can't be enough.
  23. Hey........... Why didn't you tell HIM to write shithead in the box like you told me ?????????
  24. Yeah, It's true, this place is really screwed up. Gotta spend alot of time avoiding flyin balls here. But I never expected to see it here. LOL Still no information on the length of a "shitgrip" ??
  25. You say you'd like more power ? You came to the right place........or not ? This is a real great group of guys, but you should've stayed the hell away from us. We are the sickest money burning group of speed needing fools around. :shoothead: You should just turn and run ! But you probably won't. Oh well, you can't say you havent been warned. Welcome to the group. Oh, and uh....break out that wallet !
