  1. Nope I wont be out there, my sons first birthday... Wife would skin me alive! I got it back going but I need to get it tune still... I havent got a chance to do anything with it sense Pismo. Still working out this BS with the military trying to send me to Okinawa without my family. So until everything is buttoned up with thaqt I got other things to be doing besides playing.
  2. it doesnt hurt to run high octane, but there is no gain to running more then what is needed.
  3. yup, the clymers shows you every single step. tells you the torque specs and everything
  4. Search Search Search.... It reduces angle and improves reliability
  5. Go buy your self a Clymer
  6. It has been covered a million times, it does nothing. It's a gimmick, just tears your rubber intake boots and causes a leak.
  7. Camping at gekco with quads sucks. If your riding a rail then its no big deal but all the good hills are so far away that if you have much motor work you will run out of gas before you get there. Camp the Washes, go to like wash 15 and its smooth sailing to anywhere in the dunes, plus there wont be abunch of idiots riding through your camp in the middle of the night
  8. cut a few coils out and buy your self a mod quad extended billet thumb throttle
  9. there are so many variances. On my cub with 20cc domes i had 185 psi and 40 thous squish, I sent it to be drag ported by K&T and no have 18cc domes and 42 thou squish and my comp is 165... dont try and ball park it based off someone elses motor, get a tester and check it. differant piston and dome angle will make a differance. not somthing that your going to be able to make a calculated guess just basing a few general numbers off of.
  10. any billet intake ta gets ird of your cross over tube. All the companies are pretty much identical. Boss White Knuckle ModQuad Chariot Vitos The list goes on and on, They all do the same thing. Nothing special to them like a car intake
  11. Bingo! For a kid that is undecided the PW is the way to go. once they are into riding then drop the money of a KTM. you can pickup a used PW50 for near nothing. hell a brand new one of last years modle is only like 750 bucks
  12. i am assuming stock porting? With a set of 28's your probly looking at 150 mains 45 pilot CEL Needle middle clip 2.5 turns on air screw... Your main and pilot may need to change + or - one size i either direction. I want to say that keihen jets go in increments of 5
  13. list all the mods, the elevation and temps that you will b riding at and we will be able to get you close
  14. It's all going to be biased off who had what, I had some Wicked and they were built very well! I am partial to them. Just give both of them a call and see who you get the best respones out of. I know that in the past ASR had alot of problem, but I havent heard much recently about any.
  15. how much juice is the stock voltage reg able to withstand?
  16. Why would it be took much to run through the switch if they were not running together? Would it make any differance that he wants one set on the high beam circut and one on low?
  17. You would need to splice into your auxiliary power so you can get juice to both sets of lights independently, I am no electrican so I can't say if it would cause issues.
  18. i suppose you could, but if you have fresh orings there isnt really a need. I know on the Noss heads sometimes you need to add a little rtv to the studs and the head nuts so they dont leak but thats it
  19. either you have TINY domes or your compression tester isnt accurate more then likely. 215 psi is very high! Most guys run from 160-185ish...
  20. I always get this backwards, shouldnt it get tighter when there is no wieght on it, not looser? What you can do is use a rachet strap and pull the ass end down and then adjust the chain like that. I just get it nice a snug wit no one on it and its always been fine.
  21. the VIN should always be located on the lower frame rail on the left side (as sitting on it) in plain view. Like already said, it you dont see it, it was either taken off or might have been powder coated over.
  22. http://forums.atvdragracers.com/index.php?showtopic=1482
  23. repack your silencers, and dont run it so rich
  24. I buy my trans oil (ATF Type F) and the oil for my Diesel (Rotella-T) from Wal-Mart runs fine. Nothing wrong with either of them
