What mod can you do to the shift shaft? I'm thinkin bout gettin a modified star for Christmas b/c mine is hard as hell to shift sometimes, especially when it gets hot.

Ive seen some allen head bolts for the stator and clutch cover, but none for the fenders.

He's really just wanting the front shaft from the tranny. I'll talk to him and see what he says John.

Well I just watched the movie for the 1st time and I'd have to say it definately "raises" questions. It's crazy how he (the author) mixes reality with fiction, overall I loved the movie, now I need to read the book.

Need just the front shaft from the tranny with gears on it. Buddy has one that a gear got hot and was welded to it. Let me know if anyone's parting a tranny!

What's your elevation, riding temps, and air filter setup?

Check all the wiring. There could be one that is getting wet and grounding out and causing the rough running until it dries out.

In an attempt to make my clutch easier to pull w/o putting different springs in I'm going to scrap the stock clutch perch/lever. From what I've read on this site these 2 are the best for this option so I'm just wonderin if someone's got one they're tryin to sell. Thanks! David

Stock is 200 I believe, but sometimes dealers will rejet for elevation change. As for the fouling plugs have you checked to see if that side is getting a good spark? If not it could be your CDI, or possibly something wrong with the timing plate.

The blue is definately different, can't really say it looks terrible or amazing, just simple and unique.

I just read a post the other day saying you couldn't do it b/c it would freeze up the joints and ruin all the grease?

I've heard it can't be done because of the ball joints being welded in...so what does everyone do? Just paint them and put on alot of clearcoat? I'm worried about them getting trashed if they're just painted.

Sweet, well it's suppose to be 70 over Thanksgiving break so I'm not gonna rejet for that, but we're planning a LS trip over Christmas and it might be down in the 40's then I would guess. I would assume 1 size on the main would probably do good for that. I'll be sure the jetting is on now, but I assume it's close seeing as I have ridden it quite a bit and it runs hard and I haven't had any problems.

I've got T-5's with K&N pods and the summer temps we ride at is probably 95 and the winter temps range from 40-70 (Oklahoma weather...). My elevation is around 1500 I believe. I'm runnin stock pilots, but I have some 27.5's that I think i'm going to swap in. My mains are some old 280's drilled out to around 320, and it runs great. I'm gonna do a plug chop 1st to check the mains. I'm not really sure where I should be on the air screw (never adjusted) and the needle tho.

What lever did you end up going with? Im in the same boat as you, I hate the stocker, i'm lookin at ASV or possibly the shorty...

If it's bogging in that throttle area I would think your jetting would be off. Not sure if it would be pilot or needle tho. What is your jetting at now?

Did you rejet when you put the pipes on?
