  1. well if you can manage to bend a chromoly a arm by rolling or jumping yout bike , i got to hand it to you. your a stud. cause chromoly is no joke.
  2. I have a set of the Wicked arms, they are awsome. And Tim is very ez to work with. I was able to get mine for 350 when he had them forsale. 525 is a bit steep but they are good arms. I'd say save the money and get the wickeds. I'm not a fan of paying for the names when you can spend that money on more parts.
  3. Give Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing a call. He will setup you up with a good job and a very reasonable price. His turn around is great! pm him on here KEVSWS6 let him know i recommended you, he will take good care of you
  4. idealy you want around 40 thous
  5. to check your squish get a peice of solidering (sp?) wire and make a small bend at a 90 degree angle. insert it into the dome through the spark plug hole and put the wire where the pin slide through the piston. You dont want it over the intake or exhaust ports, because the piston can rock giving you a false reading. so insert it to the left or right. turn the motor over and the pistion will squish the wire. pull it out and messure the wire with a digital caliper and post the results
  6. if your adjusted too far out it will cause you to slip, make sure its adjusted properly. when you pull your fibers if they have a hard gloosy haze on them then you fried them.
  7. are you sure that the coolant is being turned through the system? if your rad had anti-freeze in it and the bike sat for a long period of time it is possible that it gummed up and your coolant isnt flowing very well. It is possible to warp the head being its aluminum, but temps really have to be up there to do that. have you checked the squish? normally when your squish is too tight it will cause the orings to pop out of place.
  8. Mark, 90% of the places doing Anodizing these day don't use to old school method that the metal actually takes on the new color. most of them are a simple dye thats got a sealant covering them.
  9. indeed i do... pm sent
  10. they did its called afert markets arms with ball joints
  11. yea i know what you mean. the very first time i took my motor apart i was so freakin worried it would never run again lol
  12. theshee is saying rather then using sand or beads you use ground up walnuts as your agent it will strip the paint without pitting the metal
  13. its not like paint, if the metal gets dinged or scratch it will show the raw metal under it but its nothing like paint. we use it on paintball guns and barrels
  14. i found this online for it, i know anodized metals cant be removed like paint becsue its a TOTALLY differant process that makes metal takes on the color. "There are 2 way to accomplish the removal of the anodic coating from aluminum depending on the surface you want to end up with. A NaOH etch solution will remove the coating but will etch the surface leaving a diffuse (matte) appearance. The chromic acid/phosphoric acid solution used in the Acid Dissolution Test ASTM - 137 will remove the anodic coating without affecting the underlying surface. The composition of that bath is 80 grams of chromic acid in 3.5 liters of water, add 140 ml of 85% phosphoric acid, add water to make 4 liters. The bath is operated at 190 - 200 deg. F. Immerse the part for 15 minutes and then rinse well in water." i also read that over cleaner may do it. Anodizing is no joke. do you plan to re ano it?
