  1. Look the same to me, except Ricky puts a crossbar on his mounts so when you adjust the lights they both point out at the same height.
  2. Crazy, is that Duners Ditch in Sand Lake that your riding out of in your sig?
  3. Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe.
  4. You might be pinging from high comp with not enough octane, or too much timing, I have never seen a bike detonate and the motor live much longer than about 5 seconds after that. More than likely if it didn't do it before, and it did it after you worked on it, then you did something wrong.
  5. White smoke means your butning coolant. Why do you have a drag bike with a mild port job on alcohol?
  6. I wonder if thats 165hp on a dyno jet, or on a crank dyno.
  7. Sounds like an idle issue, and a possible coolant issue. Was the bike real hot when you saw the coolant.
  8. Float height in the carb at 11mm too. Found out tonight mine was at 9.3mm, not good.
  9. Well the guy asked who owned the bike so he could find out where to get the lights, I just posted the link straight to the duner lights.
  10. Yup it is 3 phase. Heres a pic of a 450r stator. If you get a single phase, full wave reg/rec then it needs to be a zero loss unit. Otherwise the units like Ricky Stator sells lose about 70 watts on a dc conversion.
  11. Buying the what?
  12. I think its an ac/dc split system, cause trail tech sells a full on crf450 conversion with flywheel to switch them over to dc for starter and battery. So, my guess is the regulator probably isn't big enough to handle a whole lot of wattage, or current (amps) in this case. Your gonna need a single phase, full wave rectifier. What stator do you have, or want to run for this setup? What size is the battery?
  13. Your compression is too low with 18cc domes, it should be upwards of 170 psi with 18cc dome. I run 20cc domes and mine sits at 155 psi. I realize your at a higher elevation, but it should still be 165 range with 18cc dome. Have you checked your squish? Needs to be .040"-.065" range. I run stock reed cages with carbon tech low-mid reeds and reed spacers.
  14. Did it come off a 450r with electric start and a battery?
  15. Whats the elevation you ride at in Washington, or where is it at?
  16. I would say its not a banshee anymore when it does not incorporate any stock or aftermarket parts in at least 50% of the bike.
  17. What pipes, tires, carbs, reeds, intake, etc..... Dave Moore makes the best ignitions out there, but he has some restrictions as to how you can get one from him. Dave Moore Racing Link
  18. dek needle middle clip position, 48 pilot jet, air screw 2 turns out, 185-190 main jet.
  19. Ummm, I posted the link to the Ricky Stator duner light kits.
  20. You dont need a pvl unless you have a drag bike and run gobs of fuel through it. Why dont you start with what is already done to your bike first.
  21. Never seen a bike with a properly functioning reg/rectifier that consumes voltage from a battery. Yeah, so adding a diode to the banshee which does not have one will result in a .7v drop. Not to mention, if your way is so easy to do, then how come none of the manufacturers, or aftermarkets do it, or talk about it. The reg/rec setup with a battery is industry standard stuff through RS, Trail tech, and most of the aftermarket starter companies for snowmobiles like Goki. Auto alternators are 3 phase, with 3 zener diodes in the housing to rectify out dc voltage.
  22. The reg/rec should already be dioded, thats how it converts ac to dc. There is no need to install another diode, beside, it would create a .7 volt drop in the charge line. Thats assuming this rectifier will work.
  23. Need to know exactly how many terminals are on it.
