If it ran rich on 116 a 120 is going to be like pouring a bucket down the motor, but like dave said thats probly the differance in Keihens and Miks... I bought a CDI off ebay and i couldnt get it to start with the stock CDI in my drive way. Then when we got to Pismo Beau gave me his stocker to try and it did the same thing. but i put the dyna back on and it started up first kick.... I was at 4 but that first day that we went to camp and i was playing with the fuel lines i bumped it to 7 I started out of 4 on the plate and stock on the dyna, then after we made the jetting changes i ran out of options becasue the broken main. so i started bumping the timing on the dyna and it ran better each time. but it still wasnt runnign right. Also I noticed that i wasnt getting hardly any smoke out the pipes like most alky bikes. but it wasnt lean. I could hold my hand out and it woud be covered in raw fuel

not if their only 1 calorie each... oh man that was gross lol

put her, taylor swift, and carrie underwood all on that lable and i would never leave the house

+7 on plate and on curve 3 165 psi after a few passes there was really no ring. no heat sig on the band, no timing mark on the strap plugs are gapped to 21 i want to say, it's been a few months so i might be a little off... pickup is 18 when i put beaus stock cdi on it wouldnt start, put my dyna back on and it fired right up.

heres another one for you dave, not that it will matter with my bike being 10k miles away but it has been bothering me ever since I rode it in Pismo and couldnt get it runnign right... I got the carbs fro K&T and they were PIG rich with 116. Jugs barley getting any heat. Tryed messing with mains and dumps and just t be safe went up to 118 to make sure it was in fact rich. like i thought it was, so i went to drop it 116 and the main broke in haf at the threads. So I ended up having to put a 117 and a leaner needle. It ran a tiny bit better. at this point we had no other options. I started cranking up the timing on my dyna and it got better. But it would cut out on top end. Plugs didnt show any heat. I am assuming that when you are rich and you bump the timing it makes it run better correct? If my assumption is correct I need to drop to 115 mains and dumps with the leaner needle and drop my timing back and start over... what you think? I would like to just get it dyno tu ed but I have not the slightest clue where there is an atv dyno in Tx.

I cant remember off the top of my head right now but for some reason I want to say that there are two larger ones for the crank??? one for each bearing? But I might be wrong, it's been a little while. then the clips that go on the tranny. Just look at the case halfs, if it has the trench cut out for a c clip then it takes one half of the proper size. You want to try and get one half of the clip on the top case half and one half of it on the bottom case half if possible.
-
if you look at his site, most of his stuff is drawnout that way he can tie them in and start spoutin out random shit. He has alot of funny stuff like this.
-
what cir-clips are you talking about? The c shaped keepers that go on the crank bearings? If so you only have one for each. they do not go all the way around the bearing. Half of the c on bottom end half on top if you can.

The Jap's learned about Black dudes, so your not going to be so "huge" anymore
-
I'm sure you have read it before, hell I think you might have even asked me what I did before. Nope no career, thats why I am in Japan for my last year without my wife and kid. Getting out after 8 years, been fun, learned alot, but it's time to move on.

Oh absolutely, a manual is more fun hands down. But the argument that a manual will perform better is false and misleading. Let

Pancake bearing for clutch
Bansh-eman replied to Misssppelllleddd's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I can tell you right now that with the Hinson 8 Plate and the cascade pancake you will not be able to adjust your clutch and have enough threads to tighten the nut down. You do not have a long enough set screw. I purchased 5 extra set screws when I got mine, but I am not longer in the states so I can't send you one of my extras. What you will need to do is pull the set screw out and take it to a fastener specialty store like Fastnal or Grainger. Have them sell you a few set screws longer then that one. I don't remember the length off the top of my head but I'm sure you can figure it out. They have a tool to messure the screws diameter and thread pitch. Make sure its the hardened metal. They will be black and look indentical to the set screw with the pusher, only differance will be the length. It's a metric screw so if they try to sell you a standard size it is incorrect. -
checkout Fastnerguy's kits. Once Alloyz sold the company a few years back the kits havent been the same. I myslef and many other have the Fastenerguys kits and have had no problems. I have had a few bolts get the threads jackedup and the dude is cool about sending you replacments. He wont even charge you, he will just ship them out.

Everyone is on the manule bandwagon from back in the days. You can get some many differant things for an auto that will make it shift smoother and faster then a manule today it's insane. Plus the fact of utilizing line locks, transbrake, stalls, efi/ignition controllers, ect it's very hard to beat an auto these days.

my wife just found a flag place online and had them mailed to our house, then I took them off the little wooden stick they had them on and secured them to my whip.
-
it probly will not hurt the tranny but i went ahead and got the tool to hold the inner hub. I have never toruqed tat nut, i just red locktite it and tighten it down. 66 ft lbs is alot, you dont have much to worry about as long as the threads dont get crossed. Between the locktite and the tab on the washer that thing isnt going anywhere
-
i didnt read your sig to see how much power your bike has as far as the lockup goes, but when I put in my 8 plate i noticed that i could no longer use the arrows to adjust my clutch. What i do to adjust it is: pull the springs and bolts, loosen the adjuster and turn the screw all the way out. Put the pressure plate on and start turning the screw in until you feel it hit the ball and rod. Then backoff the screw about 1/4 turn. bolt everythign back up and give it a shot. Make sure your lever is turned all the way in and that your cable isnt old as shit.

yes it is possible without having the fancy tool. Snop is simply making the point that by not doing it the way he has that the wires are not sealed to water and other elements. So you run the chance that water gets in there and messes somethingup. the stuff he used was lets say for the lack of better words, the perfectionists wy of doing it.

If you want to have a good time on a holiday weekend, spend it at home with your family. Glamis is just stupid on holiday weekends. On top of what everyone else has said about Rangers, people acting stupid and hurting others. The dunes get so rutted out that you can hardly have a good time riding becasue it's so damn rough. I avoid holiday weekends like the plague. It is kind neat to go one time just to experiance it and see how many people are out there and see some of these 175k buggies and stuff, but other then that stay home.

I do concur! OC is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST pain I have ever felt! It feels like you cannot breath while your face is being peeled of your head. Then to top it off the only way to get rid of it is to wash your skin, which in turn reactivates it. We had a kid that got sprayed that went ballistic and started running around and ran full speed into a wooden fence and knocked his ass unconscious.
