i 100% agree Brandon. i have been trying for a while now to get an admin or mod to colect a series of posts and compile them into one or a few posts that are related and pin them to the top and have them locked so they cant get gummedup by un-needed responses. It would take a little work but in the end it would be WELL worth it. use www.imageshack.us to host all the picts as they NEVER delete them so the post will always work. even the pinned topics we have now need to be cleaned up

the more a server has stored that it processes absolutly slows it down, I do system admin at work and this is exactly why we dont have multipul files for the same shit. it uses bandwith and more importantly storage space. when you open the general forum and it has to search the system for 700 pages and load the lnks to them it takes more time for the server to process the info

why should i retype thesme info that i just typed 3 days prior? you can use the search and find the fuking info without wasting the space on the server for the same bullhit posts. Yes we dont mind helping guys out here but god damn how mny fuking times does the boost bottle , reed spacers , cubs on trails, and other posts that get covered at least twice a month need to be redone? the new search sucks compared to the old one yes, but it still fuking works. its like you want to be lazy and just have other guys waste their time to retype the same bullshit. spend a little time and fuking search for it.

actually dave the advanced search has changed. it is MUCH less user friendly. i have posted to Lee about bringing back the old one but didnt hear anything back

If you want to submit dont post your work in this post... just say your working on a logo... once i see if we got a few guys doing it i will start a new thread that is for SUBMISSIONS ONLY then i will copy them all down and make a poll thread so we can vote on them. once we determine a winner i will work on the rest of the info then

yea absolutly. we actually have shirts and hoodies made for our students... obviously they will cost more. I asked the guys here and they said they pay like 12 bucks for a shirt and 20 for a hoddie, so if i am able to get the same prices i would probly sell the shirt for 15 and hoodies for 25 and then tack on a few bucks for shipping that way we are able to make a profit. The inital cost will be a little higher for the simple fact that we have to pay for the screen but if we get enough interest we should be able to make a few bucks. Even if its not enough to get some narley upgrades to the bike it would still be more money to cover the shipping or and more to the donation in the HQ's name. I would like to see some pretty kickass logos with some good colors. Not just your run of the mill BHQ blask and white shirt. Lets try to get something that standsout so when your wearing it in the dunes everyone knows where you live.

I was thinking about having a contest to have a new BHQ tshirt made up. My idea was to have our members design a new logo front and back for a new tshirt that I can have made. I will collect all submitions and we can vote on our favorite one. The winner gets a free Premium membership and his logo gets printed on our new BHQ tshirt. I can have the shirt made for a pretty good price by a place we use for my work. I would then like to collect money and sell some shirts where the profits would go to buying more bling for the BHQ build off. So where we have a stock staor cover we could buy a new bilet cover or what ever the case is. In the end i think this would help to generate more funds to build a nicer bike which would inturn make more members want to get onboard and donate. Let me know what you guys think. If we get a good response i will get some prices for shirts. Edit: The idea behind this is that we can kill 3 bird with one stone. We get more people interested in wanting the BHQ build bike, while we also generate more funds for the site to help it grow and to maintain what we have, and also take care of the ever long question of a new BHQ shirt.

That wouldnt be a bad idea as well. I just think that pinning them at the top of thier respective forum would be better, that way if its a jetting faq then its at the top of the jetting forum. it would take a little longer to setup but in the end i think it would workout better

well we sort of do, the problem is if you want to lock that many post you have to scroll down for three mins just to get the new posts. I tried to tell Lee that we needed to have a clean up done and have one person preferably a admin or mod collect alll the usual posts and turn them into one big post or maybe a few medium size posts that are brokn into ez to find sections and pin to the top of the forum, then lock those posts so that you dont have to worry about 700 people leaving useless posts saying thanks you or whatever. just a heres the info and lockit.. but nothing ever came about .

This is a stupid post in its self. There is a reason the search botton is there. to find topics that have already been covered. How many "is a boost bottle worth it" posts do we need? do a simple search and you will find your post with many replys to cover the topic. It's repetitive posts that clog up the servers and bog them down, we could come near loosing 1/3 of the posts to multipul thread of the same topic and still have all the info ever needed to sustain the info desired.

so your idea doesnt really make much sense. if the topic has been covered and it's fairly well known if a product is crap or not, then why would it matter that one or two guys have either the same or differant feedback over a 4 month span. if you get several hits each with multipul post saying the same thing that should turn on a lightbulb tht you might want to steer in a differant direction

oh your not talking about the bot that hold it to the mount but the one that screw through the caliper... they could make it but it wouldnt be cheap. just buy a caliper off ebay, or talk to Jon ( NYUK ) he would have all that shit
