  1. You won't see me doing that shit either, I'm not that damn redneck!!!!!! This is my first year down there, I'm going for the dunes, not the snakes.  To see more go to waynoka.com
  2. Thanks for the replies, just going off the cylinders measurement they were still ok, not to sure on the pistons though, I couldn't get a very accurate reading with the cylinders on it. I looked in the cylinders and they both have the cross hatches in them. The pistons, just looking from the intake and exhaust ports didn't have much wear on them. I know that isn't the way to tell though. Possibly just a little wore rings ya think? I don't really have the time to tear it down right now because I'm building a house and I'm going to LS for Rattlesnake hunt, but I'd like the motor to last atleast that long.
  3. Thanks guys, I checked the compression before I added the 20cc domes and it was 110. After adding the 20 cc domes it is now 150 each cylinder.
  4. Just like the title says, I am kind of wondering how much time I have before a skirt decides to give way. My mods are below. Should I expect them to last a while or not. Stock pistons just worry me when I start adding mods, and I'd like to know if anyone has had any troubles with the stock ones breaking a skirt very often. Thanks for any input
  5. Right around 1000ft.
  6. Actually I ran the hell out of it, pretty much the whole time.
  7. What is wrong with it?
  8. I had the plug chop pics the other day, you replied. I also have no airbox lid K&N and pro flow adapter. Thanks
  9. I got my T5's, V Force 3's, cool head with 20cc domes, +4 timing advance. I pulled the plugs after a little riding time and they are a little black. They aren't wet but the ceramic is totally black, should I leave it or should I tinker a little bit? 280 mains, 4th clip, stock pilots, and 1-1/4 turns out on the screw. It runs great but just wondering if I would gain anything out of it going a little leaner than it is. I also don't want to be changing fouled plugs all the time either. Thanks for any input.
  10. I just installed a cool head with 20cc domes and mine are 150 on both cylinders, stock bore.
  11. No, it runs awesome all the way through now. Never studders or anything just keeps on pullin. Thanks
  12. Ok, I synchronized the carbs again, took the air screws to 1-1/4 out. Has great throttle response now. I just need to know if I am for sure safe on the top end with plug chop pics. What do you guys think?
  13. I counted from the grooved end down, needle pointing in the down position. 4th clip just like toomey's paper said.
  14. I also noticed it is a little slow on the throttle response on the bottom end, is that something I can get rid of with the mixture screws? Thanks
  15. Here is my plug chop. I have T5's, V force 3, no air box lid, FAST Racing cool head 20cc domes, and TORS removed. 280 mains, 4th slot on needle, and 2 turns out on the air screw. What do you guys recommend or is it ok? Thanks for any input.
  16. I torqued mine down to 7ft.lbs., never had a problem. Just because I wanted to go by the book though.
  17. You don't have to split your cases to change the seal out.
  18. Glad to see you won, I work with a guy that just bought a new 05 450R out of the crate. He was cocky till he found out I ordered all the parts for my banshee. I 'm ready to race him. Kinda the same deal for me too.
  19. I like the top shirt also.
  20. They are shorter and steeper, there aren't any very long climbs really.
  21. The terrain is pretty smooth, lots of open areas, and also a lot of trails back in the trees. I will be straight line racing a little bit and a lot duning. The wind blows so hard out there that it doesn't take long to smooth back up the ruts from everyone else.
  22. Anybody else?
  23. Okay, I am wondering what would be the best tire and gearing for me. I have these parts ordered and will be putting them on my 99 banshee. V-force 3's, toomey T-5's, F.A.S.T racing coolhead w/20cc domes. +4 timing advance and that is about it. I need to know what would be the best size and kind of tire to run. I currently have a 13 tooth sprocket and ran sand skate II's last year at LS. Ok. Just didnt' seem like it hooked up good with that setup. Back then it was all stock. My weight is 170 lbs. Thanks for any input.
  24. Thanks a lot!
  25. Just wondering what the torque spec is on the flywheel and the sprocket nut. I don't have a book yet. Thanks 1999 Banshee.
