  1. sotck is normally around 120-135.... you should be fine with 110 as long as both side are close.
  2. the only way that could be possible was that someone before you removed it and put a solid peice in there. it has to have something in the center that the ball and rod pushes against to push the pressure plate off the plate or you couldnt use your clutch. snap a picture and load it to www.imageshack.us
  3. it shouldnt cause the thing to not get spark but if it was fine before pugging it in un do it and see if it fixes its self. If you have time you could cut all the TORS crap off and cleanup your harness alot!
  4. yea thats from TORS... if infact your TORS is removed then they are not needed.
  5. sorry i cant see the pict on a gov computer, you have to upload it to www.imageshack.us for me to see picts on this computer for some reason
  6. Kiel, Matt uses a good chromer now. So the chrome isnt as bad as before... althought he still hasnt fixed the left pipe thing the stingers fit much better over the pods! a guy i used to ride with had a ported stocker with CPI and it ran good, he sold them and got a set of Shearers and it ran quite a bit harder, although liek said it was a topend differnace.
  7. i dont think he disconnected the TORS, i think it was already disconnected.
  8. i think this is a repost but its still funny
  9. and for a drag racer thats the info he would liek to know. to a mxer or a woods rider they could careless what a DM is or what drag races are close to thier area. and vice versa for a drag racer hearing about mx gear. It's just a simple differance in whats fun and helpful to one isnt always fun and helpful to another. yes alot of the top builder are over there, how ever they are the top builders for DRAG racing not for mx racing or many other types of racing that quads are used for. i didnt see you say anyting about liking 4x4 but either way its still a diferance of what fun and usfull to someone. Differance between a hotrod and a jacked up diesel both are fun but whats the use of info about a hotrod to a guy building something 100% differant. sure the basic info remains the same about alot of it but its not tailored to his needs.
  10. ok then start at the staor, yo need to check and make sure all your connections are plug in all the way and use a multimeter to check if its sending/reciveing power. always start at the source. check the staor if its got power check the cdi, if its got power check the coil, if its got power check the plug caps. somewhere along the way your loosing the power and your not getting a spark. make sure your grounds are good as well
  11. the same could be said for drag racing, wow whats so fun about going in a stright line for a few secs??? although i enjoy both. it just seem the both of you are ignorant to the others idea of fun. but to each his own
  12. when you kick it over with the plugs out you have to kick it over hard like your trying to start it not just turn it by hand... you did this right?
  13. pull your plugs out and pop them in the caps. lay it on the side of the motor and kick it over, you will see it spark. make sure you have the other cap either off or you can pull both plugs and check them at the same time.
  14. that plug is probly left over from when you had the TORS, its fine as long as you have the TORS eliminated. The first thing you should check is that your getting spark. once you do that let us know then we can start tracking it down edit: remember to always start at the most obviose. theres nothing worse then getting into a bunch of crap that was not needed becasue your spark plug cap wasnt seated all the way.
  15. its possible that the vent hose has alot of dirt or something on the other one. the inside of the case is just a small opening that has a hole about the size of a dime that allows the pressure to vent and thats where the fluid gets up there at is through that hole when you tip the bike up
  16. is that 10 times with 25min each or 25mins total? if thats 25 mins each time its very possible its done. basically the FRZ fibers just have more surface area on them to hold the power, and they grip better. If your clutch does slip they can standup to the wear for longer then banshee plates. They are the same thing as far as demintions go, just buy the plates and replace thm. They come off of a 1987 yamaha street bike part number 4H7-16321-01-00 8.80 each
  17. not nessessarly... how long have you rode it with it slipping? it is possible that they are fine if you didnt ride the piss out of it. if they have a hard glossy look then they are done. get your self a set of digital calipers and when you take the plates off messure how think they are also. if they got toasted, go buy your self a set of FZR 1000 Fibers and use them. that clutch will last for several years to come
  18. yea they should fit, but i sold mine.
  19. you probly didnt readjust your clucth when you pout in the new plates did you? if you replaced your old fibers then the new one will have more surface on them and this will casue the clutch to slip. you need to make your adjustment at the adjuster thats in the center of the pressure plate.
  20. Wallace, Do your self a favor and go wirte down everything you have for sale, type it up in a word doc and make your post, add picts and everything. Before you hit to post it make a copy of the post and paste that in the doc as well. then as you sell things you can just erase it and the link to the pict. that way as you make new posts you have all the info already there and you just copy paste it and your done. Makes it alot easier to keep track of things.
  21. i am on two other sites that have probly close to double the active traffic and active users as planetsand and they as well are completly free, you can donate if you wish to but it is not asked. http://www.dieseltruckresource.com http://www.pbnation.com/ i just checked and DTR has 1094 online and PBN has 1591 online. and thats at 9 am on a thursday
  22. i want to test the differance in spark energy from a stock coil to after market coils. i would like too see if the nology or msd or dyna coils actually do deliver a better spark.
  23. dust covers sold Bump
  24. what kind of pipes? performance pipes donest mean much, also what porting do you have?
  25. that is just a vent to your tranny. its going to leak fluid if you stand the bike up too far.
