i changed the oil on my shee today and everything was fine.i also took out the plugs to check them [i rode 2 x on new ones] and the bottom and inside was black.the one on the left side had gas on it. why is this happening? it is also still smoking on the right side but not as bad. when i checked the pressure out of the rear pipes the one on the left side didnt have as much pressure.whats that from? i even switched the plug wires around and it was the same outcome. can anyone shed some light on this for me? i rode it throgh the parking lot and it still came up in the air fine and it had good power. as far as the smoking right side people have told me that the crank seal is going bad.after it warmed up most of the smoking went away.why is that? i would think that if the seal is going bad there would be oil on the right plug[theres none,just the black]. also at idle there is a pinging sound. please help me out.i dont want to have to split the cases if i dont have to. ::

i have fatty silencers on my 1995 shee. i have a friend who has some fmf headers that need to be cleaned up but has no holes in them. will those headers match up to my silencers that i have now?will it make it run faster than the stock headers i have on them now?i was going to get some new toomeys but they are a little expensive and i'm saving for x-mas. please give me some input on this.one more question,does it matter that they are not chrome? they have no dents or leaks

one more thing, while i have my shee tore down, is there a way that i can polish my case covers to be shiney rather than that black? is there something that i can hook to a drill like a buffer wheel to do this? i have this tore down and want it to look the best. thanks for your help :beer:

i have narrowed my problem down to my right crank seal being bad, so i'm tearing the engine down today. i'm putting a new crank in, new pistons, ect. can anyone tell me if getting the jugs ported and polished is going to make a big difference in hp? also do those toomey t.6's make a difference in hp too? i want to do everything right and have basically a new motor for recreational use. i want this shee to really scream when i'm done. what is a shift star? i have been having trouble with the way it shifts and finding neutral and i want to fix that when i'm in the cases. is it just as good to have my crank welded and trued rather than replace it ?thats alot cheaper but i want to do it right. if i do it should i replace the rods and bearings? please give me some input

this is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont mess with it.at all!!!!!!!!!1i have bought alot of stuff off of ebay and if it looks to good to be true,step back from it. if you dont believe me email the guy and say that i need a phone # because i have some questions to ask you . i bet hes out of town on business and also i bet the bike is one place and hes over seas on business. i had a guy try to get me like that and and i did what i told you to do .the bike was in miami and he was in the u.k. he said his brother in law was selling it for him.i said give me the phone # i just happen to be coming to miami in 2 days so i can pick it up. he wwas bullshitting so i saved all of his emails and reported him to ebay security. it wasnt because he could have got me, i didnt want him to get someone else who is not street smart.go to ebay motors and look at the left side of the screen and you will see all the scams that people have pulled.........one big red flag,he gave you his own email address and he should have went thru ebay.....i hope i have been a help to you, so leave that one alone. a good deal will come along sooner than you think.......peace bro and good luck................ ::

you got that right.tyson got hands of stone.i grew up boxing in d.c. and that dudes hard as nails.his career was managed wrong and the money went to his head.i think that would happen to the best people at a young age like that.............. tyson isnt going to go into [the game] only knowing how to box.i'm sure that he's been training for awhile now and might do pretty good.that dude lost alot of paper and he's trying to get that back.......who wouldn't?as far as ken shamrock goes,he's a has been and ortiz is going to punish him bad ..................

i having the same problem with my banshee. will bad wires make it run bad also?it has the excessive smoke but its like running one 1 cylynder.can i just pull one wire of and switch it to the next

i just want to say thank you for all the input you people have given me.i was told that the right crank seal was bad thats why it was smoking so much out of the right side exhaust [brake side].tedder wrote that he wasnt sure that it was crank seal.its not leaking any oil like he said at all.a friend told me to do a compression test and i havent had any time.i'm a tattoo artist and have an extremely busy schedule..... all i know that it pours smoke out of the right side the last time i rode it.one person said that if that seal goes bad it lets the tranny oil past the seal and into the right cylinder which makes perfect since to me .[i was a bmw tech for 5 years] it has alot of missing in the engine also.i like to do wheelies and its missing to much for that.i had swamped it asbout a month ago [water over the pipes] and it hasnt run right since.i only bought this thing about a month and a half ago and am sort of pissed off. i hope that it dont end up costing me thousands of dollars more.i only like to have fun on it.but hey if i got to fix it any way, i'm going to make this thing as fast as can be. another question do any of you let people ride your quad? i let one person and he really dont know what hes doing. when i get this rolling hard thats out the question,[buy your own shit...............thanks again..............i love this site and having a banshee..................

how can i find the fast toys guys email to get my bike going

if my crank seal is bad will it hurt the bike to ride it untill i get seals put in if i keep the oil topped off

i have a 1995 banshee and i'm getting ready to replace the crank seals. while i have it all tore down i'm going to do the pistons and i would like to know if there is anything else i can do on a reasonable buget to make this run faster?also i would like to know where a good place on the net is to buy parts at a good price. is there also a type of racing clutch i can put in? this is my first quad and i want this to really scream more than it does now.after what i have seen what people have done to there quads on here, i'm hyped on getting it done right...........thanks for any input you can give me........................chris

do those t5's make a big difference? i just bought a 1995 banshee and all i have are fatty silencers with factory pipes.i was told by the guy at the machine shop i should get t5's

i paid $2200 for the banshee. i got it from the original owner. are you sure that it isnt rings?if it is the crank seal, can you tell me what i can do to make this thing faster? could it be that the oil mixture is wrong? i have been running it about 24 to 1 now. today i went to about 40 to 1 and it started to smoke like that.

i have recently bought a 1995 yamaha banshee and was running fine but has since started missing.i changed the plugs to ngk b8es and it made run better for an hour or so. this morning i went out for a couple of hours and now there is excessive coming out of the right tail pipe{throttle side} along with alot of oil at the end of the silencer.it also is missing worse. could my bike need rings on that side of the head?i know if i do one i'm going to do both sides.the guy i bought it from said they were done a year ago but that seems a little long to me. should i go ahead and replace the pistons also? is there some other stuff i could do while i have the head off to make this atv faster than it already is? i hope someone else can help me on this ........you can also email me at theskin [email protected].......... once again thank you
