  1. I'd say start with a 280 main, and put the stock 25 pilot back in, then do a plug chop and go from there.
  2. Get rid of the TORS shit first off, if you haven't already, then buy a synchronizing tool. Don't try and eyeball it just go get one. Jeff at F.A.S.T sells them. Have you checked the compression lately?
  3. Alright, in 4 or 5 months, I will be rebuilding my motor. You can see the mods I have now. I ride the dunes about 2 to 3 times a year, and some trails. I want something I can take to the dunes a run the fuck out of it racing in drags, but I also want something to ride through some trails with reliability. I have thought about a 4 mil. build, and have some porting done. What do you guys think my best build would be for my style of riding? Thanks for any info.
  4. I'm sure I'll catch hell for not knowing but what is the RZ, was that the motors from the old streetbikes or what?
  5. On stock carbs, I'd say it would be pretty tough. Maybe if you pulled the tops off and rotated them around. Never have tried it though.
  6. When I first got mine it did that, kinda make a noise like a big blast of air came out. It was a dirty carb, I cleaned it an it has been fine.
  7. Is there any comparison between the raptor 660 and the 700?
  8. Checked mine just a little bit ago after about three full throttle runs down the road, 186 degrees by the cylinder and 118 degrees right by my leg. I have no bluing on the pipes. This is just after I shut it down.
  9. The domes are interchangable, they have a number engraved on the side which is the cc's. So far mine has been very reliable with the mods I have. Not to sure on the stator deal, but whatever broke, i'd replace it with new instead of messing with it. That could be the start of an unreliable ride. Fix it right the first time and you won't have to deal with the hassle if you are out in the woods or the middle of the dunes somewhere.
  10. Mine doesn't get real hot, don't get me wrong but they will burn if you lay your hand on them, checking with a guage I think they were around 110- 125 degrees. I can't remember for sure. I know the chrome will affect the reading also. As long as you plugs and everything look good and your not overheating, keep on running.
  11. It sounds like the parking brake switch to me. Did you mess with it also?
  12. Running 32:1 Klotz supertechniplate. 280 mains, if you are a little rich that's okay, as long as you're not fouling plugs out. I'd say ride it a little bit and see if they foul. If they do maybe drop a size on your main and do a plug chop again. Mine has a little oil on the ends of the pipes also. I'm at about 1000ft above sea level. Just my 2 cents.
  13. I have 20's in mine, and that put me at 150 psi on each cylinder. Once I rebuild I will probably have to run 21's or start mixing gas. I'm at 1000ft roughly. I got the F.A.S.T racing coolhead made by NOSS. It looks great also. Putting 20's in mine I went from 125psi to 150psi. Made one hell of a difference in my opinion. I also run 280 mains in mine.
  14. I'd just wait until you can get the original style gasket. That would be best I think, maybe the brake fluid is eating at the gasket material. Not to sure but the stock gasket is probably more of a rubber type gasket.
  15. I'm at about a 1000 ft, with my mods I still run the 25's and lowend is great. I also synchronized my carbs with the tool. I'd put the 25's in it and go with that.
  16. I know every 4 wheeler is different, but look at my mods and I'm still running the stock 25 pilots. I think your pilot is still a little big. Also what is your compression and elevation? As for the smoking, are you air screws turned out the same? Mine did that when I first got it and it was a dirty carb.
  17. I have used a thin layer of silicone around the bead before.
  18. Shorten your chain up a little more if it is adjusted all the way back. Put a little loctite on the nuts if they are backing off.
  19. Who the hell has time to look at a tach. LOL. I'd be all fucked up and wrapped around something if I even thought about looking at a tach. :yelrotflmao:
  20. Oil for the premix, or the transmission? I use gear saver 80w for the trans and clutch. Then I use klotz supertechniplate for the premix, smells good too
  21. ITP's on Kenda Knarly's rear, stock front tires.
  22. I hope you mean 27.5 pilots, not 37.5. I think you'd be fine with the stock 25 pilots, did you do the plug chop yet? If not do one. I takes a little bit of time to mess with but it's worth it. I think I went through about 12 plugs before I was happy with mine. Also, sychronize the carbs. I know a lot of people don't believe in the sync. tool, but I have one and it is a lot easier to get the carbs. right. It also makes a lot of difference in the low end I think. I was off one number on the guage and my lowend kinda sucked I thought. I sychronized the carbs one more time and got it right on and it made a difference. Just my .02
  23. I'd say your mains are too small, but you should do a plug chop and see what you really have there. Especially if it is on the last slot on the needle.
