  1. unless a plug is carbon bridged, you cant just sandpaper a plug and expect to unfowl it. pugs fowl on the ceramic insulator, not the electrodes.
  2. insulation works good.
  3. i used to be into r/c cars, i had a losi gtx, an associated t3, a kyosho turbo inferno mp5. also did some dabbling in r/c glow planes and airboats. its alot of fun but one day i realised that it would probably be more fun to do that stuff in real life so i sold my r/c gear and got into offroad rally cross. its much more fun to actually be IN a car drifting at 60mph through a dirt course than it is to race r/c at a hobby track. and in all honesty its not much more expensive.
  4. it was a stupid question. i gave a stupid answer.
  5. how do you find out which countys are legal and which are not oegal to ride in?
  6. get some canadian 2007 banshee fenders in red for youre banshee so when you have the banshee in the bed it can match the truck.
  7. whats yer elevation? if at or near sea level, toomey recomends a 280 main with the t5's.
  8. i could swing by and pick youre banshee and riding gear up if you got no other option. its kinda out of the way but id rather drive the 100 miles to pick ya up then see ya miss the entire event. youre the one who is organising this thing. you have to show up.
  9. i was awalys under the impression that advaicing the timing on a banshee made for greater low rpm power and less high rpm power. atleast thats pretty much what everyone here says. according to vito's, its the opposite. so, whats going on here. does advancing the timing really do as they say, or did they just pull that dyno chart out of their ass and make it all up? what would happen to the power curve if you installed the timing key backwards and retarded the timing by 4 degrees?
  10. it looks good but wont you loose alot of airflow with that grille? it looks like it blocks off alot of air.
  11. cound there be crud in the gastank or the fuel line restricting flow to the carb? pull the line off the carb and turn the fuel on. make sure the gas flows out really good.
  12. ive never had banshee wheel bearings out before so you can take this with a grain of salt. are the front bearings able to be tightend similar to a car? if they are and youre bearings are really lose it would cause that play. take the front wheels and hubs off and have a look at the wheelbearings.
  13. jeff @ fast, if you read this can you please make a new thread on the main section when the website it up? thanks.
  14. i like to go to home depot and get some 1.5 inch conduit tubing in a 180 degree bend. i mount it to the head and have it come out by the foot pegs like a drag pipe only it costs like 5 bucks unlike aftermarket pipes which cost 500 and up.
  15. ya, DAJOGEJR rocks! hes helped me out before too.
  16. i like the inboard drag pipes. ive never heard anyone call them inboard before.
  17. ususlly i run castrol grand prix 2 stroke but lately ive been using the walmart supertech 2 stroke universal small engine oil. whichever oil i run, i use it at the 25:1 ratio that is out of the yamaha owners manual.
  18. what is his website, anyone know? i searched but couldnt find anything.
  19. when running knobbys on asphalt i have found that airing them up as high as i dare makes for a quicker pass. with high pressure i get more wheelspin off the line but the high pressure has substancially less rolling resistance and makes for alot quicker acceleration once they do hook up. what ive found is that the tradeoff is worth it, atleast for me. in reality, knobbys dont belong on asphalt. the open tread blocks fold over as you go and create huge ammounts of drag.
  20. haha yeah take a video of some 2nd gear reverse donuts.
  21. does the manufacturer also require them to charge $250 per hour labour rate to assemble it?
  22. ive never seen a 2 stroke throw a spark.
  23. lube all the cables, grease the brake and clutch lever, grease the foot brake lever, check the rear axle bolts to be sure they are properly tightend. wouldnt hurt to bleed the brakes.
  24. 6 month warranty. the dealers will tell you they cant sell a bsnshee crated because of liability or whatever, but honestly its just because they want to charge you $500 or so to uncrate it and 2 hours to put it together. its just a way to make more money.
  25. its like $10 for a year. whats wrong with that? i donated to bansheehq. i dnoated to macdizzy. i like it because manditory donation keeps out kids, cheap asses, scammers, etc.
