  1. I was just there and I remember it was somewhere around $6-$7 there also.
  2. Yeah that's what I've heard. I figured I'd just get it ported while I had the head off for the rebuild. I live near KS too so I thought either F.A.S.T. would be good or Passion motors up in Tulsa. I'll still be running everything else stock just with a port (most likely dune port since that's really only when I'll be doing serious "drag racing").
  3. Yeah I plan on doin a rebuild/port job sometime over Christmas break most likely. My buddy had his banshee out there w/ the same mods as mine (he already has the timing plate and 19cc domes) and was outrunning 2 piped 700's and 1 yfz450 so I was fairly impressed with that.
  4. I've got dual K&N's, T-5's, and some FMF reeds (that's what the guy told me I got them from), 13t up front and 42t out back, will have timing plate and .30 over milled head. Carbs are stock, swinger is stock.
  5. I do need to do a plug chop just to see where I'm at there. I was running about 5 psi this time while running but last month I was only running 2 1/2 psi and both were on pretty soft sand. On this most recent trip the sand was alot more wind-blown so I bet it was softer and just robbing that little bit of power. I have a timing plate and milled head on the way so maybe that'll give me that little bit back that I'm missin. I was also running some sand-skate II v-blades and they did good in the trails and turning and on the dunes but for the dragging I was just spinnin the shit out of them. What size haulers or other tire would be good? I was thinking a 20x10x8 8 or 10 paddle hauler?
  6. Like the topic says, I was at the dunes yesterday doing some dragging and it seemed when I hit the top of 5th gear it would start to bog. It was no more then a month ago that I was riding in the sand, complete same setup except I went up 1 tooth on my rear sprocket, and while drag racing didn't have any bogging. I did go to a slightly smaller K&N pod setup but wouldn't think that would affect it. It runs very strong in all the other gears and doesn't cut out. I was thinking maybe jetting was too rich but shouldn't it affect all the gears?
  7. Hey man I've got a few ideas on some stickers for a couple of us that ride together, You wanna PM me with some details to a website or something or what?
  8. I just put some loctite on mine when I noticed they had started to loosen up.
  9. I agree with easy. On the other note, you could try using some Scotch Guard on them.
  10. Well awesome, looks like there'll be a bunch of HQ guys there. Our plans have changed a little bit and we're only gonna be there Saturday, but should be there all day. We'll just be parking somewhere in day parking.
  11. You may need to get some of the K&N's that are angled so you'd be able to route them away from the pipes.
  12. Yeah that was a cool little area down there. I think it'd be alot better if that had some kind of event and actually groomed it and marked it off and what not. I still had my 400ex when I went and we did some trail riding and I got tired of having to use the clutch so much with it, I can't imagine what it'd be like with the shee there ::

Hmm. PM DriverDoyle, I know he had some 8 paddle haulers and is planning on getting some 10 or 12 blades but I'm not sure he's sellin the 8's.
  14. I'll be out there w/ 1 other shee. We're both runnin stockers but I only weight 135 lbs. so it's surprisingly quick. Last time out I was kickin ass on the holeshot too so I'll defiantely be doin some draggin. Tell them to look out for a yellow shee with a skinny kid on it and a blue shee and blue warrior.
  15. Last time I went out I had 13/41 and am running sand skate II v-blades. I did some draggin and was kickin ass on the holeshot. I also only weight 135 so that helps me out a bit
  16. I need the crossover tube and might as well get the intake's with it. No idea how much they're worth. I've got the stupid ass Boost bottle right now. How is 20 shipped sound?
  17. You can also adjust the throttle cable at the "housing." Mine was doing this same thing and I just adjusted the cable out some.
  18. I'll be there this weekend with some buddies from Duncan (So. Oklahoma). I know of a few more HQ'ers that will be there this weekend.

    Where are you located?
  20. So you're wanting more top-end but aren't wanting to use 6th gear???

Look in the for sale section for ZillaRider. I know he had some for sale but not sure they're still up.
  22. Yeah but you CAN compress some "car" shocks by hand, the same you can do with off-road ones. If you're planning on doing alot of jumping finding some old car shocks that are semi-worn out might work. Oh and Rocky Ridge sucks nuts.....I hate that place ::
  23. Hmm we did the screwdriver trick on my buddy's blaster and shee. Guess we got lucky not breakin anything.
  24. That's a helluva deal, i'm sure someone'll pick that up quick.
  25. I've got the same setup but with K&N pods and I'm running a 320. I'd say since you're keeping the airbox maybe a 300 and see what that does. Be sure to do a plug check to make absolutely sure though.
